I can't get enough of these beauties. They are so eloquent in their movements and they try so very hard to please. Besides being gorgeous, they are as cute as they can be especially when you take into account their individual personalities. I totally agree that these videos should be put into every waiting room (Dr's etc) and especially dental offices! Relaxation to the max! Thank you Yvonne for this video. All of you are wonderful to watch.

Reintje understands when you ask her to collect, but she’s not quite sure exactly how much, she almost went full Piaffe for just a moment (too much!). She is learning so well. Thank you for showing why it takes many years training horse and rider to get to high level dressage. You are very good at it Yvonne!

Beautiful Yvonne. So regal, and majestic. Young lady you barely look as though you’re giving the horse a command. These animals have won my heart. Now I have to train to see if I would like to own one, because I know absolutely nothing about horses except I was on one a couple of times as a kid.

Reintje looks like she’s a joy to ride, as are all Friesians. I made the switch to a Friesian a couple of years ago now. I had to get used to the feel of the Friesian, as it’s a bit different from other warmbloods. But she’s a pleasure to ride and work with. No shows together yet, as they were all cancelled here due to covid. Oh well, more time to train. Loved your ride!! Hugs from Canada.

May I ask a question? We are wanting to breed Friesians in the future. We have the land, barn and finances and knowledge with raising foals and working with horses. Our issue is we don’t know how to ride so well - we will be taking riding lessons, but I’m definitely aware that this will take years to be in such a high level.
Is it irresponsible or bad to breed Friesians when you can’t ride like this?
I would like to add, we’ve been Maine coon breeders for 10 years and know all about the right health testing, inbreeding and what to look for.

Glue your seat to the horse?🙂🙂 I'll have to watch more to find out! I do remember in one of my few riding lessons on a well trained horse, that the horse could detect what direction I wanted to go by the subtle shift in my weight on the saddle as I turned my head slightly to look in that direction. Amazing! I'm surprised the woman even let me on her horse! She said her horse was experienced enough to be able to tolerate the mixed signals an inexperienced rider could send.

Perhaps someone else remembers why the muscles "acidify" more quickly than those of other horses.

Anne Hamilton Yvonne started riding at 7 years old she had to learn, most kids in the Netherlands are exposed to horses/riding at an early age and there’s schools that teach kids specifically but she said she didn’t get the horse bug from her parents as they didn’t ride. There’s a picture in the Community section of Yvonne’s mem Sandra on Uniek, she’d never ridden a horse before then I don’t think.Faya goes to one of the schools to help with her riding and of course she’s got all the Goengamieden horses to help her as well.💗💗🐴🐴

Jeanny Friedden It’s clear from Yvonne’s explanation that she is NOT doing that with Reintje she responds well to what she’s being asked her body language is relaxed & easy going she’s not tense or afraid horses who are used in Rolkur have no bond with their rider and wouldn’t respond to them the way Reintje’s doing here. You obviously have no clue what you’re talking about Yvonne is doing DRESSAGE training with Reintje all the horses at Goengamieden are beyond loved & well cared for take your negativity elsewhere it’s not wanted here🙄🙈this stable is the LAST place where such a tactic will be used so you Miss can walk away & leave this channel,Shannon MOD.

Rein is the owner of the stable and Yvonne is a senior employee. They are not married. Rein is a common name in Friesland and the Netherlands. The neighbors boy, who helps at the stable often, is called Rein as well. So, sometimes there are three Reins and a Reintje in the stable 🙂.
