Rising Star is such a beautiful, inquisitive, friendly, and lovable, horse. He is such a funny, guy to watch. He is not intimidated by the size of the other members of the herd. He is a example of joy in the midst of a sad beginning. His mem, Uniek has given him such unconditional love and confidence! Much love and thanks to all at Stal G!

It's true, Rising Star has a noticeably different built than Rinse Janko. Both of them look strong and healthy, but Rinse Janko has a more compact, rounded built, whereas Rising Star is all lean muscle. Wish, we could see them grow up together and keep comparing their exterior and temperament, as they mature.
I guessed that Rising Star was a thoroughbred. He is such a magnificent boy!! I have enjoyed watching him and his adopted Mom from the first, when she grabbed him like he was her own. What a sweet, sweet story. Thank you for sharing with us.

Rising Star is very fortunate indeed , raised by a mare is far better than being fostered by humans. The foal will learn how to be a horse, and healthier psychologically for it. Horses raised by humans are at risk of acquiring undesirable behaviors.

I remember the story on what happened to RS mom. So sad and that Uniek lost her baby. So sad but what an amazingly happy coincidence that she needed a baby and he needed a mom. It was meant to be and he is such a sweet foal. Such a tragic thing that happened to have a happy ending. I assume RS will go back to his owners once he is weaned. I hope we can keep up with him afterwards. He really is such a sweet foal and mom is the best. I’m just so grateful that she is yours. You remind me so much of my instructor I had when I was younger. She just had this amazing way with the horses. I learned so much from her.

Queen and RS are working out so beautifully together. Queen is so protective of RS. Whenever I see them both I can't help but realize what a miracle they both are. All of the horses are beautiful and taken care of so perfectly!
I love the panoramic views of the meadows, so peaceful and pastoral. RS has a very sweet disposition, it'll be interesting to see how this changes (or not) as he becomes a stallion. He certainly is beautiful. Fun to see the foals learning to roll, starting to nibble grass, etc. ❤️

He is learning to pay attention to the Minutest of detail" from his Momma - As that is one of her biggest traits. He Is such a fine little man.. I really enjoy watching all of them, but there is a special place in my heart for these two sweethearts.
Your videos have been helping me through my health difficulties and depression. My mood instantly changes watching you and the horses and every one. I've learned more too. If I win a huge lottery I'd find a farm like yours, in beautiful place, even in your country, have horses, have a crew to care for them, and wake up every morning visiting the barn and watching the pastures. The crew working with them will help educate me to learn more about them. Whatever weather I'd enjoy them. That would be my heaven on earth. God bless to all.
If it’s even a possibility where you live find a ranch nearby that offers trail rides! I took one once and realized how happy it made me (my pfp was taken at the ranch I love to go riding at). It’s an amazing experience
Following the herd has helped heal my grief at losing my dad over ten years ago. He was a horse whisperer like Yvonne and, aged 99, as he was dying, he spoke of seeing beautiful horses. Two weeks after his death, I noticed stunning coloured horses, possibly Appaloosas in a field where there had never been horses before. I like to think Dad sent them, to let me know he was still around in spirit. I have never seen those beautiful horses again.
It’s more that she came over to greet Yvonne and get her own cuddles rather than her being over protective;Yvonne is her person & she trusts her infinitely if Uniek were on high alert and feeling particularly protective her body language would have been much different and she knows RS is safe with Yvonne.🌟🌟
My old mare born March 1st 1968 was a Gelderland crossed with an Arab. She was beautiful. Her sire's stud name was Illegal immigrant! His dam had been pregnant when she came to Britain in the early 60's but they had thought the insemination had failed and she was not in foal. What a lovely surprise. My mare went on to have 5 foals and I bought her. She suffered terrible laminitis from being a brood mare so when I bought her she was just pampered and ridden out on hacks and the odd bit of schooling. She was the kindest most gentle, quirky horse I've ever had. I had special shoes made with heels so she could walk without her soles on the ground and that meant she didn't need pain relief. It worked for 3 years. Alas she got arthritis and the 2 conditions made it unbearable. She lost her fight aged 33. RIP Treasure. You were my soulmate and I love you still.

To me, he looks more sorrel than chestnut. Chestnuts are more brown according to what I was taught growing up. But I agree he is one handsome little chap.

So Rising Star has Thoroughbred somewhere in his pedigree. I thought so, because he looks like a quality Thoroughbred foal. In overall looks, he is indistinguishable from Thoroughbred foals at the top race breeding farms. RS certainly has the conformation to be a high class horse in whatever endeavor his owners point him toward.

agreed! I think he could grow into an amazing hacking horse, especially on more difficult terrain with his Sporthorse blood. tree fell across the creek? no problem!! of course, he’ll probably go on to much great heights than a hacking horse, but I’m a hacker so I see what I want!
To me, he looks more sorrel than chestnut. Chestnuts are more brown according to what I was taught growing up. But I agree he is one handsome little chap.

So Rising Star has Thoroughbred somewhere in his pedigree. I thought so, because he looks like a quality Thoroughbred foal. In overall looks, he is indistinguishable from Thoroughbred foals at the top race breeding farms. RS certainly has the conformation to be a high class horse in whatever endeavor his owners point him toward.
