I'm dying to get started on my cross kart and my kids will be stoked for a 2 seater.
If we never make mistakes how can we learn from them. It was an easy fix anyway, I was just so excited to get that two seater frame together! This is going to be a fun one! I can’t wait to see everyone’s builds and I can’t wait to take my little girl for a squealing ride! Thank you for the compliment.

Absolutely! a two seater is the ONLY way to go! Now install a 4-cylinder auto engine and transmission and then it will be right!

Been waiting for this, I’ve been building a single seat buggy (Edge) but I keep holding off working on it as I really need a 2 seater to take the kids.
There are going to be a lot of happy kids when we get these built!
Motorcycle or electric driven formula one karts would be a cool weekend toys as well.
Well I have a VF-1 and a VF-2, there are plenty more numbers to use and designs on the way 🤓
I finished the go kart and its amazing, its super fast i have a yamaha 750 motor in it

I have found using a chalk line can work well for marking centerline if you dont' have long straight metal.

@@KJRaycing what are you going to use for a donor engine on this one? I have been thinking a large selectable 4wd 4wheeler would be awesome. Like a Honda 520 electric shift. Not as fun but practical
I really like what your doing in the use of the angle gauge and spring back using the pin as a reference. After you have the slop out you zero the angle gauge so if the level of the bender is off level in that direction zero takes care of it, but how concerned are you about the bender being level left to right? Very well done build video
This looks great Kyle ! I cut up 2 of the 1 1/2 " tube sections today before the rains came. I have sent all 11 of my clamp blocks out to Rogue Fab to have the indexing marks engraved . So far everything is going smoothly.
I heard about Rogue doing some exchanges for the guys who just bought their setup. Man they are awesome guys! It is so fun to get started on a new build, right?

A two seater single rear wheel autocycle (reverse Trike) would be a good option for a next build. Street driven, lower ride height.
Next build is already decided… it has four wheels but is not a kart. 😁

how hard it would be to modify VF2 so i could use car engine? i'd gladly take 600+ cc bike engine, but where i live even 20 years old are well above 1K €€...

This is awesome! I've been wanting a crosskart for so long, but I'd love one of my boy's to ride around with me too!! Too bad I don't know how to weld lol... you don't live in NC by any chance do ya? lol...
I don’t live near NC, sorry. I use a pretty simple welder and learning to weld this stuff isn’t too hard. It is the perfect thickness of metal to weld everything easily with a simple mig setup. I use a Lincoln 140HD that just uses a normal house outlet and my welds come out strong.
Best thing you could do is grab some scrap, buy a welder and have at it. You'll notice changes in your ability with nearly every pass.

I’ve watched all your videos and now I’m about to spend a bunch of money building one of these.
A question before I buy your plans I’m a tall person (6’3”) what pipes should I extend? And by how much? Or would the plans be fine for me?
Man that is really cool to hear and thank you. The details are in the plans of exactly which pieces to extend. I cover it in the two seater videos although I didn’t stretch this one. It is very similar to the single seat stretch process I did for the budget build if you want more of a walkthrough.

I dont understand why you would build a jig in order to build a chassis......you can make mistakes building the jig just as easily on the chassis without it .
So is it so you can build multiple chassis and speed up the production?
It’s because I’ve built one without a jig. All of this comes from experience. The jig uses 90 degree angles and simple measurements, so it’s actually very hard to make mistakes. The proof is in the success of the guys building these. The hardest part is to start and guys always looking for problems rarely start on anything. I wish you the best 👍

Hi Sir very nice I like both Crosskarts but this is better and real cool I will be watching as I do all of your videos keep the great build up just would like to ask being you are building this new two seat crosskart have you had thoughts on building one with 4x4 set up that would be really the coolest yet and guy in woods trails would like to have onein a 4x4 set up it would not be that hard to do just use 4x4 spindles and differentials for a Quad hope maybe you might build one some day.
Thank you! I left some room open in the front for a differential setup, but honestly 4wd is not really my thing. I really love the feel and challenge of 2wd. And I love how simple and inexpensive it is too. More moving parts means more stuff to fix. I look for busted up inexpensive utility quads that could handle the power of a 4 cylinder, but I haven’t found a cheap donor yet… thanks again!

What size tubing do you use?
How many mph slower does this 2 seat version go compared to the 1 seater? and how much more does it weigh?
The chassis weighs about 50 pounds more. Added weight of passenger seat and passenger vary. Speed is however you gear it 👍
How much does the frame weigh for the xl
About 120 pounds I’m guessing.
Hey there I was wondering if there is a specific thickness on the square tubing for your jig
The square tubing is not structural, so I get the least expensive at the time. I’ve used .065 to .095 and maybe even .120. Get a price check on all of them.

Is there a cheaper alternative you would recommend for a tube bender?
Sorry, I only know Rogue Fab. I wish this stuff could be less expensive but it’s not. This is the most inexpensive way to build a safe high performance machine.

1.5” and 1.25” Dom tubing for the frame.

Where do you get the tubing for these builds?
I buy locally. Metal supermarkets is a great place with stores nationwide. It is always less expensive than buying online.

Looks great! How much space is available for the engine? I'm thinking on using a 1.3 honda jazz engine
Well there is as much space as you need. But the space used for the motor will take away from room for the driver... You may want to consider stretching the chassis and using all .120 tubing if you are going to use a car engine. It will end up being heavier which means more expensive shocks, hubs and driveline. There is a reason these karts are so fast and fun and that is because they are EXTREMELY light and nimble. Good luck, I hope it works out for you.

Plans are not metric but lots of guys have just converted the numbers for their builds. It doesn’t take too long and it’s totally worth it. Good luck 👍

1000 bucks for a "cheap" bender.😂 Unless you're building a shitload of frames there is no way to justify spending that much on a bender.
You can be one of the smart ones that spends $20k on a sxs or $50k on a Sierra car Vs Under $10k with tools to build your own. You got me…
Jd2 does just fine if you can find one for cheap. I made my own clone personally. The Rouge fab is just less effort and can be more accurate. Either way, comes down to the operator
