Hey there KJ! I bought your plans and parts list about 6 months ago, haven't gotten around to starting the project just yet. My biggest issue so far has been trying to find A arms. my understanding is that I cannot use two sets of front A arms for this build (front A arms in the front and front A arms in the back). That being the case, Is there a different ATV model i could find IRS a arms that would fit your plans? I am also curious what the eye-to-eye measurement is for the shocks used. The reason I ask all this is I have found it extremely difficult to find a polaris 525 IRS in any useable condition, and the rear suspension parts are equally as difficult to find it seems. if you know of any places to find them that I don't know about, that would be much appreciated!
Hey, thank you for joining in on the fun! Rear a-arms are included in the plans. They have worked great on everyones builds. The shocks are roughly 16” eye to eye but the chassis is pretty easy going as far as shock mounting so they don’t meed to be a specific length. You can use polaris predator front shocks on all four corners as they are very similar to the outlaw shocks. I’ve been picking them up for under $100 each on ebay. The ktm 525 is definitely my favorite but all kinds of different engines have been used with great success. I hope you get started soon, we all love new builds!
Well the chassis is definitely made to be a blank canvas for whatever you are dreaming of. So many different builds with their own personality from the chassis. Check the description for a link to downloadable plans to get a huuuuge head start. Enjoy the build 👍
These are awesome! I've dreamed a lot about opening up a karting place with karts like these on a dirt track with a bunch of features. I think it would be so cool! Almost exactly the types of karts i was envisioning!
This is the best video I’ve ever seen in a while. This guy here is someone who truly wants to show someone how to do something because every other video you could find someone trying to do this is spending thousands of dollars or is not showing you how to do it correctly this man here is an example of someone who could do something correctly and cost-effectively. I was gonna build one of these over the summer, and I had no clue where to start but this man here showed me how to get started correctly and at the same time it looks pretty cost effective so if the man who made this video sees this, I would love to say thank you and you could truly do good work in the world
Love it! That thing rips! Love seeing people fabricate things instead of just buying. Great job, looked like you really enjoyed building it. I can't decide what I want to build next myself...
Lot’s of first time builders having success… I did a budget kart that has a predator 420 and tops out around 50, great way to cut your teeth before building one for lightspeed.
Thank you so much! There are so many people building this, and they are all successful. We have a real movement happening. I wish you the best with your builds 🦾
Thank you so much! This is not a business. It is my hobby that I’m sharing at the request of like-minded garage builders. So many guys want a project like this so I was happy to help out.
I really get this feeling because this project looks rather large and all, that taking on a task like this would be better in a persons home shop or garage of choice rather than in a driveway freezing thier ass off! I think that's fair to say with how junkie countires have got with quality! And shows here the work is still tough enough! I mean kindness goes a long way becuase this work is accomplished with love! I would think that makes this go alot longer with care in mind! What a quality build! Idk, the camera angels where as quality as the welding!
brilliant.....every petrol heads dream / fun"". Great choice of engine. I like everything you have done. My own preference would be keeping stock carbs air box & exhaust, instead of air filter pods.
I absolutely LOVE what you did on this Kart. I've got a rebuilt R1 engine that I'd love to put in something like this... but I don't have the welding or fabrication skills/tools to do it. Wish I knew where I could buy a frame that would let me drop my motor into!
Thank you! When it comes to fabrication, the hardest part is to start. Once you bend, notch and weld your first piece it's all downhill. It's extremely difficult to make a roller because there are sooo many different engines out there. Take a crack at starting fab work, you won't be disappointed, and I show you everything step by step. I wish you the best!
Wow that is absolutely crazy. I am looking to build something like this using your blue print. Could you approximately tell me what each thing cost. Because I don't want to spend money on the blue print and then find out I can't afford it. Also how long of a time did it take. But great job! Work Of Art. Looking forward from hearing from you.
Man they are so fun!!! Fun to build along with fun to drive. All of the info you are looking for is on the channel. This is a well documented build and I walk you through every step to build yours. Here is a video to get you started… ruclips.net/video/2hvp7eO6W2s/видео.html In short these can be built for under 2k all the way up to whatever you can afford. My average build cost for the ones with gears is around $6k. Enjoy the build 🦾
Thanks man! Lot’s of guys putting their dreams together with this chassis. It is a blank canvas for your imagination. I can’t wait to see what you come up with! Enjoy the build 👍
This looks way more fun than an ATV. I think that would be a good donor source for all kinds of components, in fact almost everything except the frame. You could probably use much of the front and rear frame clips for the suspension....just fabbing up the cage and cockpit area.
Yup! That was the idea. And man does it work well! I do make tabs for the suspension just to customize it and align it correctly, but yes. The VF-1 Chassis is a blank canvas for however you want to set up a single seat kart.
Heck yeah man! Thank you, I dreamed of this for a long time too. It’s still hard to believe it all came together like this and now over a thousand people are building my designs; and loving it. Thank you again. -Kyle
There's always going to be the wing vs no wing critics, so I made it easily removable. These have been in my head for almost 20 years and they are waaay better that I imagined, thank you so much!
Thanks man! Heavyweights definitely had a heavy (no pun intended) affect on what I wanted for a hobby when I grew up. One of the best filmed go kart races of all time.

He keeps things so clean makes it look so easy. Years of experience I think. He's Living the dream..
Also having all the equipment helps a lot!! Especially the tube bender.
Man your ability to piece those things together is very impressive. You got something special man.
Thank you! There are lots of people piecing together their own works from the plans too, that’s my favorite part.
You should be very proud of that.

just pure talent. i enjoyed watching the process
You're living my dream here! Amazing build
Thank you! It’s been my dream for almost 20 years, I’m glad I finally got to do it. 👍

This is my dream as well.
It is one of the coolest dads I've ever seen. Good luck. Amazing projects. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much. I love building these things so much!
Mom and Dad are going to love what you did for the yard!
The stability of the cart at high speed when turning is just crazy. Amazing project! I'd like to make my own modified version. 😮👍🏻

Nice work. You have inspired me to get back to the workshop and finish my cross cart. Its been sitting to long but not anymore.
Heck yeah man! You will be so happy when you finish it. A lot of the things I use on my karts can be used on most home builts.
Same, going on 3 years now

That one with the pushrod suspension is super cool!
Oh I know! He is so close to running it for the first time, all of us in the facebook build group are anxiously waiting.
what a great episode! love the shifter you did for it, really great idea using heim joints and locking colors!
Thank You! Necessity is the mother of invention. I like simple things with lots of adjustment.
Which engine used here? Amazing work bro❤😊
@@sea_clicks all five of the karts KJ has built have different engines, the "VF" stands for Variable Frame
God the drifting on those are nutty. Must have spent all week ripping around in them.
Thanks man! The drifting and controllability is absolute insane! We rip on them whenever we get the chance! Start building yours and come play 🦾
And that, my guys, is why this man makes the big bucks
13:44 lol i really like this shot, it looks like the intro of a anime, awesome project
There would be so much more drone footage if I could drive and fly at the same time 😁
I'll just tell the better half "it's practically a roll cage on wheels!" Looks like so much fun!
Oh man it is a blast! My wife likes driving them too, I guess I’m pretty lucky like that.
Tremendous video! The build/the carts/the driving and the filming, editing and music was top notch. Wish we were best friends!
Thank you very much! 👍🦾
WOW! That blue kart #5 doesn't play around!! uncontrollable fun.
It can get a little rowdy for sure!
It's actually very controllable
veramente cazzuta la dima per il montaggio, complimenti!!!
Now that's a go-Kart. Nice work.
Hell yeah! Thank you.
Super envious! I have a ton of ideas, but not a shop to bring them alive!! Well see, maybe one day.
Set goals! I slowly built my shop up over 15 years to be able to do this stuff.
Those frames with the shifter setup. SICK.
I’m glad your channel is getting the recognition it deserves bro!!!!!! It was was just a matter of time!!!!!!!
Holy smokes I know! Now the pressure is on to keep the momentum up. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!
Daaamn going hard with the IRS!
The only way to go
You definitely got skills brother... outstanding build.... so much for the grass though...
Thanks man! I bought my house with a little extra room for fun. These do make great lawn aerators 😁
I can only imagine the things he built with Legos as a child ….. amazing!
you are the man when it comes to fabricating hope one day I can meet somebody like you to teach me how to fabricate
Thank you so much. I try to show you guys everything from idea to design to fabrication so I hope you are learning a lot!
That’s a lot of work I am impressed..great job it looks amazing

i like how it had like 5 diff engines in it pretty cool
