I made my own by weaving paracord in a cobra pattern, it has a better look, I don’t have to worry about elasticity, and best of all if I ever found myself in a dire situation the retention is still attached to me, I’ll still have my rifle sling, and the cord can be unwoven into a survival tool. Its always best to customize gear to your needs.
hello friend, you could get a lanyard on Amazon better from the brand LytHarvest... Or similar and additional you put a Kong carabiner on it and it would look great for little money.
Looking at one of these for airsoft, to retain a secondary weapon. D'you reckon this would be reliable with a standalone grenade launcher platform, for airsoft purposes? As in, to keep an SMG-sized weapon retained until the situation to use it comes up?
I owned a TAG Intrepid chest rig for a while and must say i was sorely dissapointed with the quality. Now this is the only experience i have with the brand but it left a bad taste in my mouth. Whats your experience with TAG?
+Joris R I spent $40 on my Vel Tye retention strap, got it in coyote and spray painted it green. It holds up well. Metal hook to go on Molle but has no grab tab. I use it with an S2 Delta sling

Thank for the video I was wondering how this actually worked seeing them on MOS Tactical. They're my favorite I got half my JPC made up of their mods.

Just ordered one! Done with the bungee cord we get issued!

So Retention hook will be long enough that you can use weapon and just swing it and it wont fall?
That is not how it is designed to be used. It is just used to stow rifle to the side. You will need to unhook it to use rifle.
