As a long term player of Valheim, these are the most detailed and well shot videos I have ever seen, pretty amazing talent for a small channel and I can't wait to see more!
🤓🤓🤓
@@Timbdrhnm 🤯🤯🤯
They even broke the video down into segments. You can tell they care about what they do.
Holy crap, a well-presented, to-the-point, detailed and highly factual video without any fluff or clickbait - am I dreaming? Thank you!
Leviathans do not respawn once submerged. But there is a thing you can do to prevent them from sinking, potentially letting players harvest all of the barnacles.
All that needs to be done, is to log out of the world once a leviathan starts its sinking animation. Logging back in will have the leviathan floating there as if nothing had happened, letting you resume your harvesting. If it starts to sink again, repeat the process of re-logging to your heart's content.
This could be viewed as an exploit of the game's mechanics, but since these leviathans never respawn once submerged, I personally feel little remorse about it, mainly because I like to have them arround and seeing them every once in a while when I go sailing. Having them gone makes me a little sad. Anyways, there you have it. This trick can allow you to harvest all of the barnacles in their totallity. But do bear in mind that mining all of the barnacles can potentially make it impossible to remove the leviathan for ever since hitting the barnacles is what causes the sinking animation to start. No barnables = no sinking! At least... I think thats the case. Do what you wish with this information, I hope it helps!
Now we all have Leviathan islands with one barnacle each lol
It's not really necessary.... unless endgame stuff needs it and I just haven't gotten there yet.
I like the idea that you can preserve them on the ocean-scape. Perhaps the devs will let them re-surface barnacle-less to get the same picturesque effect?
This comment saved me HOURS!!! THANK YOU SIR!!!
The quality of these videos is amazing, feels like something the actual devs would produce. Keep it up!
Your Valheim guides are some of the most thorough and well shot I’ve seen. Always a pleasure to watch. I go out of my way to like and share your stuff. Keep it up!
Ty friend, I rly appreciate it! Skål!
Small tip, when harvesting chitin and the leviathan starts to move you can log out and log back in and continue to harvest it. Not sure if iron gate patched this out but its worth knowing
1:24 - 1:30 is an amazing shot
I know this is old, but chitin is pronounced "kai-tin."
It's basically an organic compound bugs are made of.
Great video.
fun fact, both pronunciations are correct in the english language. I used to have massive debates about it with people in Ark and several of us finally asked our varying english professors in college and they all said, I think it was 3 or 4 of them, that you can say it either way.
@@ScootalooInMyShoe27Language evolves over time. If most people are saying it a new way. Guess what? That becomes the way. Like the ain't. Ain't is a word. It clearly communicates what you intend.
@@risingangelttvFor me too, Kye-tin is the correct pronunciation, but English is a malleable, changeable language...pronunciations aside, your video info was beautifully presented, clear and concise.
Fantastic! Thanks for including the detail about drowning damage! I had noticed I take varying amounts of damage but didn't know what it corresponded to.
Dude I could watch your videos just to purely listen to your chill voice, I see and respect the time put into the edits
To be honest. This deserves more views. I like how chill your videos are. I have a couple hundred hours in Valheim and I never get bored.
Thank you for the value you have brought to the game for me. I haven't seen a channel go this in-depth with valheim. I bought this game in Feb 21' and still have so much to learn. Thanks to your content I feel as if I've gotten a boost in that.
The video quality is insane! And I don't just mean the visuals, the way she explains everything is just so clear and easy to understand!
Thank you for providing us with these high qualitiy and informative Videos, looking forward to many more vids like this!
I just stumbled across your channel earlier this week, and I must say, I absolutely love your content. I've been playing valheim since it came out but my brother just got it on his Xbox and we've been watching all your videos to get him up to speed!
Hi! I love your guide videos. Hope to see more of these Valheim guides or any other game guides 🤗
Most complete guide I've seen of this subject. Thanks much!
Great content. I appreciate your explanation. You are on the spot. I would love to see more videos from you in the future.
you're by far the best valheim creator! your vidoes are entertaining while very informative!
Found your channel yesterday, and I love them. They're very much in the vein of what Valheim is to me - a deep, relaxing exploration game with many things to discover or do.
I spoiled myself with the latest vid (about taming, that fourth animal made me happy to see!) so I'll wait to play the live update with my friends before watching the next ones, but keep up the good work. By far the best Valheim channel.
I never thought about pulling my boars with the harpoon!
Great video! Like to see more of them, gl.
I'm really digging your presentation style and the level of polish you put into your Valheim videos. So here's a comment for the algorithm and to say:
Good job! Please keep them coming!
Awesome video! I watch all of your content, waiting patiently for more 😅 Thank you 💜
Just stumbled upon your channel. Was extreamly surprised to see how early on your subscriber numbers are. You are definetly giong to blow up and with your quality editing and focused video themes I'm sure you will become a Valheim (and other survival game) staple for the community. Keep it up!
As someone that has been playing this game from day one, and attempting to make videos on it. I thank you. Your videos are better, more detailed, and informed than mine. Though I do build more than learn this stuff, but that's what you are for! Keep up the great work!
Best video on the subject. Thank you
I started a channel about a year ago and I have to say I love the style of presentation you have and your ideas for videos are great! Its hard to not want to take on challenges you've set (the draugr village restore is great!) You should be very proud of the work you're doing!
Your guides are fantastic. Thanks!
Your guides are very informative and clean. Nice job!
i have been loving your content, really helpful
I love your videos Embr! Alas, my poor Viking Jorgen managed to irritate the one Leviathan he's found within a few seconds and hasn't managed to get enough for a harpoon.
Another great Valheim video. Great detail, tight script. You also have the voice of professional actor.
This help me out on my journey. Thank you.
1:04 the shots and angles you get for your vids are such a flex of cinematography skills
Amazing guides so must work and you deserve the praise
your guides are awesome!
Great video and explanation.
The quality of these videos is really high, seriously helpful info as well
May Alföðr smile on this brilliant channel.
Miss this content! your voice is amazing and I hope you make more vids!
I enjoyed the video :-)
Another fantastic video. TY!
If you are looking for feedback on other videos to make, I'd love to see a merchant video.
amazing video
very good job indeed
I saw 5 of them glued together yesterday, didn’t know I was a lucky duck
Very well done and I love your voice. xo
love it sub
Came here bc i was VERY confused about these wierd Islands around my Spwnisland. Turns out i have at least 3 in close proximity to my (medium sized) Starting island!
from what i heared from friends i thought i would only get one each world and considered mysself lucky when i saw one. Then ...another. And RIGHT NEXT TO IT A-N-O-T-H-E-R!
Thank you for the video as i now know what to even do with them haha! Guess its good stuff i'm gonna get there
Could you do a video about weapons and damage types? Great video, really well done!
Ty man, very kind! & yeah damage types is definitely on my to-do list
I stayed on the back of the one i found the other day when it started going down (didn't know what was happening lol) anyways my game froze after i got sucked down under the water, and my game crashed but it was ok cause i saved right before heading there, so just went back and jumped off this time when it started sinking. Really loving the abyssal razor though, a real step up from the copper knife
Maybe my game glitched but i was able to go back to the same leviathan a second time passing back by it omw back across the small sea from and finish off getting the chitin from it
You gotta be chitin me.
one of the best game ever made
You seem to be covering the mechanics of the more esoteric parts of the game which is awesome because that's the sort of stuff that you don't necessarily get just from playing or straight off of a single wiki page. Would you ever consider covering something like boss strategies or some less obvious general progression strategies? For example, using trolls to mine copper or using the antler pick in sunken crypts because it can be repaired more easily.
Definitely would consider doing things like this in the future! :D
I've just started (I think was it like a week ago it came to gamepass?) And I'm loving this game! When I get killed and have to try and get back to my stuff while running past what killed me (with no armour or weapons now)....I don't love that lol but that's part of the game
good guide.... but the way You say "Tji-tin" :D its Chitin... = Kai'tn
I really hope they will add leash at this point. |It just silly to move to ocean just to move the boar
I was sailing back to my home island after having explored some of my ocean and just ran straight into one without noticing it
It was really foggy as well as dark and I kept looking at my map and wondering how I had run into nothing
'Chitin' is pronounced KY-TIN. It sounds like you are saying 'chicken' sometimes. Great video.
Chitin is pronounced kai·tn. Other than that I enjoy all of your videos very much. The way you talk and how you present the detail are fantastic.
Depends where your from I think, it's like trying to correct someone on pronunciation of English when one is American and one is English , for me she got it right , people who pronounce it kai tin are wrong, but to each there own
@@nunyabuziness9622 It's just proper English. You can look it up, it's pronounced the same in British English and American English. It's one of those words that if you sound it out, it won't be right, just like salmon. Which sucks, because if you know the word, people sound quite ridiculous.
The devs seem to have made them respawn now.
I like to tap many once then go around a tap more allowing for more harvest of chitin
If you hit the Abyssal Barnacles slowly, 1 hit every 10 or so seconds, you have the chance of mining all of them without the Leviathan sinking. I've been able to do this several times without issue, it doesn't always work though.
we need more videos :(
saw a post today on reddit saying that somebody found a turtle in valheim... kinda bummed to find out it's some mythical sea creature lmao
I dont inderstsnd why you have only 500+ followers when your videos tell everything people are looking for
⭐️ the first serpent I encountered, i sailed to the closest shore (out of fear of being sunk) then I managed to kill it with a finewood bow and gather all of its scales and meat... Make the bastard chase you, he will follow... 🤗
Found 5 of these things all clustered together once. Two of them were literally clipping into each other. All together I got like 5 stacks of Chitin, but I was already in the Silver age so I didn't need the knife, and I didn't really use shields so I didn't need the abyssal harpoon for getting serpent scales. Now I just have a ton of Chitin sitting in a chest...
Make the knife and harpoon for display then! What viking hall is lacks weapons on the walls?
LoL, made the knife while still in the Black Forest. I'm in the Mistlands now. Still using the knife. You can skip all the other knifes. All of them. This one will kill just as fast as higher tier weapons that just over kill with the last hit.
Make the knife. You won't be disappointed.
"Kite-in" is the correct pronunciation of Chitin.
one time when i wnt to the swamp i forgot that i didnt have the material for the portal and then a drauger came and killed me whit all my armor
Can i get the seed? Which u showed 3 togather
I've seen 2 of these things right next to each other
Not sure , but I think I found a way to mine all chitin on leviathan, and no exploits. just go to mine this thing at night. they are less likely to submerge and you gonna be able to mine all chitin
My tips are as follows.
Get the knife.
Get the knife.
Get the knife.
Upgrade the knife.
You won't be disappointed.
btw it is kitin like keyetin
Speaking of the Abyssal Harpoon, I CANNOT seem to find any serpents to harpoon with it. I keep going into the ocean at night but coming up empty handed, is there something im missing? Or the world I'm playing in just not very good at spawning serpents?
Try narrow channels considered ocean instead of large ones. Also mark ones you do find to check in a few days. Rain also has a chance to spawn them. Rain at night is best
Great vid, although chitin is pronounced 'kite-in'
How can I move smaller animals from one place to another?
Me: Use a leash
Valheim: HARPOON TIME BOII!
Personal experience speaking.. careful how close you park to them, they will roll your ship over by accident and it will be destroyed...
I believe its pronounced "Kye-ten)
I didn't know the big guys never came back. I wouldn't have bothered with all this useless chitin I got and just kept the friends
"Kite-'n".
I thought it was pronounced kite-in but if it is what you say it is what it is
The "chi" in chiton, rhymes with sky, so it's pronounced ky-ton. Great guide though!
Kill a mob on the swamp it drops an abyssal harpoon... XD
Make more videos. Cash in on the Xbox release.
Chitin in pronounced, "kite-in".
Harpoon? HAH I am true viking, I hit serpents on the bonce when I want their trophy and scales XD.
For the algorithm
It is pronounced "KI-tin". First syllable has a long 'i' as in 'fly', and is stressed. The second syllable has a short 'i', as in tin, and is unstressed. Sorry. The video is wonderful otherwise; but the numbers of people who mispronounce this name is approaching pandemic levels. Thank you for an otherwise wonderful video.
Ty, damn I should’ve checked! - would have made the recording much easier, I kept accidentally saying sh*tin.. 😅
@@Embr , hehe Totally understand. Producing videos, even short ones for RUclips, is not a task I envy anyone. It can be a thankless job. I'm just a retired old lady who at one time taught English both as a 1st *and* 2nd language (I'm Canadian), and so I have time to be irritated by things like this. I'm very lucky. I enjoy your videos (hence why I subbed) and look forward to more. :) Thank you for even reading my comment! :)
"Chitin" lol
Pronounced chitin wrong. Its kite-in
Imagine getting pickaxe after the first boss = so late L bozo 😴
the wrong pronunciation of chitin tho...
