When I first heard that LBT was gonna do Boondocks, I thought they were gonna cover Billy Joe Royal's song, Down in the boondocks. That would've been good too
I believe this was the first show that Maggie and Sammie did.
Last song of their first ,20 song show, that began with "Suite" (except one encore, ie all the songs they knew at that point.) Tim had worked with the girls for a couple months, Darwin came up and practiced with them 4 times. Then they asked Scott to join on bass and he came for the only rehearsal that they had with everyone present.
I had never seen them perform that song! Nicely done by F&F and great reaction by you.

they all have great voices, but for me, Sammy is the unique one who really stands out, whether she is lead vocal or supporting.
it is always a plus that their live recordings are so well mixed.

I've come to the conclusion that Sammie is the glue that holds it all together. Of course none of this could be done without Tim and the other Fossils and Maggie and Chase often have the best lead parts but Sammie's voice seems to blend perfectly with everyone.
@@rgoers Can't argue against that. Also from all that I've read and heard, she is almost a prodigy in consistently being able to pull it off with apparently little work, never forgets a word, never misses a pitch or timing, picks out/figures out harmony like it's nothing. But when this group puts music together (and video for that matter) it's always better than the sum of the individuals.
If y'all take the highly-recommended time to check out the 4 or 5 YT recordings of the pre-F&F Mustangs' outdoor performance where Sammie filled in for their lead vocalist (at age 14), Tim had given her the music list to learn not long before the event, and apparently she just showed up without group practice and pulled it off with ease and quality.

As others have mentioned this is from their very first show. Suite Judy Blue Eyes was first and this was the last song of the set. As you will recall you commented that Suite Judy Blue Eyes had no drums either. The whole show is available on DVD you get as a top-tier Patreon member. However, they have several other songs from this concert on RUclips including America, Black Water, and Monday Monday. Unbelievably, I still have yet to watch my copy of the DVD.
FYI - Some Patreon members have had access to the next F&F release and it is pretty darn good. I can't say what it is but I can tell you it barely makes it under your 6 minute request tier!
