As usual from you, a top class job, with no stone unturned or corners cut, you really have brought this (getting rarer) MG back from the dead. You will have no problem selling it, if you choose to do so. Well done for all your hard work.
Whoever eventually buys this car won’t believe what superb condition it’s in. It look as if it has been prepped to sit in a museum.
That would be the absolute dream - that one of my cars was to end up in a museum!
I would love to see a cost breakdown when it is sold. You definetly transformed it to something an owner can be proud of.
Becoming one of the best channels on youtube 🤘 keep it up good sir
Agree!
Thank you, this is a really great thing to hear! Thanks for watching!
Fantastic. It just looks superb. This was a really great series. Once again your attention to detail makes all the difference. Thanks.
Thank you for watching!
That looks incredible. I haven't seen one anywhere near that nice in at least a decade. Well done
I’m hoping that this one will remain on the roads as an example of how cool MG used to be!
I would love to own this car!!!
An incredible job done from start to finish. You should be proud of yourself for turning this car into a show piece! I absolutely love it.
Thanks Alex. I’ll admit that I do invest crazy amounts of time into the cars that most would walk away from in the first place, but i genuinely love what I do and keeping an increasingly rare car such as this on the roads and in virtually show condition really gives me a buzz!
These are the details that really matter when properly recommissioning a car - looks stunning! 👍👍
Thank you. I’ve always believed that the smallest of details, although easy to overlook individually, collectively are what make a huge difference to a car!
Great job as usual! Nice to see one of these being saved. It just needs a front lip spoiler putting back on now, to match the side skirts that are fitted.
Fantastic work as always Johnny. It is great to see a beautiful older relic presented so perfectly immaculately. Very high quality. Simple attention to detail really makes a huge difference. Well done, and thank you.
Thank YOU for watching! All the best for 2024 👍
you done a cracking job there johnny! I can't wait till the next project!
The next one is already lined up and waiting and it is going to be spectacular! I can’t wait to show you guys!
@@JohnnyGetsCash I won't be able to sleep now!!! lol
This rover is a future classic and would look great at any car meet.
I genuinely hope that this one graces some shows in the future. What a beautiful example!
Absolutely amazing! True craftmanship! Love these series.
Thank you - the final part of this series will be going live tomorrow!
Hi Johnny , the MG looks mint & i look forward to the finishing vlog once you can get it MOT'ed. Big thanks for all the quality vlogs you've put out this year. I've really found your channel very enjoyable to watch & so informative. The tips, tricks & guides you've shown us this year have certainly given me confidence to start tackling jobs on both my cars & i'm sure i'm not alone in that. I wish you all the best for 2024 & look forward to continued watching of your many projects as the channel grows further. Cheers 👍🏻
Thanks very much Andy, I really appreciate you watching and I’m glad my content has been entertaining and informative for you! Loads more to come soon!
Another great piece of work! Incredible how the right know how can bring an older car back to factory fresh.
This one just wanted to come back I think. I’m stunned by how fresh it is!
Great job again Johnny, love your attention to detail, those new badges certainly made it pop.
Badges are a real treat to fit. Maximum bang for minimum buck!
That is absolutely pukka. Loads and loads of work but what a result, fine job 👍👏👏👏
What a fantastic job you have done with this. I'd love to give it a home! I look forward to following tue next car you bring back to life.
Thank you! I’ve got the next car lined up already and it’s a real diamond in the rough. I know I’ll want to keep that one when it’s finished as well 😂
Great to see a ZS getting some TLC, a handsome looking car even today!
Thanks! It’s certainly got a ‘modern retro’ look all of its own…very early 00’s nostalgia!
It’s been amazing to watch this project. Would be amazing to see you do another MG, ZR perhaps?
Thanks. I’d be interested in a ZT 260 if a suitable candidate came my way!
Very well done. It has become a beautiful car! And..you wont't easily see them in this chic gray version!
It’s certainly turned into one of those stunning examples that I just don’t want to get rid of…but that’s the nature of the business!
@@JohnnyGetsCash of course, there has to be bread on the table!
Car looks unreal. Great job.
Thank you
Fantastic job saved another great classic 👍
She deserved another chance!
What a result that MG looks Mint.
Merry Christmas 🎄 to you and the Family.
Thank you. Merry Christmas and a very happy new year to you and yours as well!
This car looks absolutely amazing well done. I’ve always liked the look of them and I cannot believe you managed to get this for only £200 in the first place. Now after your hard work and attention to detail it looks incredible
Thank you! It’s been yet another case of going the extra mile but that’s just how I do things and if it creates beauties like this…I’ll keep doing it!
Outstanding and a marvellous effort. Hats off!!!
Thank you
Fantastic...Great job again love watching your channel. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
Thanks Karen! Merry Christmas and HNY to you and yours!
Looks amazing, so many cars being scrapped when they can be restored, nice to see you doing painting with an airbrush
My pet hate! Old cars need love too!
Wow 👌 very talented and hard working person you are.
Johnny Gets Cash treated us to some amazing cars going through his workshop with the Chop to the top series. We can’t wait to see the sale of this in 2024 plus all the other cars he can get his hands on. Just goes to show you don’t need to spend a lot of money to have a lovely clean example of a car if you are prepared to put the work in. Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Thank you very much, and thanks for being a regular viewer/ commenter! Loads of exciting stuff yet to come and some really stunning cars on the way!
Amazing job. Will be looking out for this when it comes up for sale.
This one is already reserved , however I do have something very special coming through for the next project which I think will get lots of viewers interested!
Great job as always...... I like how all the smaller touches made it just pop.
Isn’t it always the way? The bits that are easy to overlook end up making the whole piece come together so brilliantly! Thanks for watching!
Really a great job and someone with get a fantastic car
Nice one. Have had many ZS and in fact got to drive one of the prototypes in 2000.
BTW the extra 2 badges go on the C Pillar behind the back door, but only really saw them on the facelift ones.
That’s incredible! How did that come about?
Re the badges, thanks for your insight, this is absolutely news to me although these badges are firmly planted on the wings now so they will certainly be staying there for the foreseeable future!
@@JohnnyGetsCash I thought I replied to this already but can’t see it now.
I was at MGM’2001 (show for the MG Metro, Maestro and Montego) and a friend who worked for MG Rover at the time was allowed to bring it to the show.
There are some pics of it online. It had different wheels and the Rover 45 headlamp washers.
Really loving your ZS. Would make a great addition to my channel 😀
Fantastic video as usual
Thank you
Fantastic job Johnny
Thank you!
Great series on the MG. Your videos are brilliant - top drawer attention to detail. Keep them coming, up there with my favourite RUclips channels 👌
This is great to hear - thank you! Loads more to come!
An absolute beauty. Top work getting it back to former glory. Cars like this need saving! Have a great Christmas!
Thank you - happy Christmas to you too! Old cars need love too!
have a great xmas and new year johnny! see u in 2024!
Thank you!
Really enjoying your channel. Looking forward to what's in store for 2024. Enjoy the festive break. 👍
Thank you, loads more to come in the new year (some very exciting stuff too!) merry Christmas!
What a difference those small touches make to this MG. Excellent job as usual Johnny, and enjoy your Christmas and New Year break. All the best for 2024.
Thanks Ken, the same to you!
Awesome job.
Stunning work mate.
Cheers Dave!
Fantastic result, must be one of the best ones left now 👏
I agree - when did you last see one…let alone one that shines like this?! I really want to keep it 😂
Have absolutely loved watching this MG return to it's former glory! Will you be letting us all know when and where you will be advertising it for sale in the NY, just in case any of your subscribers want to place a bid for it!?!
Have a great Christmas and NY!
Absolutely! At the moment it looks like this one is already going to find a new home with a viewer of the channel but I will of course update in due time!
@JohnnyGetsCash many thanks for letting me know Johnny! I shall have to be quicker off the starting line in future then!! 😄
This car looks mint
Lovely job❤❤❤
Looking lovely👍🏻
This is how things should be done, very-very well done Johnny! Wishing you all a Very Merry Christmas and an exciting successful New Year! 😉🤜🏻💥🤛🏻😎
Merry Christmas and HNY to you and yours!

Johnny
What a beautiful job you have made of this car any one would be proud to own a car you have worked on look forward to next year's cars you but and do up this is a chanel that has class may I wish you a Merry Xmas and a Happg New Year for 2024 😂
Phil in stoke
Thanks Phil! I appreciate everyone who takes the time to watch and engage with my videos!
Stunning Motor 👍
She’s certainly a rare beauty now!
Great job. When you do a final update, could you tell us how many hours you’ve actually spent bringing the car up to this amazing standard?
You guys would probably think I was mad if you knew the time I put into these cars but for me it’s not just about the time (/money)….i genuinely get a buzz from keep genuine, older cars on the road where most would turn their back!
agree on the wiper arms - an older car with faded colors on ANYTHING just screams neglect - even if it is just cosmetic.
Faded arms = what else has been overlooked?!
Hi, I’ve just come across your Channel and I absolutely love what you’re doing. It’s exactly what I’d like to do too but I don’t have any experience yet. Where do you source your vehicles when you do a trade up challenge? Maybe you could make a video about how to get into flipping cars? I know I’d appreciate that. Anyway, keep up the amazing work :)
Thanks! Check out my video titled ‘how I buy cars cheaper than scrap’ for more info on how I source cars 👍
Perhaps didn't need to repaint the wiper blades as there is a product for that? I love the badges!!
The wiper arms are painted form the factory and the paint had broken down and flaked off in multiple places so they did need repainting in order to make them perfect!
Fantastic series on the MG, do you have any idea when you will be selling it as I would be really interested in purchasing it. Where do you normally advertise your cars?
Hi Martyn, generally the cars that I do a full series on such as I’ve done here attract enough interested parties that I don’t have to advertise them. In fact this one has actually already been reserved by a viewer however I will be starting on the next project soon so if you like the look of that when you see it, give me a shout!
Thanks for taking the time to reply, I thought that someone would have already snapped it up, as you made such a lovely job of it. As you said, I look forward to seeing your next project and following its progress. Great job on the smaller, normally missed parts on the MG.
I can't believe you was using a blade to remove those stickers with the heating element right in the way
I knew someone would ask about that. There was absolutely zero pressure applied by the blade (you can see that the lettering flakes off rather than being peeled off). The purpose of the blade was just as a fine edge to get under the already lifted edge of the stickers. The blade doesn’t touch the glass or the element.
I would be proud to drive this little Nugget up to the Monte Carlo Casinos.
She can be seen among Lambos and Bentleys if you ask me.
Would own. Would drive. Officially Jelous.
That’d be a sight to see…but I’m with you! A shining example of the breed!
Where did you get the badges from? Mine all need replacing
This was from a British car parts supplier on eBay. I can’t remember their name but if you search for ‘my zs mk1 enamel badge kit’ that will bring up the set!
Catch you in 2024.
Has the MG been sold already?
It hasn’t sold yet as I still need to finish the interior and get a new MOT put on it, however it is provisionally reserved by a viewer. If anything changes I will put something up publicly so everyone is aware / has a fair chance to buy it 👍
@@JohnnyGetsCash thanks for replying, whoever gets it is lucky after the work you've put into it.
@@paulrosie6244 Thank you. I’ve got the next one lined up and ready to get started on as soon as the MG is finished and on its way to the new owner!
These videos and your approach to your work is just to follow Sir. Amazing, thanks once again for another one for you 🫡
Thank you for watching!
