Yes, thank you. I know it is a cello. I am a cellist. I am referring to the tone of her instrument. Not all instruments are capable of producing such a wonderful tone. Strings, wood, varnish, and weather impact the sound her instrument produces just as well as the acoustics of the room. With that I'll write once more, I love the sound of her instrument. :)
Beautiful dress choice, the color compliments the cello so well. Also you are fortunate to have such a beautiful sounding instrument. Also great use of the full bow!
I've listened to other people doing this song in many ways but the two of you have made this a masterpiece. I found it several years ago and have come back so many times. I hope both of you are still playing beautiful music.
Hi Meghan, First off, this is by far my favorite piece, hands down. Your tone is fantastic! One thing I did notice though is that your quarter slurred to eighth rhythm (just up to the first run) was very marked. Those notes are supposed to be very flowing and free, so don't worry about accenting each beat. I mean, the cello does determine the tempo. From someone exploring the beauty of Elgar's finest work to the next, I hope you don't take this as mean. My comments are solely suggestions. Your tone, however, was just purely amazing! Definitely the right sound for such an emotional piece. Keep up the amazing work!
hah. I really enjoyed it. This concerto is a masterpiece and one of the most important pieces on cello's repertoire. I would like to say that it was so emotionally charged, so when we as listeners can find emotions, then we figure out that we have to do with clear art! The cellist have a great vibrato, witch really help to identify the beauty of cello. I would say that something went rong, in first ever explosion, in first theem. But this is normal. I don't know anything about the cellist, but I enjoyed the first movement of Sir Elgar's cello concerto! Weldon! Good performance!!
I really love this concert and you play the cello very wel! You play it like Jacqueline du Pre. I would like to see (and obviously hear) you playing the other movements of this concert!.
I'd work on getting the correct finger placements on the mixolydian e melodic minor run to the high E in the treble clef section (@2:30) other than that, GORGEOUS
Beautiful Performance! I've never seen one quite elegant in interpretation. If you don't mind me asking, what cello make is that? I don't know why, but it looks like a German Cello I've seen before.
2:12 B was out of tune! But you are an amazing cellist. I am a cellist and know if the struggle !.The Elgar Cello Concerto is one of the greatest pieces in repertoire for cello.I am also picky and have been working on this for a concert.Your time and finesse is just superb and fits the character of the piece "tailor made" Very good.
I would just take a quick look at the notes in the scale at 2:25 because some of the notes sounded like they were major. But overall great performance!
This is quite a nice performance, but there are a few intonation issues with your playing. Not to discourage you, your playing is great, but a few sections could be Musca improved with continued practice of this piece.
Thank you to all for your kind words and tips :) To the slightly discouraged RUclips users who commented, don't give up! You can do it!
As a violinist, I simply cannot ignore this piece. Dammit Elgar, your cello pieces sound so much nicer than the violin pieces
I love the sound of her instrument, oh m gosh so jealous
It's a cello

oh ok sorry i thought you didn't know what instrument it was i misunderstood
Riley Bolt everyone knows it’s a cello 😂😂😂
don't get me wrong the entire song is good, but I can't just get over the first 40 seconds of this song.
you´re wrong, this is not a song but a piece
*classical muscic playing on the backgroud while i drink a glass of wine*
SONG?! u joking
How does pushing the term piece versus song help the narrative or support this wonderful cellist.
@@ziggystardusy19 wow look at the way he is sitting, yes yes very distinguished
SONG?!??!!?!,!!, 😨😨😨
Beautiful dress choice, the color compliments the cello so well. Also you are fortunate to have such a beautiful sounding instrument. Also great use of the full bow!
Your passion and energy fly from the strings of your cello straight to the heart. I got moved. I have to hold back the tears. Thank you.

Bravo! Your staccato and tremolo are clear and precise. Well played, thank you!
Beautiful! I love this stripped version of the concerto, just the cello accompanied by the piano. Thank you for sharing :-)
Wow! I've always wanted to play cello. Someday I will.

ASU has a Music department, you should visit, I think you would be a great example for the students
Wonderful!
Maybe you should more accurately title it Mvt. 1(with a massive cut) - 2. Very well played though.
I only came to listen to the accompaniment.

Hi Meghan! If it's possible, could you play Poulenc's "Sonata for cello and piano - II. Cavatine" I know you'd do it absolute justice. Cheers :)
Brava!!!
This reminds me exactly of Sol Gabetta... It's so beautiful!!!!1
Meravigliosa very very nice

Dios! pero qué obra está tocando? esto qué es?
I can only think on the August Rush movie and Lyla Novacek finding her son 😖😖
I think a part of this master piece was used in gwen's soundtrack in dark souls
❤️
wonderful....wow....just a very few spots slight intonation...
Wow what cello brand is that
How long have you played?
Man, this os strong
Maravilha!!!
3:20
🎶💞🍁
K thats it im gonna buy a Cello
This is better than the yo yo ma recording
Isn’t this only a CmuS piece
15 years? Well thanks for making me feel like untalented rubbish
Guessing she started when she was big enough to sit upright, maybe used a violin for a cello😁
Something inside from agust rush send me here.
This was amazing but it would have been better if you added vibrato in the begging
2:25 ???
asasaadada god me yes
曾經滄海難為水, 除卻巫山不是雲,很抱歉'聽過 Jacqueline Du Pre 的演譯之後' 其他的人所演出的總覺欠了那一点点。
I cried Idk y
This is quite a nice performance, but there are a few intonation issues with your playing. Not to discourage you, your playing is great, but a few sections could be Musca improved with continued practice of this piece.
