I've tried the script, block, EVH, and Wylde phasers and the Wylde phase was the one for me. The little bump it gives the signal comes in handy for lead work which is primary what I use phase effect for anyway.
I've never owned a phaser and I think I prefer the Wylde one to the EVH from this video. If I already had the EVH or the Script i doubt I would double dip and get another phaser, but out of the models here I like the Wylde's character a lot more.
Vastly prefer the script mode EVH. I like it to be a little softer and subtle. I've had a run of bad luck with phasers, I had a Boss phaser (can't remember the exact model) that got burned out by a power surge. Had an MXR script Phase 90 reissue that I managed to mess up attempting to add a Boss style power socket (it only ran on batteries). I've still got a DOD Pahsor 201 that I rarely use, it's from the 80s. Currently running an MXR mini Phase 90, it will do script and block modes, and takes up very little space. Good demo, and great playing like always.

The Evh sounded better in my opinion. The wylde phaser was a bit harsh.
The evh adds 10 db of head room the wylde overmodulates.
The EVH is better, more versatile.👍
