I've had these for weeks now along with a Rotovibe and a CFH Wah and just could not get things to sound right. I was ready to pack them in a case, so if not for this video, I would not have gotten the tone dialed in because I had the Phaser AFTER the Chorus in front of my Marshall DSL40CR. It made all the difference. And it sounds pretty in front of a Blackstar HT Stage 60, or an EVH 5150 III Iconic Combo -- pretty much anything that has some high gain , reverb, and an attenuator to be able to play in a small space like a studio or bedroom. Thanks, Nick and Sweetwater.
Literally just noticed the same I had it at the end of my chain. I'm not sure why I even done it as I know clean signal goes into Phaser, and whas lol. Glad you caught it as well.
@@Ottophil i don’t think him, nor you, nor i, nor the guys that came up with the paint jobs were the first people to have the original idea to change the aesthetics of a pedal 🤔 🤦♂️ that’s called “art” and it’s been around for a very long time.
I have the OG berzerker overdrive that I still use to push the front end of my amp! Sounds killer for modern metal! Tone and Volume at max, gain all the way off or barely on. Tightens up the sound so much and sounds killer even with extended range stuff (use a baritone 7-string through it)
Personally don’t like demos with active pickups for the sake of judging tone (specifically for evaluating the treble content) but I’m sure some really do bc they use them. I love the idea of having a phase 90 with that paint job. Not even a Wylde fan. It’s just a killer design and fits with the swirly sound!
wow how sad sweet water can not even take the time to demo a stereo chorus pedal which is what zakk is famous for in stereo. Why would you be so lazy in demo in mono? that is sad. I thought sweet water could do better for Zakk than that. he has busted his ass made some kick ass music for 35 years and that is the best you can do???
Because, sometimes it puts you back to the late 80s and it comes with a lot of good memories and good friends that didn't make it. Just my opinion on that
Unlike a typical traditional overdrive pedal, this version of the Wylde OD is weak! Set at its lowest level of drive there’s nothing happening compared to a TS9, Maxon od808 even the Boss OD. You have to at least crank the drive to 10 o’clock to get some response from this pedal. Frankly, this OD is a cash grab. If you want tight, nothing here.
I KIND of Liked Nick's guitar sound when the pedals were turned off!!!!😊 Just turn the amp LOUDER!!!! I prefer the guitar plugged straight into the amp (NO Effects)!!!! AC/DC style!!!! If I did have effects in my sound it would be chorus/delay and wah wah!!!! And some extreme flanger effects!!!!!!
@clanrobertson1 I like to watch Nick play guitar!!!! 😃 😊 😀 I find him entertaining!!! He used to play in a band "GRIM REAPER" in the early 80s!!!! The reason why I stopped using my guitar effect pedals!!!! People (Negative Nay sayers! Probably jealous musicians! Who knows?) were criticizing me that I "rely on too many effects to get my tone"!!!! So I was like, " Alright, I will show you guys what tone is ALL ABOUT!!!! So, I stopped using the pedals on purpose!!!! My sound improved!!! I think it did!!!! Well it doesn't matter!!!! I think I sound good!!!! Plus, I got tired of keeping up with the trends on the latest gear!!!! Axe FX and Kemper!!! All this new amp modeling stuff!!!! Boss and Digitech has so much stuff now I can't keep track!!!! And then you have all the boutique guitar pedal brands!!!! 😃 😊 You have a wonderful day!!! Take it easy!!!! 👍

I bought the Chorus... Beautiful sounding and the paint job feels like a sportscar.... 🤘
So….. regular MXR pedals, with new paint jobs and different style knobs? Hmm. I’ll keep the pedals I have.
Yup pretty much the same as the evh pedals but don't have extra options and still cost more than your standard mxr pedals another lazy cash grab
@@wesmitchem825lazy? You’re jealous you didnt think of it lol

If you have a fx loop, definitely run the chorus in that. It thickens it up nicely and is part of the ZW signature tone

Anyone remember “Pride and Glory”?🤠
what fate awaits the machine gun man??
Fantastic project
Love pride and glory
Nick that was a GREAT DEMO!!! I need these pedals in my rig. Nick TY for explaining Zakk's Pedal order. That info is very helpful.
woohoo love getting to hear nick riff out
Awesome demo
Cool video ,rocking pedals Thanks Nick u old fox😂👋🤘🎸🍻
I wish they had Wylde Audio brand guitars. They sell Schecters, which are the brand behind making those guitars.
Schecter guitars are amazing
Nice job brother may I ask what the settings are on the amp?
Thank you SW / NB! Does anyone know if the Wylde OD is a Boss OD-1 "clone" without the noise floor? Just curious - cheers!
back in the day when it was 1st released, i purchased it because people said it was OD-1 with extra push too beside quiet OD
its an sd-1 clone, the mxr gt-od is their sd-1 clone, so it’s at least believed to be a gt-od with different paint.

im a simple man. i see a nick bowcott demo, i click
That Wylde overdrive if it is the same circuit as the old one is a very expensive mxr classic od. It is almost 3x the cost.
But is preeeetty
so sad i sold White Zakk's OD back in 10'ish years ago
and i'm shock this one already more than 10 years++
OMG that made me laugh out loud 15:05
I think something is wrong with the audio. Phase? Mic positions?
Yeah…unfortunately it’s the pedals
When grandpa grabs the guitar

STOP USING AIR QUOTES
Absolutely...."NOT!!" Sorry, couldn't resist, LOL! Have a great day and weekend....
I dont understand why everyone wants someone elses sound
