  • The latest and greatest from the Volvo engine world, the Green house gas 2017 D11 and D13 engines. What changed, why it’s better, and how will it change my driving experience.
    Gregg from RVHaulers and Jonathan Nosbush from JonnyVolvo.ca share some of the unique options that are considered when factory ordering a new Volvo heavy truck. When we order a Volvo heavy truck designed for towing our relatively light-weight recreational RV 5th wheels, we can tailor the rig to our own needs.
    If you are considering a new Volvo as your RVHauler candidate truck, both Gregg and Jonathan welcome your calls and questions!

    I'm watching this video and I realized its five years old... to me this is still a very informative video... just think of the even better improvements that Volvo has come up with now in 2022! Fantastic Video!

    I'm a hot shot operater not an RV. Replaced a Ford 6.7 for a single axle Volvo 11L I shift..so far I'm loving the power & double the fuel mileage. Plus a full size sleeper, no more motels.

      D11 is a great choice for 60,000lbs and under, it'll give Max fuel economy just a little anemic on power

    I hope some day they will remove the DEF system !!! D12 was the best engine ever but if I need to choose someday between D11 or D13 I will go with D11 for better fuel efficiency since I am not a power guy :) Anybody know here what will be the difference in MPG between D11 and D13 in number please or percentage ? Thank you

      wow you really like the d12? i just got a new 08 465 last year and no def . why you say it the best just curious?

    • @100pyatt
      @100pyatt 5 лет назад +1

      Without DEF you will suffer slower engine timing to control NoX because it cannot be scrubbed by the DEF. Lower MPG and decreased reliability from the higher amount of EGR needed without the DEF 👎

    • @rvhaulers
      @rvhaulers  7 лет назад +1

      Hello Dominick. The D12 is no longer available.

      I know it is not available anymore Gregg, we talked about that when I purchased Fisher from you... I was referring to HP & torque output in comparison to the new D11 & D13.

    I have d13. But for the past two years all I heard about is d13tc. Yet I haven't seen this motor in past two years. So what's up with that motor. Volvo hyped that motor up just to be a no show when it suppose be out already and available. But here are in 2020 and still a no show.
