Blizzard won the right to scan all the running processes on your computer, in case, you are doing/using something they don't like. Your privacy is directly at odds with their corporate needs. Who owns Blizzard? How many other games do they develop? Legal precedent means any game dev can scan your running processes. Anyone use Steam?...
You dont think is kinda sad that blizzard had to sue honorbuddy to be able to stop them i see it as a weakness
Blizzard stopped them long before the judgement by spying on users. Honorbuddy was already pretty much dead because it was completely detectable.
@@Jeremiah6071 never got banned, only times i have been banned is for threatening the GM's since they couldnt refund the abomination called BFA and when i had a char that was named worgen backwards, the threat ban was 6 months.

So basically, it says that you won't be able to use the HonorBuddy bot to play your game for you anymore. You will have to play it yourself, how you used to in the first place. I never got the purpose of these bot programs, why would you spend money on a program that plays the game instead of you - something you should be doing yourself ? In my opinion this is stupid, and it is good that HonorBuddy got smacked down.
Good question, they did mention that there tailored audience was to the casual player who didn't have time to play but would to progress like a heavy player. Yeah, HonorBuddy is officially gone. We won't see a botmaker ever go through the legal process like HonorBuddy went through again in the future. It is just one for the history books. It was a very epic battle to follow because BossLand (Honor Buddy's creator) went through the process for 6 years. He was pretty brave to take it all on, that's what I find interesting.

Exactly why I liked honorbuddy haha. Only used it to level.
I believe most players did use it for farm and sell gold or character services. When the big wave it feeled like a ghost town on some realms.
The purpose is greed and distain for fair play meritocratic system

botters littarly took over classic wow today and blizzard does not care at all anymore since shadowlands is coming... see video of asmongold:

after they smashed honorbuddy they introduced buy a lvl 100 toon for 60euro... before that the honorbuddy did that for you lvling 1-100 doing all the quests for you. this was nothing less than an obstacle for blizzard's merchandise. I dont think they cared much about BGs or farming.

i so much miss botting on my resto druid in wow, damn the tuanha combat routine was the best. i had several top 10 ranks in mythic raids in WOD and legion. i was the best and now they ruined it blizzard the game is not fun without the bot. i think blizzard lost so much money on raiders in wow who used to bot like me.
but again now there is time for some other games

I used demonbuddy a couple years ago. I wanted to progress further but I needed gear which wasn't dropping. I got bored of running the same runs over and over again. So I used it and then quit playing a few weeks later. it was kind of a last ditch effort to keep playing D3.
