Thank you the advise because I owed money and I went to Get My Payment!!!! It did take 5 min to login but when I did I entered my information and yes, it did ask me to enter my banking information for direct deposit but for my 2019!!!! I will tell you I made $6K more than in 2018 since filing jointly made more than $150K. In doing the math and penalized over 5% for every $100, my wife and I will only get $1181.00 together. This is bullshit for working a little more which was not hitting $200K but they just took away one of us!!!! Stimulus my ass as I owe more than this $2400 this year!!!! So much for working hard while still getting ripped off by this Government!!!! Otherwise thank you for all your great help and advice which did work!!!
My bank account was -$2,500 the last 3 months while my other account was fine. My coronavirus money was put into the negative bank account and the bank said I'm SOL. Now im gonna be homeless...

I'm in a situation that is never talked about it would probably be helpful to give out some information on. I filed my 19 taxes and didn't owe or receive a refund. In my situation I was not required or able to put my banking information in. I filed on the 3rd of April and and my tax return has not been approved by the IRS yet. I do believe once the IRS has approved my taxes I will be able to put my direct deposit information in for my stimulus. (God willing). If anything changes I'll let you know so you can pass it on. Thank you brother for the work you're doing!
The IRS site has a section where you can put your bank deposit info in today. You might want to do that ASAP even if you are not entitled to a tax return refund.

Hi Thanks for your detailed info. Unfortunately, I have not received my stimulus because it was sent to Metabank. My tax preparer says Metabank is not accepting these stimulus checks because there not getting paid to disburse them out to customers. If you you have any info on this, can you pls address it. Thx

I need help. I stop working in June 2018, I cashed a 401K and my income was over $99K. However only made $20K in 2019. The IRS has processed my return and used my $900 refund towards an old tax debt in 2017. But my Senator and other internet resources said the IRS can NOT use my stimulus for older tax debts. My wife also owes back taxes but she got her stimulus. We filed married separately. I double checked my banking info, it’s correct. So is it a glitch? Using 2018 and ASSUMING I’d be over in 2019? I fear that some of us will be waiting for a LONG time. Good thing I’m still working and not broke. But it sucks. I’m eligible, and Get My Payment status is not available. I usually pay taxes at tax time, so they don’t use your bank info for direct deposit 🤬
I agree, i am working as well and am not broke, but i too think some of may not receive a payment until August time frame or maybe never, i saw one congress member said that he is expecting that up to 40% of eligible people will not receive their payments and then the government will suspended the program to investigate and then cancel it all together, with some flimsy apology for those of us who did not receive it and then try to make it right, by giving you a tax deduction for the amount you would have received.
There are a few reasons you may be getting this status. One issue is that the information your entering may not exactly match your most recently filed tax return (usually address abbreviation issue). I just posted a detail video on this topic on my channel. Hope it can help you
I had my account locked for 24 hours yesterday and it’s been more then 24 hours and it says “please try again later” the same message I got when I got locked out for security reasons. Anyone else have this problem????

Thanks for your professional and thorough video updates. HOW I WILL SPEND THE MONEY. This will be for the EDD as well as the stimulus check (when it arrives) My rent is already set aside for May 1 so the rest of my bills come to about $700. So the first EDD totalled with my current EDD will be x two = $1600 plus stimulus $1200 = $2800. The old rule is about 30-30-30. So I will use $700 towards bills, I will save $1100 (over 30%) savings and IRA, and then the balance for discretionary like vitamins, entertainment, and auto repairs. And then onto the next round of "government assistance"!

Rose, I was told that they can't deposit into my account with the info they have so I went to the IRS site and filled out the thing and it only took a couple minutes. Really easy. Good luck!

I owed just $25 to federal I put in all my info back in January to pay. I didn't get my check yesterday so I checked the website. Put in my info and it said I qualify for the stimulus they just need my direct deposit info.. so who knows what's true anymore lol

We had H&R block do ours for 2018.. have not filed last year, 2019 yet. We had to pay in on taxes in 2018 not sure how it was paid, but not from our bank account to my knowledge. My wife lived in Texas and I lived in NY as part time residence.. she also has a different last name as me so I'm hoping all that crap isn't what's causing the unable to verify eligibility status for us.. ugh what a mess.
It wont let me check my status because my returns havent been accepted by the irs yet. But when i filed for my taxes april 1st it was accepted that same day/week.
Your return probably has not been processed yet. The notice of accepted comes from the computer to show that social security number (s) are correct and have not filed yet or you would get a rejected message. So hopefully they will get your return processed within 21 days of your filing.
We mailed our paper tax return early March. I did see they are no longer processing paper returns until further notice. We haven’t received our stimulus payment either. Any suggestions? Thank you

From the IRS website, “If the bank account is closed, the bank will reject the deposit and you will be issued your payment to the address we have on file for you.”
The VA has charged me almost $1000 for prescriptions, surgical procedures and doctor visits. FOR 2018! They say I made $14 more than my limit. I receive $1354 SS per month! It was even less in 2018, like $1235. They never sent me a bill or statement! Now they claim it's 180 days past due and have sent it to treasury for collection! So can I expect the gov. to deduct this amount from the stimulus?

I paper filed for 2016, 17; 18; and 2019 and sent all together on 3/6/2020.... I received my state tax refunds about 10 days later straight to my bank account. I get refunds on each of these years, when can I expect the federal refunds which are directly tied to this stimulus. No one has been available in Jefferson City Missouri
I filed in 2018. Since then bank acct has changed. I could not change the info online so I basically have to wait until the old bank rejects it and then it will be mailed. I wish they would have had a site to update info before sending out money. Very frustrating!
Sir, my payment hasn’t been sent. I use h+r block and there emereld card for the direct deposit of my tax refund for the last ten years, so what else do I need to do. Block is no help, u can’t get through to them at all.
I was told by an H&R employee that stimulus payments cannot be put on the prepaid cards give by H&R Block. You will need to update your address on their website to receive a paper check or add bank account information to get a direct deposit.
I've filed 2018 and 2019 taxes and still no stimulus check. I definately qualify. I got my refund direct deposit both years. When I go on the IRS tool online it says my payment information is unavailable at this time. And there's no way to call!

You need to check IRS.gov and the get my payment button will allow you to put in information for your dd info. If they already have it they will say it after you submit your info.
Same situation I used HR Block visa emerald card- nothing yet. Yesterday I didn’t know if it would go to emerald card so I went to IRS site to change it from them to my own bank it said information does not match our records. And now it won’t let me back in to use the emerald card routing/account number instead! 😤. On hr site they said SOME people will receive it on their cards. Confused on what to do....
@@mysticnj I would try the local office for help. I'd also try putting my info again on IRS.gov on the get my payment portal if you haven't been locked out. If so do so again in 24 hours.

But I just figured it out i need to put in just my fed tax refund money amount I was putting in both fed and state, put in emerald card routing/ number as checking. I was able to use the portal to confirm I am eligible for the stimulus check, but I was unable to enter my bank information. My adjustable gross income was a negative amount, but the field where you enter AGI only accepts amounts zero and higher. I tried both using a zero, and the actual number as an integer without the minus sign--neither way worked. Also, I neither owed money or expect a refund, so neither radio button offered--you have to select either "I owe money" or "I expect a refund"--works. Any suggestions on a work-around?

I filled mu 2018 taxes and chose to use the Turbo Card to receive my tax refund, unfortunately I didn't get the stimulus to the Turbo Card, when I signed in to the "Where's my stimulus tool" It requested name, address, zip, gross income and refund amount, once that was that was in, it stated there was no direct deposit information and it then allowed my to input the correct information, I am now waiting for the next direct deposit from the IRS.

I did the, non filers, form Sunday and was accepted by the irs. For all the good it did. No check Wednesday, no check Thursday and nothing today, Fri. And what u said about the availability is still on the site today, Friday. So site is useless as of Wednesday. So from what I read, the only people that got checks direct deposit, where people that filed taxes regularly and had direct deposit info already in the system. In other words, last minute form people were ignored. Cause they weren't easy. What sucks is, seems after Wednesday, they sat back and took a break. Least from what I saw. We hear 15 different excuses,, but excuses don't buy groceries or pay bills. Stay home, they say. We'll be there for you. Yeah right. They were there in January when this started. Saying,,, NO PROBLEM,, EVERYTHING S FINE. Even in February,,, WE'RE DOING A GREAT JOB,,, NO PROBLEM. March, well,,, we're thinking this may be a little more than we thought,, BUT WE'RE DOING A GREAT JOB! Now mid April and millions are out of work, out of money,,, but they're doing a great job. I need help. I stop working in June 2018, I cashed a 401K and my income was over $99K. However only made $20K in 2019. The IRS has processed my return and used my $900 refund towards an old tax debt in 2017. But my Senator and other internet resources said the IRS can NOT use my stimulus for older tax debts. My wife also owes back taxes but she got her stimulus. We filed married separately. I double checked my banking info, it’s correct. So is it a glitch? Using 2018 and ASSUMING I’d be over in 2019? I really need the $$. Can you help? Nobody answers at the IRS. Thank you

I agree, i am working as well and am not broke, but i too think some of may not receive a payment until August time frame or maybe never, i saw one congress member said that he is expecting that up to 40% of eligible people will not receive their payments and then the government will suspended the program to investigate and then cancel it all together, with some flimsy apology for those of us who did not receive it and then try to make it right, by giving you a tax deduction for the amount you would have received.

There are a few reasons you may be getting this status. One issue is that the information your entering may not exactly match your most recently filed tax return (usually address abbreviation issue). I just posted a detail video on this topic on my channel. Hope it can help you

Thanks for your professional and thorough video updates. HOW I WILL SPEND THE MONEY. This will be for the EDD as well as the stimulus check (when it arrives) My rent is already set aside for May 1 so the rest of my bills come to about $700. So the first EDD totalled with my current EDD will be x two = $1600 plus stimulus $1200 = $2800. The old rule is about 30-30-30. So I will use $700 towards bills, I will save $1100 (over 30%) savings and IRA, and then the balance for discretionary like vitamins, entertainment, and auto repairs. And then onto the next round of "government assistance"!

I owed just $25 to federal I put in all my info back in January to pay. I didn't get my check yesterday so I checked the website. Put in my info and it said I qualify for the stimulus they just need my direct deposit info.. so who knows what's true anymore lol
That is not true for most people. Plus it is better to be safe and check to see if they have your bank info anyway

We had H&R block do ours for 2018.. have not filed last year, 2019 yet. We had to pay in on taxes in 2018 not sure how it was paid, but not from our bank account to my knowledge. My wife lived in Texas and I lived in NY as part time residence.. she also has a different last name as me so I'm hoping all that crap isn't what's causing the unable to verify eligibility status for us.. ugh what a mess.

It wont let me check my status because my returns havent been accepted by the irs yet. But when i filed for my taxes april 1st it was accepted that same day/week.
Your return probably has not been processed yet. The notice of accepted comes from the computer to show that social security number (s) are correct and have not filed yet or you would get a rejected message. So hopefully they will get your return processed within 21 days of your filing.
We mailed our paper tax return early March. I did see they are no longer processing paper returns until further notice. We haven’t received our stimulus payment either. Any suggestions? Thank you

The VA has charged me almost $1000 for prescriptions, surgical procedures and doctor visits. FOR 2018! They say I made $14 more than my limit. I receive $1354 SS per month! It was even less in 2018, like $1235. They never sent me a bill or statement! Now they claim it's 180 days past due and have sent it to treasury for collection! So can I expect the gov. to deduct this amount from the stimulus?

I paper filed for 2016, 17; 18; and 2019 and sent all together on 3/6/2020.... I received my state tax refunds about 10 days later straight to my bank account. I get refunds on each of these years, when can I expect the federal refunds which are directly tied to this stimulus. No one has been available in Jefferson City Missouri
The stimulus check is different from federal refunds. If you have not gotten your stimulus check yet, they are sending second wave of checks next week
I filed in 2018. Since then bank acct has changed. I could not change the info online so I basically have to wait until the old bank rejects it and then it will be mailed. I wish they would have had a site to update info before sending out money. Very frustrating!

Sir, my payment hasn’t been sent. I use h+r block and there emereld card for the direct deposit of my tax refund for the last ten years, so what else do I need to do. Block is no help, u can’t get through to them at all.
I was told by an H&R employee that stimulus payments cannot be put on the prepaid cards give by H&R Block. You will need to update your address on their website to receive a paper check or add bank account information to get a direct deposit.

You need to check IRS.gov and the get my payment button will allow you to put in information for your dd info. If they already have it they will say it after you submit your info.
Same situation I used HR Block visa emerald card- nothing yet. Yesterday I didn’t know if it would go to emerald card so I went to IRS site to change it from them to my own bank it said information does not match our records. And now it won’t let me back in to use the emerald card routing/account number instead! 😤. On hr site they said SOME people will receive it on their cards. Confused on what to do....

But I just figured it out i need to put in just my fed tax refund money amount I was putting in both fed and state, put in emerald card routing/ number as checking. I was trying to put in my own banking info/numbers and it’s a savings. With these corrections it finally said $$ will be deposited into my emerald card account but didn’t say when!

I was able to use the portal to confirm I am eligible for the stimulus check, but I was unable to enter my bank information. My adjustable gross income was a negative amount, but the field where you enter AGI only accepts amounts zero and higher. I tried both using a zero, and the actual number as an integer without the minus sign--neither way worked. Also, I neither owed money or expect a refund, so neither radio button offered--you have to select either "I owe money" or "I expect a refund"--works. Any suggestions on a work-around?

I filled mu 2018 taxes and chose to use the Turbo Card to receive my tax refund, unfortunately I didn't get the stimulus to the Turbo Card, when I signed in to the "Where's my stimulus tool" It requested name, address, zip, gross income and refund amount, once that was that was in, it stated there was no direct deposit information and it then allowed my to input the correct information, I am now waiting for the next direct deposit from the IRS.

We went online to apply for a check and had a H&R Block card that our Income Tax came on and it would not let us file under the IRS application it wouldn't let us do it what is going on we wanted to give them our information and our bank account information and it wouldn't allow us to do it will you please tell me what's going on and what we can do to give them our banking account because we got our income tax on an H&R Block card instead of going to direct deposit
I did the, non filers, form Sunday and was accepted by the irs. For all the good it did. No check Wednesday, no check Thursday and nothing today, Fri.
And what u said about the availability is still on the site today, Friday. So site is useless as of Wednesday. So from what I read, the only people that got checks direct deposit, where people that filed taxes regularly and had direct deposit info already in the system. In other words, last minute form people were ignored. Cause they weren't easy. What sucks is, seems after Wednesday, they sat back and took a break. Least from what I saw.
