Brilliant! I had been struggling to install a Samsung SSD in my new MPC KEY 61 - no sign of recognition on the MPC, nor two different PCs. Now all working well so many thanks. Much appreciated you troubling to make a video of this.
You pronounce Akai like Uhh-kie....like ”uhh” don't know...and like pie with a k. It sounds like a cheap furniture store your way lol. I'm just looking out people will have jokes. You probably figured that out already. Yep so since the MPC X is based from Linux it uses the exFat format. The way you did it is the recommended way to do it for larger drives. You can format from the MPC after you've done it that way first by going to browse>places>selecting the drive and holding shift.. format should show on the screen.
I can successfully get them on my SD card to run on my MPC Live 2 but when I try to export them to the ssd installed on my MPC Live 2 it trys and then fails. I've tried 2 different ssds. Why is that? Also the SSD seems to transfer and load a lot slower than the SD card. I know the SSD is installed correctly cuz I can use it but just not to properly store the expansions . It is formatted exFat. Any suggestions?
Out of 10 videos I watched this was the most helpful thanks G 🎧🔥
