These still are so enjoyable to see around town. It just kills me that you need to invest that much money to get 450 at the wheels. I am excited to see the new type r once it’s finally unwrapped
@@henris8367 yes and no. are you talking about the S54B32? It can take it, but the engine life will be reduced, and is it driveable? Dyno isn't everything. I rather have good power down low for quick acceleration and less power at the top. I once rode a 300whp Fiesta ST, that was slower in acceleration 1.9k to 3k rpm, in third gear than my stock ST.
Its the Kseries engine that started to be able to take good power without building the engine, but ofc depending on the numbers you are after, you will have to build any engine

I'd recommend having the owner drive it though just cause there is a very high skill floor when it comes to handling one, owner themselves would be the most efficient driver for it. I'm talking rear drive 2500hp turbo vipers on slicks. That'd be a sick review
You're totally right, Off the line it can feel sluggish at times. Honda tuned the FK8 to be way less aggressive in 1st and 2nd. Most tuners will keep it that way unless specifically asked to change it. For the Synchros sake, I left mine tame for those 2 gears. There really no need for me personally

@@tavo.simracing Its still not a good habit to let off the throttle mid corner, you should break enough entering a corner that you can do the entire corner while staying on the throttle, so the weight of the car is shifter backwards
@@NjoyMoney yes you’re correct and do have a point and that is still a very good habit to have, but these modern TC systems make it so you could be a total idiot and still not be in much danger.
I get to drive them all since I'm a Honda tech, and I will say, the Fk7 isn't even in the same realm as the FK8. The handling is absolutely ridiculous.

That’s awesome power for a stock block my speed can only really get to 400whp I’m sure it bends rods tho cuz usually our cars puts down a lot more torque then hp. I really overlook these just cuz I don’t want to spend that much cash and still be fail wheel drive
At 5:40 you say it seems like the car gains a lot of power in 3 amd 4 gear, its propably the case actualy, 1 and 2 might be downtuned to prevent it from spinning to much on launches
