It’ll still be a reliable accord don’t get me wrong but it will need maintenance a bit more often than an oem car, but if you dont even know what a turbo upgrade & tune does then leave it stock & do homework first
@@iiAzT3Cii so it will need maintenance on a Civic Type R schedule.
Just bought a basically identically spec'd car except manual, and white. Pulled 40.0 mpg on a 120 mile section of highway cruising at 5 over. Easily pulls mid 30's driving a little more aggressively on the highway. Still gets a solid 22 mpg around town with lots of stoplights and neighborhood roads. Needless to say I've found my perfect DD for the next decade. This video is the main reason i convinced myself it was worth the 10 hour drive to go buy the car. Thanks!
Really dig the title. I don’t think that I could explain it better than “The Gentlemen’s Type R”. Sick video.
I got one of these bad boys. 2019 accord 2.0t sport in manual. Absolutely love it (and its stock) got my winters on it rn cant wait to get my summer tires on in around april/may and start to do some work to my baby.
Not near as quick... But my 6th gen Accord can carve the backstreets with the best of them. People have been sleeping on Accords for a long time.
I feel these high tier family sedans have been slept on by most for awhile... Even the normal V6 options American automakers have put out will punch above their weight with a little love. Cars just have more potential now days, the line between a commuter and sports car aren't really defined by engineering limitations anymore lol
Yup I have 2 6th gens one 2.4 and one v6.
7th*
I absolutely love my 6th gens I have a 2.3 and a 3.0
bro accords are not slept on lol. You can ask a 7 year old what an accord is and they will know it’s a Honda. It’s like the 3rd best selling sedan in America 😂
Bought my 2.0T 3 weeks ago and I love it. This car is a MAJOR sleeper
I have a stage 3 2.0t accord. I absolutely love it. 100% a sleeper and surprises a lot of people. I know guys over 500hp on theirs. Shits crazy
Auto transmission? Did you need to do anything to beef it up or are you just running the transmission like it was from the factory?
@@Only1Sethy my car is 100% stock. Just slapped on the ktuner

I got 19 Accord with manual transmission. I hope to see this Accord on the road, I am in Dacula, GA :))
Never expected you to review one of these thank you for reviewing literally anything that can be fast!
This would be an amazing daily. I test drove one at an auto show a few years ago and was super impressed on how smooth it was. I just don’t know that I want to give in and get a dad mobile yet. I would definitely need a project car or something more dynamic on the side.
Accords are so clean man. This is a dream like build for me. Subtle but very, very stout.
I have the 2.0T 6MT, I put in LSD from Type R, Acuity Stage 2 shifter upgrades, Eibach bars front and rear, Borla exhaust, KN intake, it shifts like S2000 and handles like it's on rails.
4th, 5th, 6th gen accords came with a the f22 and f23 which was a single cam 2.2l/2.3l respectively. And boosting them yielded the same outcome almost identical hp to tq numbers.
Stock they do that too. My 4th and 5th Gen are both EXs and both have equal tq and hp. 140hp/140tq and 150hp/150tq
@@SimbaTheGreat this is true as well I just mentioned being boosted because this accord is turbo’d.
But those are the same as the tl’s but I can never manage to find any info on how to turbo them
@@doughboyjoe6518 the TL uses a J series. Iirc J32 for the last gen.
I just bought the 22 sport Accord 2.0 T. And I bought it exactly for that reason of commuting to work! I would live to tune it like this amd have that extra power!
Wow, a Honda Accord I would actually like to own or see on the road. All the Hondas I see on the road are either stock or are just riced.
Those tend to be civics tho lol
If your in Texas it’s riced out but making 700hp. At least the civics
@@Porsche4life damn lol. Here in the east coast its a lot of stock civics with aero or type Rs with only an aftermarket exhaust and marketing all over the front windshield
@@estetico9282 haha I’ve seen that. I used to live near Atlanta and it’s always vivid with huge Honda stickers on the front windshield and 5inch exhaust tips. Don’t get me wrong I’m sure there’s some clean civics on the way coast but damn 🥲
Riced? As opposed to what? I hate that expression. Anyway, the Accords have always been nice and hopefully they bring bag the all wheel drive platform and complete the cycle.
The Accord 2.0 is a certified sleeper
The roof rack really goes crazy I love it I usually hate them but it fits this car
Proof any car can be made into a beast. I’m an Audi enthusiast but this Accord is sick. Props to the owner.
I definitely have zero regrets about buying this car 🤙🏾🌹
I was waiting for this video for so long now 🙏🏽🙏🏽
I knew that this Accord shared an engine with the type R. But i did not expect anyone to do anything about it 😂
Plenty of people have search worlds fastest 10th gen accord on RUclips and you'll get plenty results.
We are out here bud! Some of us just have an IG. No yt channel
I've had every gen till 03 ;) they are a small cult.
You didnt expect anyone to modify a factory turbo honda. Right. Jesus what's wrong with you goons. Clearly not car people. Accord always has a tuner following. Always.

That is a handsome Accord. Thing looks and sounds dope. Proper stance, not too low. Well done man.
Derek Robison is a tuning legend
He’s been killing it on the 10th gen Honda platforms.
Dude I have been waiting for an accord video! Thank you so much 🙏
Keeping the car quiet is the best move for the 2.0 accords. Aftermarket exhausts just don’t sound good
True but there one exhaust company I think sound way better for the car.
@@vce.john1734 what company is that?
@@aystvn dc sport it sound nice no raspy.
This is awesome.. Owner is humble, car is sick, interview is great..
Was considering a type r and bought the accord sport 2.0t. So much more enjoyable to have the space and comfort for daily. It dips and if it ever needs more, there are parts and tunes available.
I did the same thing that you did. Great economy and effortless acceleration on tap with my Accord Sport 2.0t.
I love my accord!! Proud owner and love to see the faces of the v8s when they see a four door Honda Accord keepin up. Best feeling. 😂😂😂
Crazy how more aggressive it looks just dropped, awesome build
this really makes me want to get the accord for my next Car. everything looks and sounds great. I might not go for that aggressive of exhaust but dang... those are great stats!!
Man I wish stuff like this existed for my 9th gen. As awesome as this build is I don't think I could give up the V6 sound.
After test driving a 2021 Accord hybrid, I'm having a tough time picturing myself giving up my 2016 Accord V6.. I'd legit have to drive different and do things like plan out my highway overtaking because the hybrid doest have access to the torque that the V6 does. And I do 20k/yr on the highway so.. the V6 (with VCM) does ok at 34mpg.
I wouldn't trade up the V6 for it.
What mods do you suggest for a '16 V6 automatic? The automatic was hard to find and the manual was near impossible when I got it a couple years ago. I was hooked on the first test drive.
@@InvictusRed1911 Can't really compare the 10th gen hybrid with the V6... a better comparison is V6 vs 2.0T

Coolest dude I have seen while you drive his car others have been tense or there eyes focused on the Rpm's or looking around nervously from a 2021 STI owner great job with the car .
I've got a stg1 b8s4 and a heavily modded 10th gen did much better from a roll against me than I thought. Very impressive, as I walked a 392 harder.
Makes me miss my accord! Traded it for a Mustang but the accord is such a killer daily!
Currently what I’m trying to build. Type r turbo going in next year but even on stock turbo they’re a blast
Funny enough I saw this video and discovered the 2.0t. Now about a year later I am a proud owner of a 2.0t accord. Thanks for letting me in on this great little secret of a car!
My wife picked up one of these with the 2.0 turbo last year....hmm maybe I need to do a little work on it lol
I can honestly say these cars are definitely a sleeper! It has just the right amount of everything and they look great coming off the lot! And they are super fun to mod and add parts to! Once I’m done modding mines I’ll do just one video showing everything I have and how amazing it looks at night and I can guarantee that more people will get these! I have the touring trim and this thing is loaded! The best car I’ve ever purchased or had! I just love driving I just go ride just to ride!
These new Honda Accord’s are gorgeous. That 2.0 killed my FX35 I was really impressed
they are pretty close to my M45X ngl
That thing is just too nice. So incredibly clean.
Since I've owned my 370whp msp 3 the Only stock car I have been wanting to race is the Accord sport 2.0 T lol. They are Sleepers for sure. This setup is surprising.
Lmao bro....your at 370whp.....you would walk that shit out of a stock one man.your cars on to high of a level to race almost anything stock

I'm in the market for an accord 2.0T tbh and now this is a huge reason why I want it now
Check out prl and according to Joel on RUclips
What suspension/wheel size offset etc is it? Looks amazing. Also what body kit? I have a 2.0 accord and love it so much. Came from two civic si’s and a prior gen accord sport na engine. This new 2.0 is such a huge step forward. I planned to tune mine but haven’t even bothered bc it’s plenty fast for me stock. Not winning street races but plenty of power.
Check the fitment industries gallery some ppl have their X gen accord specs listed
Kits are limited, but if you look for a jdm front splitter it should be same as his. Also his side splitters and rear diffuser look custom made out of abs.
that thing gets 30 miles even after all that modding? that shit is GREAT dude. My 2014 stock accord barely gets 35-40 miles
This car is such a dubber, from the low down torquey turbo power, to the roof rack up top.
I work at one of the Honda manufactures and we build engines at our plant but I've always been told Honda engines are basically tuned at 50 or 60 % so I'm not surprised that its a whole lot more on the bones with these
I have a 2008 TL right now, hoping a 18-21 Accord 2.0L will be my next daily in a few years.
Same bro same I have an 04 TL auto looking to sell it soon and grab me a 2.0 accord!
The look on the other driver’s face when they see that roof rack blow past him….Priceless
Solid vehicle. Though the term "sleeper" is starting to be grossly misused. If that thing pulled up next to me, I'd immediately suspect some power.
You wouldn’t be expecting 375whp. You’d expect it to be every other dime a dozen Accord with just cosmetic mods and maybe a ktuner
Agree with you. Sleeper is not the appropriate term for this car.
Loved the video
I would definitely buy a TLX 2.0t with SH-AWD. None of that one tire fire issues like the Accord.
Tlx weighs about 600-800 pounds more
I'm glad I bought mine last year and love it. I might end up keeping it after my lease is done 👍
If Honda offered this exact car with RWD I would buy it , it looks good and I can get down with a 10 speed auto just not FWD
Then, just buy one of the 10 other cars on the market with Rwd and turbo charged engine?

Let me just say cleanest Honda build I have seen in a while
It seems like you could do this to an Acura RDX too. It's a very similar engine. And you would also have the AWD.
I've driven those and the 2.0t a10 accord is a masterpiece. And now that I know the type r turbo bolts on, makes me want one even more.
This build on an AWD TLX which has the same engine I guess would be pretty cool
…better, build on the 3.0 V6 motor. Actually, P2R Power Rev Racing already has. Check out their website.
This car looks dope. Owner chose a nice lookin set of wheels, the color and all. Roof rack was a good touch. I wish I could drive an Accord with this power. Love the dimensions of this thing. I've always known I would buy a Civic Si growing up if I wanted a Honda sporty car. But the Accords often had a very nice look to them too. The 2006 Acura TSX I believe was one of the Accord's Type R (Euro R), whatever you call it, which looks clean. A 2010 Accord Coupe, looks really well when it's lowered with nice fitment wheels. Even the older 95 Accord Coupe, andd 1990 Accord Coupe.
would you know what wheels those are?
I've been arguing this point for ever. Just buy an Accord. Stop debating on civics, Passats, all the non sense. Buy an Accord, tune it, enjoy. But nope. The entire community is hell bent on telling me that a 27k USD Civic 1.5t is better than a 30k USD Accord 2.0t. it's not. Not on any planet. Have a 3.5 coupe manual and with a few mods and a tune it leaves 5.0 mustangs in the dust.
100% agree. I traded my civic 1.5t for a 2.0t accord and it’s all around better.
No1 believes you 😭🤣
On a good note , when you leave them behind and all they see is the tail lights getting smaller they will believe you. They are perfect sleepers.
I agree that the accord is worth looking into compared to a Civic. However the only 5.0s you're beating in a 3.5 Accord (not boosted) are the ones from 1980 😂
Give me a damn Accord wagon and I will! I like my hatchbacks
I love this set up, not over exaggerated and practical. Nice.
Someone needs to get him a accord coupe with the V6 6 speed manual to review
I would volunteer my 8th but it would have to be FBO and tuned. I think an 8th or 9th gen 6-6 would be optimal
