😊”rough as guts” is the best description. Only Aussie viewers will understand this. Fantastic breakdown of correct versions and how modelling should be done. Research your subject if you want the best work displayed.😊

Really good video Chris. Like the format. Informative and you hit every aspect of the kit and the build in a very reasonable amount of time.
    Excellent work.

Thank you for the video you just answered so many questions for me because I’m getting ready to build this kit so if I want to paint it Panzer gray I would have to put a white wash on it for it to be accurate ? And the SO4 option it shows it as being a white wash but it doesn’t say if the base color is dark yellow or dark gray which base color would I use for the SO4 option ?

Thanks for the comment Android 13 - to be super accurate, you need to back date the kit to an initial Tiger as only around 25-30 of the first Tigers were painted panzer grey, all further production was in dunkelgelb - dark yellow and tropical (like Tiger 131 at the Tank Museum). Check out David Brydens site here for more info. But if your intent is to build a grey Tiger and this is the kit you have, then do it anyway! More than one way to skin this cat....I intend on building the 1/48 Tamiya early Tiger as "S33" with wavey dark yellow over the original panzer grey camo - not strictly accurate, but an interesting nonetheless. Cheers, Chris

Great review and build of the Tamiya Tiger 1. I was hoping it was the first release of the kit from the 70s. I have one that I kept over the years and recently got back into AFV modelling. The kit is terrible by today's standards lol. To the point where the commanders cupola has no vision slots! I decided that I would build this one and an Italeri Puma to help improve my techniques before I complete any newer kits.
