I watch a lot of YT videos (from professionals where possible), and this is one of the most valuable I've seen in a while. I'm about to get a sleep tracker (ring) and as a lifelong scientist, such tech and its data are only as good as my ability to understand what I'm seeing, including which aspects might be more accurate.
And the part about heart rate is great; mine is really slow when I sleep.... I was an early Apple watch adopter, but I can't wear watches at night because they literally haptic me awake to tell me my HR is too slow!
I learned so much from this video.... Thank you so much!

Thanks for sharing,I have about had it with sleep apnea,I have tried for years with no success with masks but I also use oxygen with it. I hate going in for sleep studies at the clinic because I feel like I also sleep different there. I really need to get this fixed. My biggest problem too, is that I am a mouth breather. I subbed so hope by looking at your videos that I can learn and solve the problem. I wish I was closer to you. 🥰

That was a sneaky answer regarding the sleep score of 42. You know very well it’s the reverse that people are talking about.

I am waking up more than 15 times a night (although I don't remember). Neither do I have alcohol, caffeine or exercise close to bed. Is anyone else having similar symptoms?

I have the same issues, I need a long time to asleep, and overall my sleep is very bad and a lot of times I'm waking up. I went to doctors, tried to use melatonin, tryptophan and some other stuff, but it didn't work. Did you go to the doctor?

You never mentioned cannabis when you were mentioning substances that affect sleep. Does cannabis affect sleep in a positive or negative way? Does cannabis decrease the amount of REM sleep that you get? Does cannabis affect the amount of deep sleep that you get? Does cannabis cause light sleep? Would love to hear your thoughts on this. I have some very old friends like 85 years old that have smoked every single day for their whole lives and see pretty spry. I'm assuming that they're sleep is very affected by cannabis, but in which way?

The part about the heart rate dropping below 50 bpm sounds totally unrealistic! Most people have a resting heart rate between 70 and 90 bpm. Anyone with a heart rate below 50 is considered an athlete!

    • @SethKrieger

And resting rate often goes down with age, as well as cardio fitness level.

Several times this year, my Apple Watch has told me while I’m sleeping that my heart rate went down to 43bpm for ten minutes. I was scared but my doctor told me not to worry.

I'm 24 and mine regularly drops down to 50 at night. My resting during the day is between 60-70. I'm active but I am by no means an athlete. Also keep in mind that there are many health conditions and medications which can contribute to a low resting heart rate regardless of physical activity.

I clicked on one of the hypnosis sleep RUclips videos and a little while after that I’m being stalked when I’m sleeping and my dreams are being hacked by a sleep hypnosis researcher!
Now it’s a regularly happening when I’m sleeping I’m aware that someone joins my dream with hypnosis and keeps asking questions and stuff, and I can’t wake up for work.
I believe this sleep hypnosis researcher is committing a crime and illegally doing a sleep hypnosis research on me.
    How do I catch him/her?!
