Lovely video. Your work looks really neat and clean. I’ve worked with plasterers. And there scratch and everything is just rough. Nice job. The scratch looks the neatest I’ve seen 👍🏼
One of the best videos on rendering I’ve seen. if you guys could go into more detaile on sizes etc, you could be the best. Great camera algles and quality! New sub100%
Nice job I'm gonna put mine on with two top coats as I've seen people scratch it back and the base coat is coming through but if you've got the same colour on the bottom coat it won't notice also it sticks like s*** anyway if not I just put SBR over everything and then put the first coat on and mesh it then scratch it each to their own many thanks
I always put a tight 2 or 3mm just so it takes to the scratch coat then a thick 10 or 12mm second coat. Krend can go tits up quick if you don't know what your doing.
You can just go straight onto them block with out the base coat you know saves cost an time just use 15mm beads an do 2 passes of top coat with mesh in first layer get all on in a day rub it back next day
nice tide job, just one small thing, l would have to clean all the crap away from the building first would make it a lot easier, o, and put radio on you gays talk to much, hehe good work.
You guys could really use a magnetic lathing hammer and stud nails for that bead no messing around with that mud,its how we roll here in fla, great channel 👍
Hi James, I have seen people use without and I think It’s ok, but I prefer to be safe than sorry. You can’t go wrong using the hp12 basecoat to be sure of no adhesion issues.
Good job guys how thick did u put ur base coat on?.....haha ur jacket seen better days looks like a seat at the back now lol...how many bags you use for basecoat
Hi I’m after a bit of advise please, I’m an experienced renderer but never used K rend before. I applied the HP12 base coat over a month ago now too a friends garage and going next week too finish up, my question is will I need too SBR the base coat with it being so dry or at the least soak with water or can I just go straight on top? Thanks.
Hi I know you need to give 24hrs between the coats but I doubt theirs a maximum time. I don’t even think you need to wet it as the base coat is very waterproof so doubt it will absorb much anyway. Is just go straight on.
No sealer required. You can apply this direct to the blocks. If it’s an existing rendered painted surface I would use a primer first. This product has very good adhesion.
Can you render over existing older render like this? So you will still have to do a base coat and a top coat,or could I get away with skimming over the existing render?
Hi sorry to bother you, on brickwork could you tell me how many square meters do you get from a bag base coat and also top coat on brick, I’m a plasterer but never rendered and wouldn’t mind doing my bungalow. Cheers Steve

Does the mesh coat need to be scratched ,seen lots unscratched ¿
@petergray882 yes you should scratch it
Good job lads

@09.20 i see you found a great use for Mr A's Afro comb lol.....

Hi, brilliant page! How long does the HP12 last once mixed in the tub?
Beautiful job chaps, but why not move all that shite out from under your feet on the back elevation?
Was sure of you was gonna snap an ankle 😆
Lol it should of been moved since Monday but one of our workers has been off for two days. It should be moved today
Fact no way i could work on with that
mess
What primer did you use for the walls before putting on your beads?
great video
Hi lads great job .could u tell my what’s size beads u using for that job ? Thanks Karl.and what kind of base coat this is
Nice :)
Nice one may I ask why did you apply base coat before mono thought mono could be put on straight on block 2 coat meshed??
Hi James, I have seen people use without and I think
It’s ok, but I prefer to be safe than sorry. You can’t go wrong using the hp12 basecoat to be sure of no adhesion issues.
@@darrenthebuilder yes makes sense
Good job guys how thick did u put ur base coat on?.....haha ur jacket seen better days looks like a seat at the back now lol...how many bags you use for basecoat
Hi Phi, I promise to pick up a new one soon 😅
The basecoat is say anywhere between 5-10mm
Great job how many bags that take
I can’t remember lol
Does the mesh stop it cracking ??, another great video
Yes to stop cracking.
Nice job , how many meters does a bag of hp12 roughly do,. Thanks
Thanks. You should get 2.5 - 3 sqmetres per bag at around 4-6mm thickness
@@darrenthebuilder many thanks m8, been plastering for years , but never used krend
Nice job guys how long do you get with the base coat be fore it start going off 👍
Hi, you get a decent time. Much more time than sand and cement. I would say you have an hour to play with it.
Why do these home owners want a complete separation house on such a small plot?
They maybe what a separate office space away from the house
I was so bummed no music😥

From putting the first coat on till scratching the lines in roughly how much time do you get 🤔?
I’d say do it as you go
Hi, what size stop beads and corner beads you using? 10mm?
Thanks
How long does the base coat take to set, or does it go off overnight?
How long do you have to wait to dry out base coat before you apply top coat
You can apply it the next day
How long can you leave the base coat before you add the top coat? Top workers.
Thanks Ian, give it till atleast next day
@@darrenthebuilder Can you leave it longer? Does the base coat have a time limit before it's knackered?
Yes you can leave it longer. The basecoat is waterproof so I guess you can leave it quite long
@@darrenthebuilder Great thanks for the help. Do you cover North Wales?
How many bags of HP12 did you use for this job?
Hi I think around 10 or so but I’m not sure
Can the K-rend be applied on the inside walls?
Yes you can
👍🏾
Do you put any sealer of the blocks before base coat?
No sealer required. You can apply this direct to the blocks. If it’s an existing rendered painted surface I would use a primer first. This product has very good adhesion.
Cheers for the reply
You’re welcome
What is the purpose of the mesh Darren?
Hi Ineke, the mesh is to prevent cracking.
Do you fit insulation
Hi guys looking for a quote

Yes you would need to use the base coat first
@@darrenthebuilder thank you and great work, I wish I had your skills, but its never too late to learn 😉
Hi
get yourself a hop up m8 lol
Hi sorry to bother you, on brickwork could you tell me how many square meters do you get from a bag base coat and also top coat on brick, I’m a plasterer but never rendered and wouldn’t mind doing my bungalow.

Hi Steve, you should get about 1.5 - 2 square metres out of a bag. That’s both basecoat and top coat.
