Good job mate 👍👍
Cheers man love this finish hard old work but worth it
@@macplastering yere it look quite good like it 👍👍
thanks bro really kind you sharing your knowledge with us, cheers mate. Charles (NZ)
Any time buddy hope to have more of these uploaded in future
Fassa is a really slow drier, whether it’s acrylic or mono. Water can damage it up to 2 or 3 days after application.👍
Never used it as a mono myself but have been told its very nicevto work with
You did a great job on this house brother , I watched the 4 videos on this project and damn there was a lot of work . But the finish looks amazing 👌🏽 keep up the good work mate
Thanks man currently down and out with a bad flu 🤧
@@macplastering that’s no bueno my friend I hope you get well soon 🙏
back at it now lol
@@macplastering I’m glad to hear that brother
the test video just went live mate
Top video buddy good lad work out on the arms. Haven’t used it but does seem to easier than scrapped back render ?
not sure if it is easier as you have all the rendering to do before hand where as the scrapped gear is a one coat or like i like ti double coat booth hard work LOL
@@macplastering
True. Buddy.
To paint acrylic render can you use exterior self primed paint 2 coats ?
Or do you have to use a special sealer for 2 week old acrylic render?
@c2k911 if its self priming should be OK but you could do a small test 1st? Agin the acrylic will be set and dry and as its not old it will be clean
Hi mate. Just wondering when you are doing a job that you are coating over sand and cement would you float and sponge the sand cement coat or just smooth rub finish then prime? Thanks
Would still sponge mate have the other stages of this job on channel and a few others on this type of acrylic render
Should have used the mesh roll to prevent cracks and add durability other than that good video bro👍🏻
That would be in the base coat
Put mesh in all cracks areas or joints in that block to brick but didn't wrap the whole job
@@Drunk3nMonk3y72 yea did the areas tgat needed it but not the whole job just windows and joints ect thing is it should help but still isn't a 100%
@@macplastering top stuff pal good video you're good at you're work and it shows👍🏻
@@patricklynch236 thanks again mate appreciate the support 👍
Would this work over painted render?
Depends what condition the painted render is in.. If the paint on the render is solid and not flaking it should be fine.. I would personally give it a coat of primer and wait a few days for it to completely dry then go over top with thin coat silicone
Will have avideo on that subject in coming weeks mate
Acrylic will work fine over existing s/c, another option is to spray Corksol on. It’s a great product too.👍
@@markneeson7162 have not used that gear has it got Cork in it?
@@macplastering yeah look it up Joe. You can use it as a finish externally or spray it on internally and skim over it, improves thermal efficiency about 30%. Stuart Roberts did an interview recently with Jamie Orr from Corksol on Trowel talk.👍
Tidy work lads the finish is determined by the size of the aggregate, and u can add small amount of water too the finish ask the
Rep for the manufacturer
Yea I think they said one time a cup or 2 but I tend to just go as it is just give it a real good mix 😆
