Coming along nicely lads, the fella in the grey hats head is well insulated against the cold he has some thatch roof on his head, ox speed skim is great bit of kit keep up the great work lads👍
Thankyou. Tbh I don’t have a number 1. I do quite a few things and enjoy them all. I actually enjoy doing lots of different things in one project. I’m never bored of my work.
Watching you struggle with those wires, you should of fitted the wires afterwards, fitting them through the wall with a conduit those wires aren't protected from any future movement in the wall, also the chemical's in the k rend over time will corrode the casing potentially making the wall live. Chuckle brothers, to you to me
Thanks for answering my q in an earlier vid. I have been planning a diy garden building project and you have got me questioning timber frame vs block. Do you have an opinion on what’s better?
Remember the story of the three little pigs? Brick/block will save you if the big bad wolf comes around! Lol I’d personally go for brick as it is less maintenance (no rot issues etc). It will cost a bit more and take longer but that’s my preference. You can build great timber houses but you gonna make sure you do it right so you don’t have issues in the future especially with the timber and Make sure it’s treated in the appropriate intervals.
Hi Mike, yes the bags say spray (they all seem to) but can be sprayed or hand applied as per the manufacturers guide. Here’s a link to the product with more info cheers www.k-rend.co.uk/products/silicone-scraped-texture/silicone-k1
@@darrenthebuilder oh is that how it works in the UK? Here in Australia each owner is 50% responsible for all the perimeter fencing. It’s such a shame as you will have it looking so nice soon. Great job.
Delightful to watch masters at work....well done lads looking really good 👍
Looking good lads, can’t wait for you to finish up, u make it look so easy but I can see all the grafting you have done to get to this point 👍
Great job. Not an easy site for you to work but you didn't let it stop you.
Tomorrow's going to be the messy one, K rend is good stuff but dust sheets are necessary for sure 👍
Looking good Darren mate
Guys, you make a hard job look easy. And the finish is quality.

Looking great. Is the silicone render or acrylic
Thanks. K1 is a silicone based render.
Good job , just what I need as a wood workshop 6m x 6m
Thanks 🙏🏾
Lovely product K Rend, good range of colours.
Is this the same house you been working on the room from a few videos back?
From my memory the most recent roof was this project. There is still a few bits to complete.
Hi mate, do you apply any bonding fluid to the blocks or scratch coat? Also if you was going on old brick work would you need to?
Hi You don’t need to on new brick. Only if the surface is not sound. There is a primer by Krend that you should use. You can then render Straight on
@@darrenthebuilder thank you for the reply 🤝also mate can you go over a old rough cast with this or should it be removed first. Thanks

Chuckle brothers, to you to me
This is very normal. Krend (silicone render) isnt going to corrode the cables and you cant make a concrete wall live.
Hi how do we get a quote from you to get a garden shed built and fencing thanks kevin

New fencing too?
We will be repairing some parts on one side. The side regime the house is the responsible of that neighbour
