Hi Mike, You make that look so easy, What would happen if you got half way across a wall and rain stopped play ?. Would you be able to carry on from where you left off or would you finish the complete wall even in the rain?, Thanks
@@mikewestonplastering5082Carrying on from orignal question ,would thisbe the same procedure if you was to then silicone render as a final coat. Its something im going to do at home ,first attempt , Done years of s&c so just getting to grips with procedure ,Great vid ,thanks👍👍
Why are you basecoating concrete blocks? Yeh scrim your stress points etc but correct me if im wrong but you can apply monocouche/ k rend straight onto that surface no base required unless obviously thermalight blocks, old brick etc then yeh base coat?
Hawks are so slow - I have been plastering 30 year and my boys and I only use a 6-inch broad knife and a 20 x 5 trowel.... You should try that - you'll find it's more efficient and economical, also produce more from your man hours.
Why mesh when going onto solid blockwork? I thought mesh was for cement board where there are joints!! You don't mesh sand and cement render which is what I would have done on solid blockwork 🤔
Very informative video mate

That darby work is not necessary mate, lay your base coat on and trowel in the mesh scratch top coat,
