Can We Use It's Animations In Our Commercial Game BTW Definately Gonna Buy It
Looks awesome, I just purchased it.
EDIT: Its abandoned
What's happening with updates? It's been quiet since July
We’re still working hard on it! The recent COVID lockdown made us move to working from home :( which delayed the last update unfortunately. But it’s almost ready! Thanks for waiting! We really appreciate it. 👍🏼
@@Filmstorm Thanks for the reply, really looking forward to it. Best of luck
Sir i have a request on how to create third person system like climbing ladder with playmaker..plz make a tutorial on it. Thank you.
Eventually, this can face mixamo as mixamo is kinda overrated.. I hope this will blew up
Is this something like Reallusions Actorcore where they have motion captured motions to use for game development or for 3d film?
Hey i have a question on one of your videos... Its the equip and unequip video...i did everything right until the very end but my sword keeps shrinking evey time i equip how do i make the size stay
bought it and indeed a very useful tool, hope you will add more animation in the future.
Thanks, yes we are just fixing bugs at the moment and will be publishing many more animations, we have a few thousand more animations pending the new update. Thanks for checking it out in Early Access as well. Please let us know if you run into any bugs too.
Dose it create FBX files
Sure does! And if you import your own character it will match the base structure so you can import it back into other game engines 👍🏼
@@Filmstorm cool thanks
You’re very welcome!
Tried reporting a bug via mail, but it didn't seem to work. In any case, when I try to export FBX it just exports in .glb format.
This has been fixed now :) You can check the steam community page to get the latest updates steamcommunity.com/app/1534490/discussions/
How is the update coming along.... looking forward to expansion of animations, hopefully with the rifle sets :)
It’s great, just incorporating a neural network to help with retargeting offsets, makes it so easy to use your rigs with the motions. Also yes with the new update we’re bringing a massive amount of new animations, there’s climbing, female, jumping, falling and more. The next update after this one will be weapons as this will align with our prop system we are releasing. 👍🏼
Will you be able to import this animations to a custom character? And how would it be possible? I had bad experiences trying to import animations to custom characters from other platforms
Hi there, yes Motion Studio can retarget our motions to your custom characters. We tried to make it as simple as possible by just matching the bones of your rigs to our bones and then the retargeter will do the hard work :)
This looks crazy cool. Are these different from the marketplace packs, or will things such as the balance animations be in Motion Studio?
There will be some from our packs, but mostly original motions included and all motions added will be free no additional purchases.
@@Filmstorm Good to know! Wishlisted a few minutes ago. Looking forward to the release!
I just downloaded the program. For now it is just an animation viewer/retargeter/exporter with 3 animsets. The locomotion in particular looks strange, always hunched over. Can you give us some details on what is to come in the future in broad strokes?
When It Will Be Released Will It Be Free??
It’s available on Steam now, and it’s currently part of the Steam Sale Event: store.steampowered.com/app/1534490/Motion_Studio/
@@Filmstorm I Have Purchased It I But I Was Asking When It Will Be Released Fully
(After Early Access)Will It Be Free As In The Video It Was Showning "Price Only Available While In Early Access" I Am Asking It Because Me And My Friend Are Making A Commercial Game So He Was Asking For That And Also Can We Use The Animations Of The Software In Our Commercial Game.
Thanks -
Appreciate Your Good Work Towards Indie Sutdios.
Soon? April is nearly over :(
It’s out now, just in time! 👍🏼
Looking forward to this! Mixamo is great but access to more animations is always better. Rokoko's per-anim pricing model is a huge turn-off. I would gladly pay upfront for full access to a quality anim. library.
Yes we didn't want to charge anything inside the software, just pay once and you're done. Get all future motion updates free.
Can one request animations for a fee. Like some John Wick Takedowns??
There will be a request area in the software, anyone can request particular animations and we'll do our best to add it to the library. You only pay for the software once, and then new motions will be added over time for free.
@@Filmstorm Thats really cool. holy moly thats good. Is there going to be a user submitted mocap data entry or will you be the one that makes the content?
I’m sure we can open it up to user submissions as well. For now we’ll iron out all the kinks at the start of early access and allow for user requests for custom motion capture. There should be a portal for uploading your own motion data to contribute to the ecosystem in the future as well 👍🏼.
@@Filmstorm Awesome!!!
This is way better than mixamo
Thanks!
@@Filmstorm Quick question. Will this include animations from some of your marketplace packs? Or will those be seperate?
Compatible with unreal mannequin?
Yes! And you can import and retarget your own rigs as well.
@@Filmstorm Would you folks be able to do a tutorial on this please? I've tried retargeting with the Unreal mannequin but the bones seem to get messed up. Thanks!
This looks incredibly good, can’t wait for the release!
Motion Studio is now live! :)
Definitely will test this out!!
Let us know how you go :)
@@Filmstorm I pointed some stuff out in the steam discussion section of the product
Yes I just saw it, will reply and have some of the issues patched :) Thanks for the feedback as well, makes the product better in the end with the extra testing
I need this bigly
Are the animations rigged to the Epic skeleton for easy UE4 use?
Most underlying animations use epic skeleton for industry convenience. Although we are working on an exporter to export out motions using your own rigs via retargeting too :)
Will this be able to export humanoid root motion animations ? Custom character import and preview would be awesome ! Definitely gonna purchase!
Yes the motions will have authored root motion baked into the motions.
We should have the custom character importer with retargeting for the previewer as well by release.
@@Filmstorm awesome!
man, looking forward to this one!
Looks promising, wishlisted.
Thanks!
In the $50 are the animation included or that's just for the viewer?
going by the video, it includes all the animations to export, and from his comments to other questions, any future animations added in updates
Yes just pay once for the software and all the motions are included. Also all motions going forward are free updates too!
Indeed!
wow
How many animations are there?
Current count is 4673 -> more will be available by time of release
What will the licensing be, can we use the animation exports in commercial projects with unlimited sales?
Yes, all animations can be used in commercial projects, the only limitation is that the animations can't be re-sold by themselves. For example, you can't export them and package them to sell as an animation pack somewhere else. You can, export and use them as animations in a games, films, tv shows, etc.. which is completely fine.
@@Filmstorm Makes perfect sense! Thanks for the reply.
can i get this now and for free?
You can Wishlist it on Steam for release in April - not long to go :)
