Great episode! I remember Mandi would live tweet a few episodes back in the day. She really did such a great job at encompassing each of the liars identity through fashion almost to the point that the fashion itself felt like it’s own character and had its own identity. It’s a shame her influence wasn’t in season 7, as the fashion in the time skip definitely didn’t feel as impactful but I’m glad to hear things worked out for the better for her. I wouldn’t mind if you invited her back for another episode as I would love to hear her opinions going of what Sasha said when she said she could feel the writing change around her medical condition and if Mandi had any decision in what Alison would wear and how they started dressing her like she’s in her 40’s

Ok I did enough this episode but they had golden opportunity talk about how fashion played a role in each girls' personality...
Like even in the flashbscks you could see aria went from pure goth to slight edgy
And Alison why did they not bring up the famous yellow top? Like why yellow? What was the thought process behind this....
And for 'mean girl' Alison wardrobe was surprising unwilling ..i'm not saying she dressed badly but her clothing was like a normal teen's...nothing really screamed ' mean girl!'
Was that done on purpose..becase I think that tells us a lot about Alison as character she does not need to flaunt things in order to get her way...her words are cut through enough, her mindset is vicious and her actions give us 'villain vibes'. She is very different from other mean girls, Blair Waldorf (Gossip Gir) had designer clothes and a wealthy mindset..Regina George ( Mean Girls) had an obsession with pink and telling people what the wear... Cheryl Blossom (Riverdale) had her iconic red lip, red hair and red clothes...RED was the Blossom family colour
But Alison was not like that Fashion did not play role in her flashback scenes....
And even though Hannah was suppose to be 'a reflection of Alison'...i found Hannah clothes to be more stylish... Alison clothes did not scream 'POPULAR' but Hannah and Mona's wardrobe definitely did...

Mandi created a fashion movement. Everyone wanted to dress like Aria or Spencer, there were articles on Seventeen magazine on how to recreate the looks, videos of girls showing lookbooks inspired by the girls style and how to DIY some accessories, even a collab with Aeropostale. It was so notorious the wardrobe change and seems like the new stylist was creating looks for the actresses and not the characters.

Can we talk about how when Mona exposed herself for being A she said at the end of the episode “the liars are going home with their doors unlocked, don’t they know that’s what we want” well that is how the writers made us excited for season 2 and let us know there was someone else as A.. a few seasons later we all find out it was CeCe Drake that was the other A from season 3-5 that Mona was talking about.. but that makes no sense and doesn’t add up because apparently CeCe didn’t even meet Mona until she was in radley sanitarium and CeCe didn’t even think to become the next A until after she met Mona there.. but when Mona said “don’t they know that’s what we want” when she exposed herself for being A at the end of season 2.. Mona hadn’t been the radley yet she never met CeCe yet so CeCe was not who Mona was talking about and there was no other A.. I just thought that was a frustrating plot hole.

I have trich SO bad. So so bad. But mine isn’t my head hair, it’s my eyebrows and eyelashes. Mine is very triggered by lack of sleep but it’s also completely random. The stairwell case was craze
1. I think it's one of the only times someone was actually killed by a fire poker (in this case, it was kinda a poker/blower.
2. The husband was bisexual (which friends of the couple and friends of the wife say that the wife had no clue that he had a "gay" side).
3. His first wife (or girlfriend not sure if they were really married, because she was living a lone... But she also died by Allegedly falling down the stairs. The same MO as the 2nd wife.
4. Also, he adapted her children... weird... and took them to grow up in America.
5. The German police ended up digging up the first wife to check her body for physical damage.
It's a great true crime story... I believe that Dateline did an episode about the case and ID as well, I think, plus the short movie / TV about it called the 'Staircase' by HBO (now on Netflix too)
Watch it... it's crazy.... He also caused a giant rip between the kids of the family (who were around 18 years old, but still)

This really is the only podcast I was though, I’m 25 and I have been watching the show since I was 14, literally rewatched it multiple times a year and I still do just throw it on all day or night for background comfort noise lol
There are only a few shows and movies I can rewatch so much
(That 70’s show, Harry Potter, modern family, bobs burgers and pretty little liars)
This show is iconic, aesthetically pleasing, and rosewood was (besides A) this cute “safe” good feeling little town, it wasn’t over modernized, trendy music but very in its own time, that’s why I don’t watch the spin off show for PLL it’s just completely different one example is how much darker the show is, it should have been a show on its own and not have called it a spinoff because they took away the actual aesthetic and time of the show.. that’s what people want to feel and see again not this completely opposite vibe dark town creepy ass looking A.. it was a no just for the “aesthetic” and vibes it was not satisfying as a “spin off” and was so disappointing.. I really wish they would bring back PLL with the original cast (you guys) and give us fans a real A that everyone is happy with, Emily and page should have ended up together and Jenna deserved a better love life and should have been able to get her sight back again, and also the 5 year jump seasons were kind of a disservice to the first 5 seasons of the show as well, we needed to see everyone grow up and change but the entire 5 year jump, A was a joke every other A was better.., nobody had any GOOD nostalgic moments, like there were not a lot of full circle moments, they should have been hunting for clues at the high school, chaperoned a school dance, the entire vibe of the show changed, the episodes did not compare to the vibe of the first 4 seasons! The entire cast was brilliant and you guys are all main characters to me ❤
