Thank you! Agreed, I quite like their tan. They do seem to have a bit of variation in their tan color, which I recently noticed since I got one of their risers and compared it to this scope mount. Not that it matters too much, but worth mentioning.
Too tall for me, but boy is that good looking. The color is excellent. Almost a lime. I ordered a reptilia in clear anodizing hoping it looks more like that.
I mounted a PLxC 1-8x to this mount last week, but decided to swap it out for a Reptilia. I too have neck issues, but I feel like an optic with the capability to reach out should be mounted at a height that allows you a proper cheek weld. Also, the eyebox of any scope is relatively small to a red dot or a modern prism, so building the muscle memory to snap into position at 1x with a high mount is a bit annoying.
Good points. Personally I haven't had an issue with the chin weld even when shooting out at distance but for my use case I wanted something that would work well when mostly shooting standing and crouching with occasional prone shooting. I could see a slightly lower mount being beneficial especially if you do mostly prone or long-range shooting.
I want to run the 2.05 unity tactical fast mount with my nightforce atacr but its too tall to run a top mount rmr to use with passive night vision. Im looking to try a ring mount for the rmr installed on a 45 degree offset. Thats the only thing keeping me from running that over the badger ordnance 1.70 with a top mount rmr. I would really love to run as close to the same height lpvo as i do with the unity fast mount aimpoint t2 setup.
Thanks for mentioning that. I've still yet to get into night vision myself so I hadn't considered that it'd be too high for passive aiming but that'll come in useful in the future, I can definitely see that being a problem.
@@Feldmutze Im going to try out the larue ring mount for rmr mounted on an offset to see if its able to be used on a 45 for passive night vision shooting.
Man this is the 1st ive heard of that gap being normal. I got a return started. Im going to take another look but i sent pics to Unity, maybe thats why they havent written back.
No, I got rid of the Discord server. It was pretty dead anyway and although most the people on the Discord were chill there was a few in specific that made it far more annoying than it was worth to deal with.
Just ordered mine, so now I got to watch reviews to confirm my bias 😅
Great video, thanks for sharing! I’m thinking about getting one of these myself. I really do like the FDE/Tan they have.

@@charltont23 Sounds like a good option. Hopefully that works for you, I'd be interested to know the results for when I do my night vision setup.

Yeah the gap is nothing to be concerned about, so long as it isn't excessive. I've seen it on Badger Ordnance, Vortex, and ADM mounts.
@@Feldmutze yea apparently its a thing. But i swear to God, if it wasnt for you n your vid i would be mailing it back. Your the man. Thank you.
Thanks for the overview. You still have that discord server?

@@Feldmutze totally understand, it would be too much to manage for me if it felt like a chore.
