    Checking your table level with a 1 inch level 😂

    Step 1: make sure the world is level.

      If the tables not level but rifle in the vise is showing level why wouldn't it work seriously asking

      @@bdbbdb9691 because you level the optic to the rifle and the rifle alone.👍

    Love the video. What torque wrench are you using here? I'm looking for a good one.

    I just use a wedge type scope leveller then use a string and plumb bob to confirm.

    I think you mean 18 in. / lbs. not 18. ft. / lbs.

      I agree theres no way those little screws would be at 18 ft lbs.

    There is no sense to have a level table of mounting the scope. It is the rifle that matters where you place the scope, if the rifle railing is uneven then the scope will be uneven as well. I can place the scope holding the rifle vertical. Unless you can give a convincing reason why we will place it in a level table or platform.

      I guess leveling table makes it slightly more accurate especially with analog levels

    Kinda new to AR builds, does loctite go on all screws used for mounting to include folding sights, foregrip, scopes etc?

      @steelcitytbirds 2 месяца назад +2

      Some scope mounts to do not recommend Loctite. I've seen online that: a) it acts as a lubricant until it sets and can give you inaccurate torque readings; b) you "should reduce applied torque" by 20% when using Loctite; and c) itdoesn't affect torque readings at all.
      I'd stick with your scope/mount manufacturers recommendations.

      Folding sights immediately get loctite because every one that I’ve ever seen just clamps right on.
      Foregrips and lights, don’t bother.
      Scopes? Unless it’s an ACOG or something that can only mount one way I would not immediately put loctite on it.
      LPVO like in the video mount it up without loctite initially and make sure everything about how it’s mounted works for you after shooting it and then you can _usually_ undo one screw at a time for the ring caps, loctite it, reinstalled, then move to the next screw.

      Vibratite or Purple Locktite, just enough gummieness to discourage them from coming loose.
