OMG that video is so cool. It does capture the spirit and emotion of running a packed marathon. I have run Chicago 3 times (twice for charity) and Berlin. Next on the list is hopefully qualifying for Boston & NY and then the London ballot. Keep running and keep posting the race videos.
Hey Anna! Just back from NY , thanks for your great video it captured perfectly the spirit of the race! Enjoyed every minute of it and I can remember any mile of the race thanks to your video, I finished in 3:25:10 on a spectacular day for running! Well done Anna you're an inspiration!
I was thinking that too, I have done 4 official marathons and 2 unofficial marathons and it's hard enough just running without the phone lol.Well done Anna
100% she sure is! I’m in London marathon next year my first ever running event and watching these amazing videos gives me so much hope and determination to put in the work to complete it!
You know, seeing all the support out there, seeing you give and get high-fives from police, random strangers, etc is great. But it makes me worry that people are going to never do this again because of that virus. I have a marathon late this year (2020) and am worried they are going to either cancel it, or put in some very crazy, draconian measures, and it will take all the fun and enjoyment out of it. (I'm going to need some high-fives during my run!)
That was a emotional rollercoaster for me just watching. Anna your so inspiring and you deserve every good thing that comes your way. A true lovley person. 😁
Anna! I cried so hard, because someone once told me I couldn’t be a runner either ... and I’m running my first marathon this February 9th! Thank you for sharing your heart! You made my day!! ❤️❤️❤️
Long distance running really strips you bare. You’re left with just the essentials and become more introspective and emotional. Anna, you’re a great runner and an amazing person.
I just ran the Virtual NYC Marathon. Trained for months. I made my own route, planned bathroom breaks, brought plenty of fuel which I depleted in the last 5 miles...Everything hurts but damn did it feel good to finish. At the end of it, I was so emotional. If I had any tears at the end, I would've let them out. I put my heart and soul into this.
I cried with you Anna. You give me so much inspiration to get out and run, I’m literally running my first half marathon in March because of this channel. Thank you for being you x
Oh gosh Gem. Wow! Thank you. That’s so awesome. I’m so happy to hear that. We wouldn’t be the Running Channel without runners like you so THANK YOU for watching (Anna)
He was incredible! To have that pat on the back just when I needed it was amazing. I’d forgotten all about it until I watched it back to edit the video. What a guy (Anna)
A few years ago I was so depressed and awful because of a small heart defect. I had a pacemaker put in to correct it and started running. Now I'm up to 8 miles and looking forward to pushing past for my first 1/2 Marathon! Keep at it... we are watching! We are cheering!
This is my first comment ever. I just started to run and I did my first 5k this past October. My goal is to run a marathon, and as I was watching I was getting emotional with you because I know my mind would have fought me the whole time. I don’t know you, but you should be so proud of yourself. I am very inspired, motivated and excited to really start running. I’m not a big fan of long distance running, but I hope to stay motived so I will learn to enjoy it. Thank you for making this video.
I watch this and can't stop crying. I'm training for my first marathon, the NYC on November 7th. You are so right respect the distance. I cried when I finished my 15 mile training run. I never realized I could get so emotional. I did it I kept saying. I felt great. This weekend I tackle 19 miles. It's all coming together. I know during and after the race I'm going to be an emotional wreck. We are all capable of doing more than what we think. It's mental. I'm so ready to be part of the 1% club at the age of 51....HOLLA!!!!!! Thanks for sharing your experience and congrats!!
When I ran my first marathon I collapsed from a leg cramp at mile 20. I didn't think I would finish. But that crowd cheering me on helped give me that extra push I needed to finish. You are a rockstar. I love watching your videos.
Congrats Anna!!! I love how emotional she gets. It really portrays the feeling of running a marathon. Videos like this make me think I will really return to the full distance next year and finally try for that PR
I've always told everybody that I WONT EVER RUN... now I love it. Working my way up to a half marathon next year and maybe the year after that I''l tackle a marathon. Also you're awesome Anna!
"Having that support from total strangers"... You nailed one of the absolute greatest parts of the whole experience. Bravo to you and everyone who took part in what was a magical day. Can't wait 'til next year.
As a parent I am not ashamed to say I've cried at the clips of those children ringing the bell. Great job on finishing and even greater job on running it for a good cause!
It’s ridiculous the rollercoaster of emotions. Riding the wave of being so overwhelmed, relieved and proud at the same time is amazing. Watching it back I can see the moment from the look on my face that I realise I’ve just run the New York City Marathon. It is such a special and epic race. What an incredible day! (Anna)
Since I started watching the running channel I’ve got really motivated and gone on to do my first 10k race my first 10 mile race and I’m signed up to loads more next year including the Yorkshire Marathon so thank you your awesome 👍🏻🏃♂️
Oh my goodness Jimmie that is AMAZING! Thank you for sharing that with us! Honestly it makes me so so proud to hear stories like yours and that is exactly why the Running Channel exists. Happy running (Anna)
I was on mile 26 cheering you and others on and got so inspired to start running for the first time. I have this crazy idea of signing up and see if I can qualify for the 2020 😱. I’m turning 40 next year and I want to overcome my biggest obstacle "myself". I’m the one that has always held myself back, telling me I can’t do it. 2020 is going to be my year to change that. You are such an amazing inspiration, thank you 🙏🏼
You sound just like me! I did qualify in 2020 for my 40th but COVID dashed my hopes of doing that. I chickened out and deferred my entry until 2022 and just claimed my spot this week. I'm nervous and excited and anxious and a lot of other things but here goes nothing! I hope you made it!
I was crying and laughing with you! That looked amazing and you were so honest about how it feels. Ran my first this year in Brighton (you guys really helped with my training). I said never again. Now I want to do another one 😳
Oh girl you made me cry, I also ran the race, the crowds were amazing and so supportive, I also ran for a cause, it was for autism, it was all well worth it, I’m still on cloud 9, and I also ran by the juggling guy lol, congratulations 🎉🎉🎉
I’m starting back doing couch to 5K and this has really inspired me! My aim is to run a half before I’m 30 (next November) and then hopefully run the London marathon in 2021 😬 well done Anna you SMASHED IT 🥳🥳🥳
@@runninggirl5077 I did indeed! Ran London this past October, a very slow time but I enjoyed myself so much. Got a few half marathons under my belt now and will be doing Great North Run next year 😊
@@abilavelle5740 amazing! That's very nice to hear! 😉 Finally races are open again, giving more inspiration for training. I whish you good luck for the upcoming races 👍👍😀
I've always said to myself that running a marathon (or even a half marathon) was never going to be a goal for me but now I feel like maybe I should be aiming towards it because that looked like such a special memory. Thank you for such great content.
I love that you still get emotional. That sounds weird, I know. But it just shows me that you don't take anything for granted, and you truly appreciate what your body can do. I am currently training for my first half marathon. Maybe after I do a few of those, I'll tackle a full. My dad's run 50 (New York included), so maybe he can give me some pointers. Thanks, Anna, for keeping it real. I love the Running Channel
Anna, I just love how authentic you are. I’ve watched this video several times for inspiration and to help give me enough courage to apply for the NYC marathon. And I just found out this week that I was accepted on to my favorite charity’s team for the next NYC marathon!! It will be my very first full marathon. Thank you for helping to give me the courage to go for it!
That was so emotional to watch. I know this is old now, but well done. You didn't just run a marathon, you were able to talk, even in the last mile. Inspiring.
I love how you document your emotions during the race bc I get like this when I run and I compare myself so much! I’m no where near marathon ready but my mental blockage gets in the way so often! So thank you for being a real human 😍
OMG this video has reminded me why i love running. I am a far cry away from a Marathon but seeing the stages Anna went through is enough to push myself further. Thanks Anna this video and yourself are bloody amazing!!!
Just amazing. Made me very emotional watching it. I did the London marathon back I 2000 and 01. It's such a achievement and always such a great way to help a charity. Very well done.
Congratulations on your achievement. I ran my 22nd NYC Marathon on 11/3 as well. Each year the NYRRC does a splendid job in making this wonderful event possible. In those 22 marathons there was not one single issue or even a negative comment uttered by anyone. Not as fast as you but I tried my level best. But the good news is I ranked 12th in the State Of NJ IN MY AGE GROUP! But the bad news is in the State of NJ there were only 20 runners IN MY AGE GROUP (I will be 69 in December). Again congratulations on your wonderful achievement and thank for posting the video.
Congrats John! As we say here on the Running Channel, ‘comparison is the thief of joy’ so as long as you were happy with your race it doesn’t matter which position you came in! 🙌 22 NYC marathons is incredible!! I’m in awe! We’re you wearing one of those NYRRC signs that said ‘this is my xx NYC marathon’? If you were, I might have seen you! I did see a few of them! (Anna)
Great video. I ran the NYC marathon myself, last Sunday. Nice to see some of those highlights again. And your experience was so recognisable, Anna. ( and almost the same finishing time 😉). The people of NY were amazing. Their support ( even from the volunteers who handed out the water) really helped. It was my third marathon and my slowest time ever, but it's the one I'm most proud of. 🤘
Way to go Jerry. Congrats!! Surprised you didn’t see yourself at the end there in amongst the throngs. Wasn’t it just an EPIC day? The volunteers were amazing. The crowds were incredible. What an amazing event. (Anna)
I watched all of Anna’s Insta stories on the day of the marathon, and now this video.. I can’t believe there were 26.2 miles of people cheering, it looks amazing and completely understand why you were so emotional - I’m totally inspired. I’ve only been running properly for about 6 months, all I’ve done so far is a couple of 10k’s around Glasgow, I’m definitely going to ramp it up and try and do a marathon as soon as I can 😬
Thanks Tom! Yeh, left the holey leggings and TMI about the chapped lips and spots etc out of this one 😉 All I will say about the marathon is DO IT! Honestly. You won’t regret it. The sense of achievement out weighs the DOMs all day long. Those aches fade - the pride and memories don’t! (Anna)
Running the half marathon in March! Watching this video really inspired me to run the full marathon one day, this video honestly put me to tears a few times, very well documented! Keep it up 🤟
This si so inspiring, everytime I want to quit during a run I remember the feeling of finnishing such an important race and that only with enough training I can get there. Kudos to all of you at the running channel.
I cried when you cried and said the reason you are running a marathon is because someone told you, you can't. Nice as this applies to every aspect of life. Well done and nice inspirational video 🙏
I'm not an emotional person, but you made me tear up watching this. I have done 2 half marathons and I've thought about doing a full, but the idea of it terrifies me. After watching this, I might just do it.
I've watched this video before, and now I've come to revisit it as I just got a place in the 2022 NYC Marathon and will be travelling from the UK. I cannot wait after watching this - it reminded me of how great the atmosphere in London was last year, and combined with that and your authenticity (and getting emotional at all the same things I did in London) it just made for absolutely great watching, and now I'm just itching the get there and counting down the days!
Lovely video. There aren't many (or any!) running videos on YT that make you emotional but this one certainly did. Anna, that was a wonderful advert for the sport. Thank you for sharing the journey with us. New York marathon is def a bucket list race!
Very inspiring! I just startet running 5 weeks ago and getting from "I can´t run 1 min without breaking down" to "running 13,5km and feeling great about it". Now first time in my life I am thinking to join a half marathon and next year a marathon.
I loved this!!!!! So happy you enjoyed it! I got all emotional as I was watching you. I hope to run the NYC marathon one day! Thank you sooo much for sharing your experience 😊
Total respect. Because of the running channel and Anna it has inspired me to run my first half marathon at the Madison Wisconsin marathon just 2 weekends ago. I finished 2hr 12 min mark, and was surprised I had exceeded my own expectations. I prep only for 1 month and realized it's all mindset. But come race day, the crowd and the atmosphere of the running community gives you more than enough push to finish and have a stronger mindset. Love running, going to keep doing it, I have my goals in place but more excited about the training towards those goals. Anna again true inspiration and I plan to run the twin cities full marathon 2020. Running is now and will continue to be part of my lifestyle. Cant wait for more videos.
You an amazing runner, I’ve been watching all you videos and I finally ran my half marathon and I can’t wait to sign up for others until I get ready to run a whole marathon
Thank you for your videos, Anna. They have inspired me to sign up for my first full in September at age 41. Gotten into running this past year and your channel has been big part of my journey. Appreciate all you do for us runners. Cheers from upstate NY
NYC marathon is amazing . I’ve done it 4 x and every time the emotion is overwhelming , the crowds are brilliant. I DARE you not to cry when you cross the line. Even got a misty watching this and I was running at the same time (albeit slower than you 😀). A random act of kindness from a stranger when you’re beat invigorates you. If you ever want to run a marathon, NY has to be done. Don’t worry about being slow or self conscious, the time limit is very generous, and when you wear your medal out, New Yorkers will treat you like a hero. You’ll feel even more of a superhero than you already are
I’m going to start training for my first marathon soon and I love watching you go through all the ups, downs and emotions while running one. This makes me super excited to run mine. Thank you, I love your channel!
Congrats Anna!! I am very inspired by you and thank you for letting me feel how lucky I am now and will really run more marathon to help more people.❤️❤️❤️
Well done Anna (and Ben). I was choking up watching you Anna, you really wear your heart on your sleeve🙂. Having done 2 marathons myself I can really sympathise with you on the roller coaster of emotions that you experience when running in one. Brilliant effort and keep doing what your thing👍🏻😁
Thanks Ian. I really do wear my heart on my sleeve. I think even more so when I run. I’m so glad to be able to share what it’s really like for an average runner out there taking on a marathon. Maybe another’s on the cards for you? (Anna)
Such a massive personal challenge and achievement. I was in tears just watching! It brings back memories from when I rode the Ride London 100 in 2017, was so emotional and the support and cheering definitely energises you. Well done!
Such a noble thing to do. Run for children. I have never ran a marathon in my life, I’m half crazy. But the thought of running for children with cancer is a huge motivation. My nephew lost his battle with cancer 3 years ago today. I will run one for him!! Thank you!!
Anna! My goodness I never expected to be so moved by watching someone else run a marathon. I have never had the opportunity to run the NYC marathon. I have to admit that I am at a slight standstill after I finished 100k back in August. I am trying hard to find something new to set as a goal and am not sure where to go from here.
I've just watched this video for the 3rd time . It's so raw and beautiful ! I love your videos and enjoy the hell outta them. All of you just seem so natural and relatable. . . even though every single one of you is in way better shape than i am, but still this video and especially Annas emotional commentary has inspired me to start in a half-marathon in April 2020 :). Best of luck to all of you and thanks for the motivation !
I did my first marathon this May 2019. I was a couch to marathon runner! It was on my husbands bucket list and he convinced me to do it with him. I Hated running, couldn’t imagine ever running a mile.. and the furthest I ran before the marathon was 13.1 and that was 6 months out from the race. I watched so many of your videos for inspiration and tips on what my body was feeling and how to combat the pain I was encountering. YOU made a huge difference for me in my journey and I am so happy to see that you completed the NYC marathon! 💕 -Anna from North Dakota (USA)
Oh my goodness Anna I LOVE this. THANK YOU. Congratulations on your incredible achievement. I’m so happy for you. The question is, will you do another?! (Anna)
Great video. I'm 2 years into my running life - took 47 years to get there. Parkrun started it, then moved to 10K, then managed the Dirt half challenge in November - full marathon is definitely the 2020 goal after watching this. Well done, brilliant video. It's also true about the support - you're running and people you've never seen before are shouting encouragement and it makes you not want to let them down. Then when you finish you think back and want to thank them all for their support.
Anna, Amazing! You made me emotional and inspired me as well.. New runner here and just run my first half in Chiswick.. Want to run the London Marathon some day.. Your channel is great!
Wow, Emma. You’ll set me off crying again!! Seriously, I cannot tell you how happy that makes me. THANK YOU. And good luck! Not that you need it - you know the score. Happy running and I hope your training goes really really well (Anna)
Great job Anna and Ben! My first marathon will be the All American Marathon in Fayetteville, NC March 2020. Setting my goal time to 4:27 to see if I can match Ben.
Mad respect Anna!!! You're so genuine, and kudos for raising money and awareness for such a great cause. I enjoy how you talk to people around you (congrats all!), give high fives, pet the dogs. You've captured the entire experience and brought us along.. I've watched this vlog twice already, and I'm sure it won't be my last.
Thanks so much Donna. I’m so happy to be able to bring you the real perspective of a normal runner on race day ☺️ And that means I can’t ignore those dogs! (Anna)
You are such a wholesome, genuine person! Just finished my first 10k yesterday and will begin training for a half marathon next week. You are such an inspiring, lovely person. Subscribed!
You’re truly inspirational and utterly amazing 🏃🏻♀️⚡️ and yes you do make me want to do a marathon so let’s hope I get a club place for VLM But can I ask that you stop crying as you set me off every bluddy time 😖
This looks so much fun. ive been running 5k every day and atleast once a week i do a 10k. i cant wait to try out a marathon. all the people watching i can imagine gives you so much extra energy
Running a marathon has always been a fitness bucket list thing since I’m currently struggling to get through a 5k without walking a bit. I’m ready to kick some marathon arse though. Gonna start training soon
I'm 57 and have run two Marathons in the last two years, I had never run one before as had addiction problems with alcohol. I felt all your emotions in this vidio. I;m a big tough man and couldn't understand why I was welling up a lot when I was running them. Now after watching you I understand its a rollercoaster with the mind and its ok to cry. Thankyou :)
I'm speechless after watching Anna run this marathon and vlog at the same time. I love NYC because it's where I first lived when I came to America. And I'm well aware of the importance of beating cancer. So this video was hitting me at many different levels. But above all, it was very inspirational.
Have you ever run NYC Marathon before? How did you get on? Or has this inspired you to take part?
I have wanted to run it for years! Just never yet had the chance.
OMG that video is so cool. It does capture the spirit and emotion of running a packed marathon. I have run Chicago 3 times (twice for charity) and Berlin. Next on the list is hopefully qualifying for Boston & NY and then the London ballot. Keep running and keep posting the race videos.

Thanks. Great time!
I’ve done 5 marathons (all london) I was already inspired but this video has increased that inspiration. When’s the 2020 race entry going live?
i was the girl you handed your bag to! I volunteer with UPS every year with my mom! I remember your camera!
Oh hi 👋 yeh, I had to do two takes because I forgot the first time 🤦🏻♀️ Thank you for giving up your time to volunteer 🙌
That's so cool!
Eyyy!!
You are cute lol
Coincidentally cool, nice
Running a marathon.... respect. Running a marathon and vloging at the same time... ultimate respect. Inspirational video. 👍🏻
Thanks Stephen ☺️ (Anna)
I was thinking that too, I have done 4 official marathons and 2 unofficial marathons and it's hard enough just running without the phone lol.Well done Anna
Ikr,, how is she able to do it ,, imagine the level of fitness 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Almost 3 years after this was posted, and I can assure you, you are still inspiring people..
For real! 🎉
100% she sure is! I’m in London marathon next year my first ever running event and watching these amazing videos gives me so much hope and determination to put in the work to complete it!
Running my first marathon ever in London next year. I am looking forward to it but hope I won't cry as often 😂
"That looks horrible... But I want to do it so bad."
Yay Eveliina! That makes me so happy!! Thank you! Hope you find one to sign up for! Happy running (Anna)
I am this year Eveliina, so excited!

Me too, someday I will run a marathon!!!!😍
Hey Anna, I'm gonna sign up for one next year. Thanks for the inspiration!

Thanks Ami 😊
What about Jesus?
Same thing I thought. You are a legend talking and running ❤

Good luck on your marathon
Good luck for Sunday. Hope it goes well!
This time tomorrow......... 👑😎🍺
Watching this video on Feb 9th (in Australia hehe)! How'd you go?
The fact that you can record, run and talk as well as cry at the same time is fantastic!!! Congrats 🎉🎈🎊🍾
Ha! Thanks so much Michelle! (Anna)

Why am I having these tears in my eyes? I’m only sitting in my couch drinking a beer...
Sorry about that! (Anna)
I was there in 2019. I wasn't anywhere near as fast as you... BUT.... I finished!!!
👍
That volunteer @15:57 is my favourite guy. Said the right thing at the right moment like a pro.

"Having that support from total strangers"... You nailed one of the absolute greatest parts of the whole experience. Bravo to you and everyone who took part in what was a magical day. Can't wait 'til next year.
The crowds were absolutely unreal. I have honestly never run a marathon like it. What an incredible day! (Anna)
As a parent I am not ashamed to say I've cried at the clips of those children ringing the bell. Great job on finishing and even greater job on running it for a good cause!
Thanks so much. It was emotional thinking about the wonderful work CWCUK Do while running (Anna)
That smile, cry, smile at the finish line. All feelings at the same time. Great work Anna 🏆🥇🏆

2022 NY marathon crew! obvioulsy scouring youtube for videos lol. Definately has me even more excited!
I was crying and laughing with you! That looked amazing and you were so honest about how it feels. Ran my first this year in Brighton (you guys really helped with my training). I said never again. Now I want to do another one 😳
Yessss Elaine! That makes me so happy to hear! Go go go! and congrats on Brighton 🙌 (Anna)
i adore you-your humility, joy and honesty are so refreshing! all of us mere mortals are inspired by you! brava!
Thanks so much Mary! As I said in the video, anyone can do it! It’s not easy, but it’s life affirming! (Anna)
Oh girl you made me cry, I also ran the race, the crowds were amazing and so supportive, I also ran for a cause, it was for autism, it was all well worth it, I’m still on cloud 9, and I also ran by the juggling guy lol, congratulations 🎉🎉🎉
Well done! Awesome!
It's so raw and beautiful
I’m starting back doing couch to 5K and this has really inspired me! My aim is to run a half before I’m 30 (next November) and then hopefully run the London marathon in 2021 😬 well done Anna you SMASHED IT 🥳🥳🥳
Thanks Abi! Glad you're inspired and wishing you all the best. Keep us posted about the HM and Marathon attempts!
Good luck! You got this!
Did you do it?? I'm just reading your comment now I wonder how did it go
@@runninggirl5077 I did indeed!
It really is special. I think everyone should run at least one marathon if they can! (Anna)
That is great news!! Wish you all the best with training!!
That was so emotional to watch. I know this is old now, but well done. You didn't just run a marathon, you were able to talk, even in the last mile. Inspiring.
I always cry at finish too. Congrats to you, Anna! I can't imagine vlogging during my struggles. 🤯
It’s tough. But I want everyone to see what it’s really like running a marathon and it wouldn’t be the same without the ugly crying 😂 (Anna)
Thanks Lee! So glad you liked it! (Anna)
Anna, I ran this race 10 years ago and watching your video just stirred up all these emotions in me. Truly inspiring and lovely video.
Thanks Alexander! It really is a very special race (Anna)
Just amazing. Made me very emotional watching it. I did the London marathon back I 2000 and 01. It's such a achievement and always such a great way to help a charity. Very well done.
this had me in tears the whole time. so inspiring, i wanna do it!
Lol, this is me at the end of 5k. 😭😭😭
Simply wow...
Can't wait to do my first marathon in April in Manchester. This was such a moving video 😭
Thanks Andy. Manchester is a great one, check out our marathon vids for loads of tips.
I'm doing that one too! My first, scared to death at this point....
(Anna)
I've watched this video four times, and every time I am in tears.
Congratulations Anna! Well done! You are such an inspiration. I was laughing and crying with you! Thank you for sharing xx
Thanks so much! (Anna)
this is it. this is the video that convinces me to actually try to run a marathon. that looks terrible but i really want to do it :")
🙌🙌🙌 that honestly makes me so happy! Good luck with the training (Anna)
Thank you so much 🙏🏼 it was my absolute pleasure to bring you along on the ride. It truly was an epic race (Anna)
Really captured the essence and emotion there. Massive well done Anna (and Ben). Wonderful cause too!
Thanks so much! 🙌 (Anna)
Very inspiring! I just startet running 5 weeks ago and getting from "I can´t run 1 min without breaking down" to "running 13,5km and feeling great about it". Now first time in my life I am thinking to join a half marathon and next year a marathon.
That is awesome!
I loved this!!!!! So happy you enjoyed it! I got all emotional as I was watching you. I hope to run the NYC marathon one day! Thank you sooo much for sharing your experience 😊
Thanks Ana! It’s a bucket list race for sure. An unreal day that I feel honoured and privileged to have been able to experience 🙌 (Anna)
Wow! Congrats on your first half marathon! That’s brilliant! And good luck with training for your first full one too! Happy running (Anna)
You are a special person and a special runner! Thank you for sharing your time with us!
Thank you 🙏🏼 (Anna)
Bravo Anna, well done!! Signed up for my second ever marathon in Paris in April! Very inspiring!
Super! Good luck with your training! Winter running can be so exhilarating! Embrace it (Anna)
You an amazing runner, I’ve been watching all you videos and I finally ran my half marathon and I can’t wait to sign up for others until I get ready to run a whole marathon
You are amazing! And YOU have inspired me to sign up for the Bristol Half next year with your vids. Cheers Anna
That’s amazing Rob! Thank you. And good luck with chasing your goal! We wouldn’t be the Running Channel without fantastic runners like you (Anna)
Amazing! Happy running Emily. The training is all part of the experience, so enjoy it! (Anna)
Congrats Anna!! I am very inspired by you and thank you for letting me feel how lucky I am now and will really run more marathon to help more people.❤️❤️❤️
Thank you ☺️
Well done Anna (and Ben).
Well done!
Thanks so much Adrian. It was a lot of fun to film this 🙌 (Anna)
Such a noble thing to do. Run for children. I have never ran a marathon in my life, I’m half crazy. But the thought of running for children with cancer is a huge motivation. My nephew lost his battle with cancer 3 years ago today. I will run one for him!! Thank you!!
Is it just me or does Anna have tendency to get emotional at races? Bless her
I’m a sensitive soul! It is honestly so overwhelming having so many strangers cheering you on and willing you to the end. I just can’t help it! (Anna)
The Running Channel It is a quality Anna. The world needs more sensitivity and positive emotion. Don’t ever stop
Absolutely! Never change, Anna
💜🤗
-Anna from North Dakota (USA)
Congrats on Chiswick. I know a couple of people who ran that. Looked great🙌 you should DEFINITELY sign up for a marathon! (Anna)
5:19 “Don’t drink beer and run.”
*PINNED: Anna Runs the Beerathon*
😬 wellllll. It was more of a warning from experience that it isn’t an easy thing to do! Haha! (Anna)
I'm sure I've heard this before during another Marathon..won't Anna learn? 😂
Nope 🤷🏻♀️ haha! (Anna)
Nothing new on race day Anna
I ran my first marathon after watching your Brighton video. You *are* amazing. I’ve just signed up for another after watching this... We got this 💪🏻
Wow, Emma. You’ll set me off crying again!! Seriously, I cannot tell you how happy that makes me. THANK YOU. And good luck! Not that you need it - you know the score. Happy running and I hope your training goes really really well (Anna)
Crying!! The feeling of finishing a marathon is indescribable.
My favorite episode of The Running Channel. The marathon is LIFE!!!
Thanks Wesley! Glad you enjoyed it! (Anna)
Anna is a good runner--she was carrying her phone and talking and it looked like she was passing most people.
😎
Thanks for sharing, great vid and congrats on your run.
Thanks so much. It was my pleasure to share my journey (Anna)
Great job Anna and Ben! My first marathon will be the All American Marathon in Fayetteville, NC March 2020. Setting my goal time to 4:27 to see if I can match Ben.
Thanks! And good luck with your training! (Anna)
Subscribed!
I'm not crying, YOU'RE crying!!! *sniff*
You’re truly inspirational and utterly amazing 🏃🏻♀️⚡️
and yes you do make me want to do a marathon so let’s hope I get a club place for VLM
But can I ask that you stop crying as you set me off every bluddy time 😖
😭
🥺🤣🥺
I'm not crying... you're crying!!!
Haha! I most certainly am! 😢 but happy crying! 🙌 (Anna)
"Tell me I can't" got me good too. Nothing drives you more than having someone doubt you.
new york city marathon is the best marathon, its everything best of new york, and the people of new york. congratulations Anna.
I’m running the Brighton Marathon in April which will be my first. I’ll take some inspiration and training tips from you 👍🏻😃
Ian 009 it was my first this year! You’ll have a great time. Train on hills and mentally prepare for the trudge up to the power station :)
Awesome! Good luck with it. It’s a great race. And Dan’s right - hills and mental strength. You’ve got this 💪 Happy running! (Anna)
Dan Runs Thanks for the advice!
The Running Channel Thanks Anna, keep up the good work 👍🏻
This looks so much fun. ive been running 5k every day and atleast once a week i do a 10k. i cant wait to try out a marathon. all the people watching i can imagine gives you so much extra energy
The crowds were incredible! (Anna)
Running a marathon has always been a fitness bucket list thing since I’m currently struggling to get through a 5k without walking a bit.
I’m ready to kick some marathon arse though. Gonna start training soon
Go get it 💪
I'm on the same journey. Just keep doing a bit at your own pace, don't hurt yourself, rest up to go again. However long that takes.
Ran into this content still in pandemic. Have a kiddo now too. Still love your marathon videos
Thankyou :)
It absolutely is ok! Congrats to you on your amazing achievements and thank you for watching (Anna)
I'm speechless after watching Anna run this marathon and vlog at the same time. I love NYC because it's where I first lived when I came to America. And I'm well aware of the importance of beating cancer. So this video was hitting me at many different levels. But above all, it was very inspirational.
