I absolutely adore this movie! I already loved the graphic novel and I was so happy when this movie got picked up to be finished! Tons of relatability, especially for queer folk.
A lot of it is religious. The director is dressed like a nun, Goldenloin is dressed in gold and white, even the Gloreth statue is like a guardian Angel. Even Nimona having dragon wings is supposed to paint her as a “demon”.. It makes sense that the Director was a conservative using her beliefs to target those who were born different.
