How to Use Your iPhone With a Broken Home Button

- In this video I'll show you how to use your iPhone when the home is broken or not responding. We got this iPhone as a replacement for one that failed under warranty. unfortunately the home button and Wi-Fi on this one are not functional so we took this opportunity to create a tutorial for anyone out there who can't use their phone due to a broken home button. Whether you are stuck on the activation screen or locked out of your phone because of a broken home button this video will show you a workaround. If your phone has a pass code just enter it after you tap on the virtual home button created through the assistive touch options in your settings menu.

Thank you for the video. My 9-year-old's iPad mini home button was broken and he was upset. I didn't want to have to replace it and repairing it would probably have cost so much as to not be worth it. I used this accessibility setting and he is happy again. I had no idea that was on there. Trust me guys this method just work for me!!!! I just did it today on iPhone 6s and it worked perfectly. The home button on my iPhone 7 stopped working so I did a factory reset as advised by the local repair store to see if the button would start working again. But then I couldn't open the iPhone to restore from iCloud backup because of the home button issue. This video saved my sanity and you sir are more knowleable than Apple Support. I called Apple and explained my situation. The support tech said the phone could not be unlocked for the backup restore and tried to sell me a new phone. My iPhone 7 is restoring from iCloud back up just fine right now, and you saved me a hundred bucks. The nerve of that guy at Apple Support. :( Bravo sir!

I got a 7+ that I use the assistive touch on due to my home button being non-functional,I thought when I factory reset it that it would delete but it didn’t,I’m like how is it still on here when you have to manually set it up🤔🧐

Thanks, really great method. Good way to make use of the phone after breaking the home button. What's cool is, you can even set it to do "Home" action on single tap so you don't have the extra step of opening menu and then navigating to home.

Theresa faster method if you dont have a home button and u need to pass the lock screen and u have a passcode then just press the power off button and to get to the passcoe thing the swipe up agaist the edge of the screen where the home botton should be and there sould be three dots i think but thats nkt important and ya
On my iphone I removed all the other options for assistive touch and just had the home button so you don't have to go through all the menu to go to home. I also did this with my ipad 2 but for power on/off button. I may make a ipad 2 repair series on my RUclips channel.

Can replace the home button if you want to but no touch id capability since it's already broken however iPhone 7 and 8 are irreplaceable..
