When this man mentions Europe he means the politicians. They are likely to be kicked out in the coming elections
Which politicians?
Nobody in Eastern Europe is going to vote for pro-Moscow MEPs, for obvious reasons. I think there's going to be a rightward shift due to the things that happened after Oct 7, but because of the Moscow situation I doubt it's going to go too far from the center.
@@VVayVVard Also definitely not in Nordic countries. Mediterranean could be different. But the right wing populists of Nordic countries and most of the Eastern Europe don't agree at all with pro-Putin populist appeasers.

Todays’s term for retreating from multiple locations is “changing dynamically”.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday in a statement that in the past 24 hours, it hit a warehouse where Western-made missiles are stored in Odessa, Ukraine.
The ministry further detailed that Russian troops took full control of the village of Ocheretino in the Donetsk People's Republic. It was also mentioned that Ukraine lost another Abrams tank.
This is good news. Победа праведной России -- да здравствует президент Путин!
@@ianspence7804 It's also "news" from a highly unreliable source. Россия должна немедленно уйти из Украины.
They also said it would take 3 days? How many F16's have they shot down that are not in Ukraine?

Why such controversy about Georgia's 'foreign agents' bill? Australia, one of the world's leading democracies, has the Foreign Influence Transparency Scheme Act 2018 which creates a registration scheme for foreign agents in Australia. The UK has the Foreign Influence Registration Scheme and the US has the Foreign Agents Registration Act. All these pieces of legislation are the same in essence as the Georgian bill.
Of course. Britain and the US don't want such a bill passed as they want to secretly meddle in Georgian politics to attempt to overthrow the government like they have done elsewhere.
I think the answer to your question is captured by the lack of responses to your comment. In short: hypocrisy
It makes perfectly sense to protect your country from foreign meddling.
Australia and democracy in one sentence???? What a load of bs.... The country where a retard far-left commie WEF terror brigade is in power and doing anything to demolish the remaining pieces of a once existed democracy.

Correct it was Russian oil infrastructure that was hit first that the West were in massive celebration about then Russia retaliates and they are really surprised.
Nor do they mention how Ukraine radicals burned 46 protestors alive in 2014; nor attacks on civilians by Ukraine; nor how the West consciously planned to break the Minsk 1 and Minsk 2 agreements, which were intended to find compromise and prevent escalation -- including war.

Ukraine can join the EU. Cyprus is occupied by Turkish troops with a demilitarized zone separating two parts of the country and there hasn't been a peace treaty since it started in 1974. Cyprus joined the EU despite this. At a certain point in this situation it may be that it is sufficiently settled that they can join, for instance if Ukraine takes back Crimea leaving only Donetz occupied.
Ukraine can join the EU, it was in a peaceful plan with Russia in 2022. But Ukraine is not needed in the EU, Ukraine is needed in NATO. But Russia will not allow this anymore.
@@burritosls Membership of NATO can't happen if part of the country is occupied because of Article 5. EU membership is important to Ukraine's economy if it wants to have money to defend itself. I don't think anything will happen until the war is over. My opinion is that the West has an opportunity to whittle down the Russian military until Russia is not a threat to anyone and that we will see Crimea taken back starting this summer and then a continuation of the attrition in the east of the country until Russia loses so many troops it cannot continue.
Crimea is a part of Russia now and any attempts on it may warrant a nuclear response
But why can Ukraine join but Turkey and Macedonia can't?

I am puzzled about the FPV drones and how such a small, low speed warhead can damage a heavily armoured vehicle like a tank. I understand that the armour is thicker at the front of a tank and that a small charge in an open hatch can kill anyone inside the vehicle. I don't understand why a bit of a cage or shed structure is so effective against the drones and yet a chunk of reactive armour is not. Could one of the guys in the know explain?
The _"chunk of reactive armor"_ remains the most efficient protection - the _"cage"_ helps a lot by releasing the punch energy of the bomb carried by a drone, much earlier so it looses its momentum to penetrate the main armor (the bomb's directed jet splash gets wasted outside the armor)
quick correction on the last phrase of my Ukrainian colleague in London: a memo of understanding may very well be, in international law, a binding document. this classification depends on the formulations and intent displayed there.
the security agreements do contain some obligatory clauses, for sure. the main pb remains though that the collective west is not eager of offering Ukraine strong security guarantees as such.

certainly Western allies shoooting down Iranian missiles on behalf of Israel while doing next to nothing for Ukraine directly is appalling, I simply can not understand the inidfference of Western governments on this issue of shooting down Russian missiles conducting war crimes in Ukraine, nor why the Liberal government of Justin Trudeau in Canada announces that Canada will not meet the 2% of GDP that it is recommended that NATO countries spend on defense - considering the history of short funding, I would expect our goverment to aim higher that 2% to account for the deferred spending as there are serious problems ahead for which we need to prepare ourselves, commendations to the UK government for putting itself on a war economy as this strikes me as the absolutely correct thing to do in the current circumstances.
I think the indifference/ reason to help isreal and not ukraine is very simply explained.
Western leaders inspite of what they say as politicians, know russia will not march into nato if it beat ukraine. The second being to intercept russian missiles they need to have troops and planes in ukraine, this will eventually lead to nato troops being killed as well as russians by each other, this will lead to a russia nato conflict. Russia will loose and inspite of everyone saying they won't use nukes once nato started marching to Moscow western leaders know russia will use nukes.
(Also I know mention of small groups of say English troops to help with storm shadows and such) small numbers helping in support rolls is nothing like front line troops/pilots actively striking and being hit...

The Second Western Military District Court has received the files of the criminal case against former Ukrainian First Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Yarema, who is charged with aiding terrorism, the court's electronic database shows.
Yarema is also charged with knowingly spreading false information about the Russian armed forces. He will be tried in absentia.
Yarema served in the Ukrainian police until 2005, and then retired with the rank of lieutenant general. He held the office of a Ukraine's first deputy prime minister from February 27 to June 19, 2014. He was then appointed Ukraine’s prosecutor general, holding the position until February 10, 2015.
It was reported in December 2022 that the Russian Interior Ministry put Yarema on a wanted persons list as he was charged in absentia for the unlawful decision to start a counterterrorism operation in Donbass.

The support for Ukraine is dwindling.
No evidence of that in British polls. Not sure about elite opinion though. The West was willing to protect Israel more than Ukraine despite Ukraine having vast natural resources including 20% of the worlds titanium. Russia will use control of these resources against the West like it used energy. They will control 44% of global grain market if they conquer Ukraine.
Make Odessa Catherine the Great's again.
Good reporting, but it seems clear that all Nato countries should institute conscription. They must mobilize or pay the terrible price soon, as the Russians are singularly focused on annexation of more territory. If they do not explicitly mobilize and expand air and electronic warfare capacities, Russia will move on Svalbard and the PRC on Taiwans Island's in the Straight.

The Russian Interior Ministry has put Ukraine’s Ground Forces Commander Alexander Pavlyuk on a wanted persons list, according to the ministry’s database.
A database entry says Poroshenko is wanted for a criminal offense, without naming specific charges.
Pavlyuk was appointed Ground Forces commander on February 11. Prior to that, he was the first deputy defense minister of Ukraine. The Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against Pavlyuk after he gave orders to block humanitarian corridors and use civilians as a human shield in Mariupol.
