  • I recorded my desk during a recent Carving Class.
I plan on re-doing this video in the near future to create a shorter, clearer, more focused tutorial, but this should at least help a few people until then.

MrMlleAnima the knife comes from Warren Cutlery and it’s my favorite. It’s inexpensive and has replaceable blades, which are made of high enough quality steel to sharpen. I’ve had the same knife since 2006.

Sadly your dominant hand is often out of shot so although we eventually see it flashing in and out its disruptive to the flow.but it is an informative video for sure and you articulate the process really well. Thanks.

Linda Douglas, indeed. I plan to do an updated video soon. This one was recorded during a class I was teaching and my hand was out of the shot frequently to show students what I was doing. However, every time it is, i show the same hand position to the camera. Nothing that happens outside of the frame is something that isn’t also shown on camera.
I will replace this video soon with one made specifically for the camera, which will be shorter and more focused.

I checked a lot of handbooks with woodworking plans. Instructions from woodprix are the best I think.
