HOWEVER, when I was in college, it was cheaper to come to WVU and pay out-of-stste tuition than to go to any in-state school in PA. This is an Oregon initiative of rural Oregon citizens who feel their voices are not being heard politically and want to merge with Idaho where most rural Oregon citizens align with more politically. Basically, the more Right leaning rural Oregon people are not being heard or represented by the more Left leaning western Oregon citizens. Similarly, California Left leaning overpower the Right leaning citizens, so they feel their voices are not being heard politically. And the answer is not always "move away if you don't like it," unfortunately.
Oregon is dominated by I-5 -- Portland, Salem, Albany, Eugene. People east of the Cascades are getting pretty pissed. So is the south coast, although it's not quite as much that I've observed.
Isn't this basically exactly that though? But instead of moving themselves, they're moving the state and massively redrawing electoral college votes and districts. And would the people who support this be as equally supportive if the major cities of Texas left and formed their own entity or entities? And Idaho was made a distinct entity to protect Washington, Oregon and California from the Confederates. So without Boise the west coast wouldn’t have been able to grow the way it did. You’re welcome.

If we start rearranging state borders to conform to voting populations, it'd be chaos, and you'd end up with California wanting to be 4 states... they already do and have tried to break into 2-4 parts since the 90s. Trust me, you don't want 3 ultra-liberal Coastal Californian states (SanFran, LA, and San Diego) and 1 mildly conservative Eastern California state.

I was about to make a suggestion for a different playlist for each state, but then I realized just how much of a headache that would be to maintain, and the fact would be that you would be adding videos to multiple playlists and sometimes retroactively. Not to mention that if you ever had to take a video down, it would make every playlist somewhat invalid and until you removed that video from the playlist. So, while it's a nice idea, I completely understand why that's not the case. That being said, as somebody from Idaho, it's nice to see a video about Idaho.

that's because its not, moving state borders, even just a few feet is incredibly complex forget moving them the hundred or so MILES that this plan would call for, and the whole thing would cost Idaho literally billions of dollars to buy all that land from Oregan, NEITHER state legislature is even talking about it

While it fell through, it was still talked about for quite some time last year. I should know since I live in Idaho. As an Idahoan, I have to admit that I completely forgot that this was a serious thing the two states were discussing 😂
that's because its not, moving state borders, even just a few feet is incredibly complex forget moving them the hundred or so MILES that this plan would call for, and the whole thing would cost Idaho literally billions of dollars to buy all that land from Oregan, NEITHER state legislature is even talking about it

While it fell through, it was still talked about for quite some time last year. I should know since I live in Idaho. Plus, a simple online search pulls up dozens of pages of informaiton on the movement.
