Finally a video from you after months!

For everyone having trouble to get the pose morph tag to work, be sure to export your object without a subdivision surface on it. You can apply it afterwards. And always export a frame range starting at 0 because of the cloth simulation otherwise the alembic has no animation.

Thank you for teaching me how to use the alembic! so fundamentally important

Very useful. I'll share with my team. I got a lack of movement in the middle section but the end does match the beginning. I didn't start with 300 frames and probably did some inaccurate math along the way.

any suggestions on setting this up so I can loop out my section indefinatly. I am trying to setup a flag animation that needs to go into another scene. That other scene has 3 segments, an intro, a loop, and an outro, i would like to be able to loop this one section of frames 3 times, but am drawing a blank as to how to do that.

Thanks for the tip! Isnt this easier to achieve to use the point cache tag though? Cache the animation with it, then set it to loop twice and adjust blending to 50%

Maybe it is! Point cache is very handy and often forgotten. My hope is that simulation cache is extended to be part of point cache, after all they perform a similar function.

Point cache video from 2009! Definitely in need of an update.

@@Helloluxx Yeah would be great to have a global cache tag, similar to what xparticles has
