  • In this Cinema 4D Xpresso tutorial, we will make use of the Trigonometric node, in conjunction with some User Data, to create a camera rig, that automatically frames the objects in our scene, based upon the positions of two objects within in it.
My thanks go to the following people, all of whom have been kind enough to buy me a coffee:

Hey Julian :) I know it's off topic to the video but,
Is there a way or a plugin to drag n drop images into C4D. I'm working on a motion comic, which requires me to extensively use png images as planes with alphas.
Instead of creating a plane, apply image as tex in luminance + alpha, then adjust the U & V percentage to match aspect ratio?
P.S : I already used bitmap node in Xpresso to input dimensions to a rectangle spline (+ 0 offset extude) and a math node to calculate the aspect ratio. But this setup is all tedious process for the volume of images that I''ll have to use.
I just feel like dragging and dropping images into C4D's view port, should automatically create a plane and apply it as transparent texture to it with right aspect ration. Just like after effects. (I can't use after effects for this as the animation needs to be a FBX for it to be interactive on the web).
    Thanks in advance!

Interesting. I don't know of any plugins that can do this, but there ought to be one! Might be worth asking Chris Schmidt, from Rocket Lasso. He is a true plugin developer and might be prepared to make something like this, as there could well be a market for it.

HI Nani, check out this plugin, from Mike Udin - I think it pretty much, does what you need: mikeudin.net/product/images-to-planes-importer/. Hope this helps! I have also been experimenting and have come up with something that I will make a tutorial video for, so keep coming back!
