    I love how Raphael says he only has time for a little quicktip and then drops a 20 minute knowledge bomb. Legend.

    Great tutorial, as always. I would love if you could show the light setup you do for these demonstrations. And maybe, a dedicated video about them, I mean, if you use different ones in each tutorial, talk a little about how each one affects them and is done according to what you want to show.
    Thank you very much

    • @SilverwingVFX

      Thank you very much for your great answer Andy.
      True that. My lighting setups are mostly remarkably simple. But that does not mean they don´t deserve to be shown. Maybe I should do at least one tut about lighting. Solid hint there. Thank you 🙌

    • @AndySilvaCinema4D
      @AndySilvaCinema4D 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@SilverwingVFX Thanks. In fact. Your samples in the videos are extremely realistic (like plastic, metal, etc.) And I know that lighting plays a large part in this. It would be interesting, as it adds to your unique style of showing how to achieve realistic results.
      Thank you very much!

    Hi, I remember reading a comment saying that morning coffee tastes better after this, can't agree more haha, brain juice and food for thought best combo to survive Mondays, and thank you for sharing, yes the geometry plays a huge factor in our perception, and if there's not enough details it makes things feel plastic-y, i always fall in that trouble convincing myself by saying I'll add details later 😂
    i have some thoughts on the satin material, my setup is similar to yours but i use a falloff node in the diffuse channel
    but as always, bangers no misses, wish you a blissed week and wonderful day 🌟

    • @SilverwingVFX
      @SilverwingVFX  10 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for your super nice reply Zaidi 🙌
      Ha ha yeah I pinned that comment about the coffee last week 📌 as I really liked it!
      Yeah a good 3D scene is always a combination of great shaders, geometry and lighting.
      With lighting a bit of back lighting always makes stuff look so much better!
      Thank you for your input on the satin material. Ohhh yes, I have done that falloff in the past too. Definitely a valid option!
      Thanks so much for your support and that you like my content.
      Highly appreciated!
      Cheers and a good start into, and a great week to you as well ✨

      @@SilverwingVFX Hey, quick question: how do you add a pin or dot in the middle of a node wire to better sort it? (Similar to the "dot" in Substance Designer) I've been trying to figure it out for about an hour now and it's driving me crazy. Please help man lol

    • @SilverwingVFX
      @SilverwingVFX  10 месяцев назад

      @@bulba1561 I know them as reroute.
      I thin this might not be possible in Octane.
      Have you ever seen them in practice?
      I think you are not crazy. I think they just don´t exist.

    • @bulba1561
      @bulba1561 10 месяцев назад +1

      It must have been in a dream. Wouldn't it be a nice feature in octane though?@@SilverwingVFX

    Amazing tutorial as always 👕 I noticed that you barely use the sliders in Octane, you always put in round numbers. Is that how you usually work or are you just doing that in the tutorials to make them more easy to follow along?

    • @SilverwingVFX
      @SilverwingVFX  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hey hey and thank you very much for your comment and question.
      Yeah. That´s my OCD right there ha ha ha 😅
      I really work this way. I always liked the clean numbers as an indicator that I set the value and not accidentally brushed over it. Also it´s far more easy to memorize for me 😊😇
