    Rear seat legroom on the Ridgeline is best in class in my opinion. More space than Colorado/Canyon, Tacoma, Ranger, and Frontier. I’ve sat in them all.

      totally agree, the higher seating position really helps. in a crew cab colorado i was looking at, i had to have the driver seat low so i could see around the mirror. at 6’ tall that forced me to move the seat back leaving abiut 6 inches between the seats in the back.

      I'm a long time Toyota Tacoma owner.
      I bought a 2023 Honda Ridgeline.
      The RTL is 8,000 dollars less than equivalent 2024 SR5 off road.

    Short bed for the class? I guess it's shorter than other beds except for the Ford Maveric, Hyundai, Colorado, Canyon etc. The Ridgeline bed is at least 4 inches longer than all the other small/midsize trucks. Try doing your homework.

    • @bikebudha01

      The height is very shallow though which makes fitting stuff under a tonneau cover difficult. In fact the Maverick's bed has the same volume in spite of being a much smaller truck. The new Ranger's bed is wider and quite a bit larger overall.

    Wow! You haven't done much homework before reviewing the truck.
    The Ridgeline starting at 39,750 is no longer an expensive segment in its class. That goes to Tacoma, Colorado, Canyon, and ripoff Ranger
    The equivalent Tacoma to Standard RTL is 50,000 dollar Limited or higher trim SR5 off road at 49,000 dollars.
    Wow! You haven't sat in the rear seat of Tacoma and Frontier.
    You can pretty much call them leg cramping leg space.😂
    The other midsize trucks mostly come with 5ft bed. The Ridgeline comes with 5.4 ft bed standard on all models.
    The Ridgeline bed is the biggest in its class. The Ridgeline bed has more sqft than the Tacoma or the Frontier.
    Ridgeline also has 400 pounds of more payload than the Tacoma.
    Rookie! 😂

      Mostly correct, but the Ridgeline bed is not biggest in class. Thanks to how shallow it is, volume is actually the same as the Maverick. Ranger has the biggest bed right now for a short bed, a little wider and significantly deeper than the Ridgeline. The 2024 Tacoma's payload is also higher than before, up to 1700 pounds, though in most configurations it will be a bit less than the Ridgeline.

    I love my 2010 Ridgeline. I was so excited to have it upgraded that I put a deposit down and pre-ordered the 2016 redesign, not realizing that they totally f*ck up the Truck. No more flatbed lights, a flatbed speaker system I could not care less about, no more full sized spare, less ground clearance, smaller tires, the once large ample trunk replaced with a Golf club trunk. All shoved into an effete and uninspired, we have no faith in our own product, cab and bed appearance (without the utility of actually being cab and bed) on, what remained, a unibody. I refused the truck when it arrived and fought with the dealership about my deposit - until someone made an offer on it while in the midst of arguing with the manager (wherein he agreed to refund). I’m still using the 2010 - it’s getting very long in the tooth. I would love to get a Ridgeline that’s not a major downgrade - perhaps a pre-2016 used in good condition? I could easily afford new but Honda seems unwilling the fix their mistakes.

      I like the Gen 1 better as well. The bed isn't as nice, but the interior is roomier and designed much more appropriate for a truck. Honda phoned this one in, but it's hard to blame them when you look at Ridgeline sales numbers over the years.

    I have a 2022. I recommend you run out and buy a 2023. Why? The armrests and center console on the current gen are superior to the new 2024 'abomination' of a new center console. Otherwise, hands down the best mid-size truck on the market. One of the giant reasons is "USABLE SPACE". It's wider than all other mid-size trucks, and it shown in both the interior and the bed. This is the only mid-size truck that you can lay a 4x8 sheet of plywood FLAT in the bed. It's also got gobs of space in the front seat (I'm 6'-4", plenty of head and shoulder room, decent leg room). And the back seat, my god the space in the back seat. Not only will ADULTS sit comfortably, but the seats fold so flat in the up position. I can squeeze two full size bikes back there (with the front wheels taken off). Then there's the in-bed trunk. No longer do my groceries get tossed around in the bed on the way home from the grocery store. And of course there's the super comfy ride. Don't believe me? Test drive one...

    This thing needs a redesign so bad..... the Ford Maverick is arguably made like crap and has a hybrid option and sells like crazy because people don't want to spend $70,000 on a full-size truck the market has shown this the last two years the Ridgeline could have killed it in this segment but they continue to have while a pretty good car one that is supremely outdated

    • @plmn93

      So far the Maverick has been one of the most reliable trucks on the road. It sells great because it's what people expect in a unibody pickup...inexpensive and great economy while still looking like a truck inside and out. The first gen Ridgeline was a pretty good design but it cost too much, got full-size fuel mileage, and the styling wasn't for everybody. This second gen they phoned in, putting a bed on a Pilot and calling it a day. Understandable since it has never sold well, but disappointing considering how much potential is in the concept.

    • @bikebudha01

      @@plmn93 wow, the mav has been out for what 2 whole years, and you are calling it reliable? The ridgeline enegine has a proven history of hitting over 200,000 miles. they aren't playing on the same field. Also, the mav is tiny. in every possible way. interior cab, back seats, and bed.

    • @plmn93
      @plmn93 23 дня назад

      @@bikebudha01 You obviously haven't been in a Maverick. Its bed is the same volume as the Ridgeline and the interior is roomier than most midsize trucks. Of course, it's not quite as large or capable as the Ridgeline, but it costs a lot less and gets a lot better gas mileage. And that's why it's been a huge success while the Ridgeline has been a sales disappointment for nearly twenty years now. As for reliability, this generation of Ridgeline has had its share of serious issues. Torque converters and the VCM system are two examples.

    • @bikebudha01
      @bikebudha01 23 дня назад

      @@plmn93 of course I've been in both. The mav has tiny front seats, and the back seats are only for kids you don't like and want to punish. and the mav bed is not only tinier, but it has the wheel wells taking up most of the space in the bed. The ridgeline bed allows for a 4x8 sheet of plywood TO LAY FLAT. The rear seats of the ridgeline allow full size adults to sit in comfort. And the rear seats fold up flat, leaving a flat floor. I can get two full size bikes in there (with the front wheels off). No way in hell you can do that with in a mav. As for the gas mileage, that's only for the 4x2 version. Sorry, 4x2 doesn't cut it. As for price, if you spec out a mav to have the same features, the Ridgeline is only $3-4k more expensive. Sure, if you need a tiny, plastic, 4x2, cheap truck - the mav is great (and for some, that is all they need). But the ridgeline is a more comfortable ride. Is better built. Has more useful bed, and rear storage. Is hands down the better option.
