Hearing his and others life story has made me appreciate my family and upbringing so much more. Thanks Alex, I hope that one day you find peace and joy and happiness.
Such a hard start in life for him as a child. I feel heartbroken for these kids who dont get a chance to shine bright. I can see he is a kind hearted man and he would be an amazing mentor to younger kids. I hope he gets the chance to help others because he definitely has what it takes to inspire and empower those vulnerable kids.
Man thats tough. But its true man your kids will always fail to listen to you but they will never fail to imitate you. Then you will hate it when you see it in your kids. As a man sows so shall he reap. Ye if you turn, you will be a vessel for honor Alex. God bless you.
I had the same thing with my younger brother and it used to bother the hell outa me! But then as I grew older I realised that he was just looking up to me and trying to be like me, while I felt that he was copping the bad stuff that I did to fit in.. We have never really talked about the deep shit aside one time when we had both taken LSD and MDMA and I could then talk openly but I can’t say shit when I’m sober.. My brain shuts down when I try. (I can’t find my words and I freeze, I think it is some kind of self defence mechanism that is fucked up)
What a candid and heartbreaking story. Thank you for giving these fellow brothers and sisters in humanity a 'voice' that can be heard around our world. This man has a good soul. It can be seen in his eyes. I hope and pray that he manages to claw his way out of the mire he was born into and becoes someone who can use his life experiences to educate others.
It is so sad to see how the system perpetuates the problem. How do you expect a 12 year old, after being drugged with heroin at 10, to stay 6 years in juvee and come out at 18 ready to excel in society? I feel good in him, hope he gets sober and trails a better path for himself, although it be much harder with the cards he has dealt with...there is still time my man!
@@mikebetancourt6403 definitely is society but also society perpetuating the corrupt system. Both to blame. She’s saying the system isn’t helping it’s keeping it going. And people born into the cycle will have a bigger climb. Also, higher reward if they become aware.
@@mikebetancourt6403 Of course the culture is to blame, but the system facilitates that same culture and even perpetuates that culture exponentially. Notice how he said in the interview that a prison number was a badge of honor? If the system effectively dissuaded that culture, the last thing these individuals would want is a prison number. Prison should actually correct the action that landed the individual a prison sentence, not magnify that same behavior and force individuals to participate.
I was in a motorcycle accident a few years ago. My first roommate After the ICU was a guy with burns over 80% of his body. He was in a coma for 3 months. Good Morning Eyes!! Its just after 3:00 here where its currently 35. As always, I sent good vibes & mad, mad Love to you. I hope youre keeping warm!! 🤟🙃❤🩹
I've watched quite a few of the SWU episodes, and I don't think I have ever been so interested in wanting to know more about someone and their story. And also have a deep sadness for someone within the 1st 2 minutes of an episode before. He reminds me of my X husband by the way he was introduced to drugs. At 7 years old he was given heroin....and then became the gangs mule you could say. Because they would use the fact that he would be dope sick and that he would get something to take that edge off "IF" he did what they told him to do! IT"S SO SICKENING AND TERRIBLE THAT SOME KIDS HAVE TO START LIFE THIS WAY. After many years of being an addict he finally was able to sober up and start living at 43yrs old, although not after losing so much. I hope the best for all addicts that they can find it within themselves to get sober and live a life beyond their wildest dreams.... BECAUSE IT IS POSSIBLE, ODAAT ✌💜🙃🙏
Thank you for posting this. I myself am 33 yrs of age. Started using drugs at age 12 became a heroin addict at the age of 17. Went through everything a junkie goes through. Raised in Dallas Texas and have been all over Texas running from myself. I'm now in San Francisco two months clean. Tonight was one of those nights just reading your message lofted my spirits Thank you

It is so sad to hear his story because he really never had a chance somebody needs to stop that mold maybe one day he will be able to turn young kids away from the gangs I pray for him I love his story you know it makes me look at gangsters in a different light because of my mind they just wanted to be in a gang I didn't realize it's so many of them were born into it
Wish you luck brotha Alex! There's a different side of life that needs your help to guide others to another way to living. The pitfalls of life knowledge can never be taken from you or changed. BUT it can be used to help others navigate though the treacherous terrain.💯
Hey there Anthony I hope you get to read this message. I’m really sorry for your loss may your son rest in paradise. I know you didn’t had an easy life and in some defining moments you never had an opportunity to chose a different path however your life may have an even bigger purpose and impact than you’ve ever imagined. Life is hard and hard things will always happen to everyone of us but this time you do have an option. Choose to be someone, tell all the other kids everything you would’ve love to hear when you were younger and you’ll change and prevent so many tragic things that your mind won’t even be able to comprehend. Serve a bigger purpose, bigger than your own existence. Even chaos can create beauty and I really think you have the opportunity to create something beautiful by telling your story and helping other kids who might be thinking that gang banging is the way. Do it for yourself, do it for your kid and do it for all of the other people who never got to make it to where you are. I don’t know you and probably never will but I just want you to know that I really wish you the best with Al my heart. Keep striving brother, always.
I don't know if the Northsiders hit his son cuss they thought he was a DO. But there is a big south side hood from LA that has a click over there in Stockton called PBS. Playboys 13. The SUR goes at it hard with the northern hoods
I hope Alex can find peace in his life. He deserves to make a turn in his life for the better and use his lessons to help other people avoid the path he took. I wish him the best.
Good luck Anthony great interview Mark please keep them coming. This is very insightful. I wish Anthony nothing but the best prayers from San Antonio Texas.💯❤️

Who the f**k is Alfredo, homie😂
What an amazing human being! And I love this concept. Thank you for putting in all the work. Love from Norway
Wanting to be like your dad isn't always a good thing .. so sad
You’re honesty & experiences can touch lives. I’m so glad to listened to your story. I pray that God will you show the path that will bring guidance & support to others in your situation. You have a way with sharing. You can inspire many. You’re story’s not over.
Be grateful for what you have in your life and never take it for granted.
Alex, I'm so sorry about your son. I know, as a parent myself, it kills you a little more each day, but Plz try to use it as a stepping stone to get a clean life and be an example for the rest of your kids, in honor of him. You can do it, as long as there is breath in your body, there is Always hope. Take care ❤️💎 Rip Steven 😥💔🕊🕊🕊🕊
Hey Pam! 👋😁 Top-o-the Morning to ya. ☘️ Yeah, that’s tough what happened to Alex’s first son. I can’t imagine. Hope he takes your advice.
Pretty sure there's no hope being a soldier for Mexican Mafia
I hope everything goes well for him. Changing is hard but not impossible.
I appreciate this man being so honest with himself. I think he has the potential to help many others like he dreams to do. Maybe this video is the the first day of his dreams coming true. Keep staying true to yourself homie.
Don’t give up man, I am 51 starting over with nothing but debt / no friends or family, but all a man can do is try & hope for things to get better, & just maybe/ just maybe, we can find peace one day ☮️
Heard you on JRE today and had to subscribe! You hit me in the feels when you talked about the love of your amazing mother ♥️♥️
Very likeable guy. Wishing him the best.
Omg… my heart bleeds for this man. Our kids should never go first. This happened to my sister in 21. She lost her mind. He’s been through a shit ton.
Intelligent, handsome, tuff, and gentle! God bless you and go forth and help the lost desperate gang members!!!! You are redeemable and loved.
I wish I could give him a hug, especially seeing how hurt he was about his son and his dreams.
I feel for this man. If I can grant you peace, brother, I would. I hope you find your knowledge to help others. Sending you 💓
Heartbreaking!! My prayers are with you and your family God bless
Alex,i’m a30 year herion addict from sheffield 🏴,i’ve never been in a gang at all but i lose friends constantly now (i’m 51) so i can only imagine what you’re going through with loosing Stephen/steven ? i love the fact that you want to give back👍,the fact you do is quite amazing itself,as you know it’s going to be hard as F……..K but you need to stop the drugs if you really want to help,no judgement just my opinion 🙂,i wish you the BEST man, stay safe !!.

Good Night to ya from 6:15am NYC 🇺🇸
What's a fammie? Another commenter was using that word.
@@guillermomontoyo probably short for family
Sending a healing hug to you! I have faith that you most definitely can be a mentor to kids who are similar. Bless up!
This is a person in society. Not a cashier, teacher, doctor, senator... Real person. Average. Average. Normal society. 🙏
Footage and interview is approaching profound at times. Really good stuff. In another life, I’ve literally met more guys like this than I can count in so-cal facilities (nothing discounted from his story). I mean gang encouraged Hispanic men being fed heroin at a very young age
I may be over looking it, not seeing a telegram tag though. Only a gofundme link. Could you copy and paste?
Rip to his son who was murdered. Heart wrenching.
Hope this dude pulls through! Would be good to see a guy like this as a councilor for the kids, so they don't go down the same path like he said!
La puente native here and all I can say is that it’s active here and it was active back then. This Og lived it
It is never ever too late to turn a new leaf, and you're never "too far gone" to turn it around.
It's not to late Alex, to be that man you wish you could have been. It's never too late. May the lord be with you brother.
Good Morning Y’all!👋🤓or whatever time it is where you are. Peace and Love from 6:00am Brooklyn NY 🇺🇸 to all my SWU fam around the world 🌍

Waddup Gram, I'm smokin up too 🥳 have a great frickin morning fammie
Alex you ARE a good man. That is obvious. God bless you my brother.
Good man? A murderer is a good man??
Congrats on getting on Joe Rogan big man super proud of you
I wonder if they use the same guys from other channels because I’ve seen him on prank videos
Tonight was one of those nights just reading your message lofted my spirits
Thank you
What a hard, rough life💔😢
He needs to talk to Asriah !!!! He's been through it and Asriah needs his guidance from someone who's been thru it, plus she has children and with Alex's experience, it can help her.
It is so sad to hear his story because he really never had a chance somebody needs to stop that mold maybe one day he will be able to turn young kids away from the gangs I pray for him I love his story you know it makes me look at gangsters in a different light because of my mind they just wanted to be in a gang I didn't realize it's so many of them were born into it
This is my tio I never talked to him in my life, but I hope he does better
Wow, awesome story! Alex, thanks for the honesty and vulnerability.
Wish you luck brotha Alex!
There's a different side of life that needs your help to guide others to another way to living.
The pitfalls of life knowledge can never be taken from you or changed. BUT it can be used to help others navigate though the treacherous terrain.💯
Great interview! I hope he gets to help others not get involved in the gang life! I see the potential!
the way he talked about his son broke my heart 💔 he looks so disappointed in himself .
Sad thing is, most gang are on government assistance and brink of being homeless if not already.
That's the truth they should show.
Alex you are LOVED… Love & respect to you from Chicago.
Dam big dog i feel for you.....thank you for the powerful message 😔🙏
I don't know if the Northsiders hit his son cuss they thought he was a DO. But there is a big south side hood from LA that has a click over there in Stockton called PBS. Playboys 13. The SUR goes at it hard with the northern hoods
The tear drops and that black hand..this man was nothing to play with
I'VE NEVER HEARD OF THIS BIG HOMIE
mayb gota calentada .. homie dropped out
What do the tear drops and black hand represent? Genuinely curious.

I hope Alex can find peace in his life. He deserves to make a turn in his life for the better and use his lessons to help other people avoid the path he took. I wish him the best.
Hope someday you find peace of mind Alex... thank you for sharing. I'm so sorry for your loss.
Good luck Anthony great interview Mark please keep them coming. This is very insightful. I wish Anthony nothing but the best prayers from San Antonio Texas.💯❤️
We need to see more of him, and go more in depth on his stories you can see it in his face he’s been through ALOT
"Time, you can't recover". That's deep.
You can still live a good peaceful life man, hope you do, you deserve it. Seems like you have a good heart. Best of luck. I live in La Puente, hope to run into you one day. Stay up bro, I’ll be praying for you ‼️‼️‼️
Did he have a choice? Very hard to say when that’s all you know..
Life is tough
Some get a head start in the race of life while others just he left behind with no starting line to be found and on dark road with no light to be found..
Man heart hurts because I can relate on a tough upbringing
Bruh I got a huge business idea that I made all preliminary work on already. A trillionaire worldwide business plan to help all no matter who they are. If you’re interested I need a business partner or co owner!!! Best to you God bless!!
We all have choices! !
@@tigerblood213 My wife's mom abused and tortured my wife's little sister since a baby because she resembled her father. She hated her. The worse was when she stuck heroin in her vein at 12yrs old. She became addicted. As an adult, she prostituted (homeless) in Compton, CA to get drugs etc. she passed away 2 years ago. Vehicle hit her and the report was labeled a homicide (currently unsolved). Not every case is the same. Marlene never had a choice. Or so, I believe.
awesome channel just heard about it on JRE !
Poor guy, I hope he makes it

Poor guy? You feel sorry for a murderer?
