I didn’t visit this town when I was there last summer, which is a shame. I probably like the first property the most, followed by the third. The first is a great space and a blank sheet. The third, the fabric of the building, the kitchen and bathrooms are to my taste, so I wouldn’t need to do anything major. I love the idea of living in the countryside but I also love the idea of walking out the front door and straight to a cafe and shops, plus an apartment requires far less maintenance and you can easily just lock the front door and go travelling. As I get older and imagine myself ageing, I am less keen on having acres of land and particularly wary of having to drive at night.
As much as I love the possibilities of #1, house #2 is the winner for the garden and the lower level possibilities. it's location is perfect too.

2nd property is very impressive, with good materials as you say, also I think fairly priced. This property was taken off idealista quite quickly, so snapped up I am guessing. Lovely terrace and having your own garden with citrus trees kinda exotic, also another option is creating another small apartment below. Great property. I think this one is a rare find.
Thank you for your informative video and showing the delicious treats in store for those who visit the town of Orio. We love the 2nd apartment, the way the light cones into it and the star vaulted ceilings. It’s been renovated well with the added bonus of the balcony which led down to the garden, quite unique. We noticed fruit growing well. Does the sun stay long in the garden? The other houses in the neighbourhood with small plants outside all looked appealing. 😊❤

I so enjoy your video tours of Italian housing for sale. So much so that I'm definitely wanting to pursue applying for Italian citizenship (my paternal grandparents were born & raised in Sicily) plus starting yet again learning Italian. Thank you so much for all the inspiration. My husband and I did a tour of Puglia in 2022 and fell in love with that area of Italy. I will keep you in my "resource" file when we return to Italy to scout property probably in 2025.
I made my appointment for citizenship with the San Francisco consulate over 2 years ago & just completed the process last month. I assume the wait is similar regardless of the consulate
you apply through. The sooner you make your appointment the better. You can complete the application and gather all the required documentation subsequent to reserving your appointment.

I ❤ property 2 and 3. Does either property 2 or 3 come furnished? It would be interesting to know the annual property taxes for the properties you are showing. Also, wifi accessibility, frequency of power outages, and the source of water. We retired to the coast of Ecuador. These are issues that effect us on the coast of Manabi. I want to relocate to southern Italy. The most beautiful country in southern Europe.

How come the streets look so deserted in most of your videos? It makes it look like no one lives there. Like your videos but it would be nice to see more of the people who actually live there.
This was filmed on a weekday early morning in February, in a historic area, mostly residential, closed off to automobile traffic. Working age people are working, pensioners are chilling in cafes or at home, and it’s not tourist season yet.
But what jobs are available in this region?
Is Oria one of the towns in Southern Italy that qualifies for the expat special tax exemption?
Yes, it is under 20k in population.
