    Is it safe to use silicon grease or is caliper grease recommended?

    Do you need to actually bleed the front brakes when doing all of this or is the ‘gravity bleed’ enough?

    • @rafab2774
      @rafab2774 4 года назад

      Any disconection of brake system has to be finished with full bleeding of line. You need to pressurize system in order to squize out air bubbles. Otherwise ... well

      I've done this and just pushed the piston back without opening the bleed screw. It works fine. If you open the bleed screw you risk air getting in. Then have to bleed the entire system.

      @@PerilousPauly Like she say. If you push the piston without opening the bleed screw, you risk to damage to abs system.

    I don’t understand this. I did mine the exact same way not a new rotor. But when I compressed the caliper and go to put it back on the bottom hole will line up the top one will not. Idk what’s going wrong. Guess it will sit on jack stands and rust😂😂

    Now I understand my mistake. I have to small hammer :D Or maybe hit the rotor not hard enough ;)
