Well at least no one is eating each other...

I've heard stories about people being trampled to death when the dreaded Black Friday comes around; I never want to be stuck in that crap; so I shop year-round for whatever I happen to find. That way when 'christmas' or whatever comes alone; I already have my shopping done and I can sit at home with a cup of hot chocolate with Bailey's Irish Cream; watching a movie marathon while people try to kill each other over the shopping rush. *shudders* I remember a friend telling me about how these two women broke out into a full on beat down match between each other over a f**king game system for their children. One of the two women almost killed the other just to get the system for her own entitled brat. (Which is a part of the reason why I'd actually like to see some pandemic virus wipe out about..... oh.... let's say 60% of humanity. That would give us 40% left to rebuild with)
I used to think we would be able to contain an outbreak like this quite succesfully. My opinion drastically changed around 8 months ago.

Imagine your car gas or home AC liquid was only 9% effective. Would you buy it?
This is injected into peoples bodies. I don't trust them. If you can't do better than 9% after 100 years of practice then how are you going to successfully do a new strain reliably? And you know they are not liable if you're injured or die? Why would they make themselves not accountable? Over 12,000 have died shortly following the shot (and many more seriously injured with bizarre symptoms), most of them healthy as opposed to a majority of people dying from the virus who are not healthy. An outbreak like this is much more realistic than in The Walking Dead. That’s because the infected are not technically undead.
it's an old comment i know, but i agree, especially because in TWD it's just so dumb the fact that all army's in the world fell apart to a bunch of slow walking zombies, while in 28 days later they are not only alive, but they will hunt down in actually dangerous packs every living being with overwhelming force and the infection makes sense, since it's just enhanced rabies
@@ishiddddd4783 and even if u have a gun, u shot one and 10 more apear. Real solution is wate till they starve to death.
TWD zombies literally survive on the function of their brain stem alone. If only the brain stem was functional, they wouldn’t be able to walk, chew, or do most things, they’d just be aware and nothing beyond that
@Daniel Appleton yeah I've seen many videos saying if zombies were real it wouldn't last long because of natural causes would end up killing them and they would decay so we would only need to wait for idk how long until they are all dead

One thing I still don't get; why aren't these hulked out rage zombies attacking each other?
It's not like the virus is hijacking their bodies and using it like some kind of weird alien fungus. It's just making them rage the fuck out.
Isaac Sorrels Dont forget it is still fiction tho. Typical thing for zombielike movies. I personally think that the infected can sense who is infected and who is not. Anyway, that is just what I think.
Yeah cause unless a virus would release pheromones it would be impossible for the infected to identify each other
Their senses are heightened, so they can detect who is and who is not infected. Not bathing for days is a good way to throw off their scent. However, chemicals that humans use, are deeply embedded into our skin and are hard to truly get rid of. Because of this, the human body will usually give away an uninfected person's location to the infected.
wd for the explanations; in the first movie, Selina's ill-fated companion mentions an earlier massacre where he couldn't tell the infected from the panicking people, so how did the infected know who was and who wasn't? Similar principles to the zombies in Romero's movies
Isaac Sorrels and why wouldn't infected attack one another?it's RAGE virus, not Infect people virus.
I watched both films and when I was watching it I genuinely felt a sense of fear, it must be the way they filmed it because it felt like there was no escape. They are both truly remarkable films and if you haven’t watched them you definitely should. You constantly feel tense whilst watching it.

Rabies is the closest thing to a zombie virus we have in reality. Mutations could make it like the movies relatively easily.
john basterson hi. No. I have fear.
If we combine rabies and flu we can create rage virus
@@Thekid_dynamite Not really. Rabies doesn't always send people into a fit of rage/delirium plus is far more rapidly debilitating to the infected person than Rage is, as Rage infected can survive for a fairly long period of time despite extreme blood loss and not eating/drinking, Rabies victims usually die within 2-10 days of symptoms. Rabies doesn't bestow the additional adrenaline that the Rage infected have which makes them shrug off pain/non fatal wounds with ease , as well as the physical capabilities making Rabies infected individuals far easier to deal with.
On top of that, you've made Rabies airborne, defeating the entire concept of the Rage Virus. Pretty much everyone would be infected as it can take months/years for symptoms of Rabies to show. There would be no Rage, just loads of people suffering rapid neurological breakdown and death.
In reality human rabies would hard to contain but we have a cure and they don't eat you just bite you so it would be a medium difficultly.
Russia and germany still would not be friends in a apocalypse
Russia will fall >=)
In most movies like that, the infected people show symptoms way too fast. Plus, people would have just a few hours to infect other people before their brain becomes non-functional. Even if you "tweak" rage or another virus to have milder symptoms, I doubt you could get symptoms like that.
For a viral infection to reach the brain and cause symptoms, at least 12 hours are required. A viral infection is a slow buildup.
A mild fungus infection producing a nonlethal toxin would be a more realistic scenario. Symptoms would likely develop quickly depending on the amount of mold and toxin is present.
I always knew hippies would end the world.

There is actually a disease in the jungles that mimics this behavior. You get in a coma, wake up and attack everything that moves. After that you are going in another coma and die.
Anyway, that is how damaging it is and shows us that the rage virus would be very very short lived. The human body still needs all the nutrients and even more because it is sick and vomits blood. Who prefers 28 days later over The Walking Dead
Season 1 was the best season
@@alexanderm3504 yeah then they sadly degraded
Westmisten Mapping II thats when they had the good director
The reason why i like 28 days later is because
1. It came out BEFORE TWD did
2. Its a lot more realistic
3. Instead of walking corpses, its a bunch of deranged humans with a virus that May exsist in real life
4. And it showed how it happened (damn peta) instead of corpses deciding to get up and walk
Yeah lets compare an hour and a half movie to a 10 season television series. Dumb
The primary problem with Rage is that it infects impossibly fast. There is literally no way any virus on the planet can have that effect in a matter of 20 seconds or less. A virus causes symptoms in a host when it hijacks a cell's DNA replication machinery. It uses this to create more copies of itself. Eventually, the cells explode, releasing the copies. This cell death is what causes symptoms.
This machinery can only work so fast. It cannot create copies in seconds. It can't do so in minutes. This is the limiting factor. The fastest a virus can cause symptoms is a few hours. This isn''t open to an argument such as "well, you don't know the genes they put into the new Rage virus". This is a host's cellular machinery, and it cannot be altered. Or in other words, you can argue it can cause symptoms in a few hours, but you cannot win an argument that it can cause symptoms in under 20 seconds.
Next, they argue that the hosts die of starvation because they are unable to be concerned by anything but their unbridled rage. If that was the case, then they would die of dehydration in a about 4 days, rather than starve after two weeks or so. Especially with them bleeding from their orifices, and vomiting so much - they would realistically die of dehydration in about 2 days. But at least with this point, someone can argue that they failed to explain in the lore that the infected will stop and drink water if they find it...
They could have cannibalistic traits though. And it's not like there wouldn't be animals wondering around the city.
Zombies can be realistic if the writers put in some real effort and do their research. Rabies is an actual zombie virus, for example.
not to mention a virus that takes effect that fast would be incredibly easy to quarantine. The real risk of global pandemic comes from viruses with a long drawn out incubation phase, and a lot of the CDCs worst nightmare scenarios actually involve debilitating diseases with a relatively low mortality rate.
Have you heard of the Blacklight Virus from Prototype, that shit's basically an unstoppable shapeshifting force of nature that infects like literally everything it touches yet is somehow scared of water. I mean, they call it fiction for a reason

Yeah but more ebola-ey
You can actually sorta hear the voices of the infected in L4D if you go to them in cam mode and get real close to their passive states. They don't say words, but you can tell they're more than probably a little aware of what's going on to an extent.
max larsen i heard an infected in lfd2 say "run for your lives" like he didn't want to hurt the player but new he was infected
Sea Lake 1985 Yeah my lil brother whose 8 told me something similar
Am I the only one that sees a similarity between the 28 days later rage zombies and the l4d zombies
Seems they were inspired by the movie
Wheatley nah i see it
Wheatley absolutely not dude the common infected were based on the infected of 28 series
Well... The infected in 28 series are not zombies, but otherwise yeah, L4D zombies kinda also remind me of the infected from 28 series :D
The term zombie has evolved since the first movie that Romero did, original zombies are brought back to life by voodoo magic to be used as a slave by the shaman, nothing to do with eating & turning people to more zombies, but now zombies range from those original ones to super powered monsters, so he is technically right calling the 28 series & L4D infected zombies.
it's confusing why it took 6 months for them to starve.
They probably did eat some flesh when they mawled people, but weren't actively searching for food, so they took a little longer for them to starve. What I do want to know is how did they not dehydrated to death in a week after all those seveere vomiting, you can go months without eating, but not a few weekswithout liquids
Jonathan Vaughn because if the movie was more realistic the situation would not have gotten as bad and be a lot less dramatic more like an episode of show rather than a full film.
They die of starvation in 28 days. It took 6 months for ALL infected to die.
In the film we see that the infected lay dormant when there are no uninfected humans about, so they wouldn't use much energy in that state. Also it may have taken 6 months for the infection to end, but that's likely because the first infected had infected survivors, these survivors would then infect other survivors until they starved and so on so forth until entire areas were depopulated and there were not enough survivors to infect. Only at that point had the infected fully starved to death.
It takes about 9 weeks for the infected to die, from the moment they were exposed. This was implied during the ending of 28 Days. It also depends on whether or not the infected were exposed to a fresh source of food (noninfected person), where they may sometimes maul and eat them.
I always come back to this video, especially while walking down a forest path just before sunset. Your voice over the 28 days later clips and music just hits in a way nothing else does. Almost like I found this tape in an attic in a friend's summer cottage, an almost found footage quality.
I never knew the activists that caused the infection to spread had been sent by someone already aware of the virus. Seems kinda dumb... on that person's part, not the film's. Why would you risk a dangerous infection getting out when you helped create it and were disgusted with what you'd created? He basically screwed over his own people. Didn't even give them proper warning.
As for Andy... I always wondered how the infection got to Paris. Being an unknown carrier, I assumed he accidentally infected either his sister or the pilot while in flight. This caused the crash and the further spread through mainland Europe. I imagine poor Andy didn't survive either the crash or being attacked by the other two, suffering the same fate as his mother :(
I dont think that Andy accidentally infected either his sister Tammy or pilot. And Tammy might also be carrier/immune to symptoms. also Infected were already in Paris. They went from english canal to France..
yes, but by that time the infection had been eradicated in France. the implication at the end is that andy somehow caused a new outbreak
The infected got to Paris by using the Euro tunnel, which connects England to France.
The fil certainly seems to imply otherwise, and that Andy was somehow accidentally involved in the outbreak infecting Paris, due to there being a reason there helicopter crashed, and not just crashing randomly.
Implying it wasn't done for someone else to profit from the disaster..
Jesus, have you been living under a rock?
Till this day, the first opening scene and score of 28 Weeks Later is one of my all time favorites. The atmosphere and how the music builds up is so satisfying. (So good, I even downloaded it to my phone and hear it from time to time)
*Infected by rage virus*
GRAAAHHHHH
*Attacks ppl*
Random guy: Hey
Infected: Grrrrr
Random guy: Eat this
Infected: ?
Random guy: Its snickers, cause your never yourself when your hungry
Infected: ok I guess
Snickers really satisfies.
R/comedycemetery
Snickers is a cure for a zombie virus 😂😂
Omg, that’s genius🤣
although this belongs to the comedy cemetery, zombies do not like snickers, and actually like to eat karens.
Who's hear after corona virus outbreak in china?
I just saw move from argentina "faze 7" about quarantane and deadly virus...
You still alive ?
No ;_;
That beginning so true.. it’s not goin to be on tv much longer, there will be dead outside on the street, this is terrifying.. 300,000 confirmed means at least a million world wide, and I bet it’s probably closer to 7 million will hundreds of thousands dead.. this really isn’t good.
Yep
This one was one of my first zombie movies and i have to say after this i could not find anything as good like it .. well there is iam legend but this movie makes you hate the father so much and yest love the kids so much ! The story and the lies that they find out about makes the movie so powerful !! And the ending is even better !!! But yet you still cheer them on !!
It's kind of divided for me.It's realistic and reality is that everything is every person for themselves and the father follows a rule very important for zombie survival:Don't be a hero cause being a hero kills you.People literally divorce these days for saying lol so most marriages won't last. Each kid was stupid and along with everyone except a good Chunk of military and the dad and Jacob were smart.
Hannah, you should watch the Korean movie : Train to Busan. It's a very good modern zombie movie.
This isn't a zombie film though
How do u hate the father? The only reasonable person in this movie imo
@@mog5326 yeah "reasonable " kissing his infected wife not knowing her condition. His he realistic sure why not cause why would a man not be happy to see his wife alive after being a complete coward and watching her get swarmed by infected.
But "reasonable "? No.
Best zombie movies of all time. ALL TIME. I’m praying to god that it becomes a trilogy.
#28MonthsLater
Zac Irvin what about dawn of the dead?? Them fast z's ain't no jokee
SUPREME_E90 Those movies aren’t bad, but I think the acting in the 28 series is much better.
Zac Irvin very truee!
Ever seen Train to Busan, that movie had many different elements and was the only zombie movie to successfully make me cry at the end.
You like The Last of Us?
*+Respect*
Can u imagine the red lanterns showed up?
yes, if DC owned 28 days later then the rage zombies would all be in the red lantern corps and plus red lanterns when they first get their ring and rage zombies aren't that different as they are both mindless rage monsters, they both vomit blood, and they just really like to kill
That would be badass
they wouldnt be able to would them back as once you get a red ring you go insane so they would basically double insane (the way you could make them sane would be by taking them to a pool on Ysmault)
"Rage" is the name of the rabies virus in french.
rabies in German is called Tollwut which literally translates to crazy rage
Rabies actually comes from the Latin word rabere meaning to do violence
Well I’m going to have nightmares for the rest of my life
Did you?
Venom 8000 did you ?
Out of all viruses, the Rage Virus terrifies me the most. One bite and that's it. I know it's the same principle with the other viruses in different but with Rage it's instant infection which is more terrifying compared to other infections in other movies.
There's an even worse version of that virus type in a comic series called crossed
@@dreajack4123Crossed is a one fucked up comic.
@@tk-hf4oz Yeah, especially family values
Just came here from Wow Such Gaming's video (which was so annoying I could not finish it) and wanted to say THANK YOU for not constantly intersecting your analysis with stupid puns and bad jokes. Subscribed 👍
Dying Light was heavily influenced by this movie. also Crane wears a similar outfit jim does in bozak horde its the hospital gown
I did not know that Luke. Thanks for sharing :)
FilmComicsExplained i didn't think you would actually see this lol
Sea Lake 1985 Geek
@@sealake7935 and i have the rage infected for movie look in the game is super good
I don’t even remember my best solo run time lol
So if they Isolate the Chemicals that creates happiness will they make a happy virus 😂
lol, really why all viruses cause only bad things. What if there would be a virus that makes you smarter or your penis to grow bigger
That Guy drug is not a virus, drug is a chemical
lilsnipes Moore *ecstasy*
Yes it's MDMA and it's absolutely amazing.
Edibles, weed, and ex my friend🤣
28 days later shows you why you should not try to make something to control anger and rage just give the people lots of therapy
do you have a clue how the world works?
Or a Purge night.
Spartanwarriorguy 1987
Too bad I’m going to make super soldier zombies
No, making an anger inhibitor wasn't the problem. Mixing the mind-altering drugs with an ever-mutating virus was.
NotAssigned basically never use Ebola for anything
one thing they got crucially wrong... the infected don't drink... takes 1 week to die of thirst.
Man, this aged like milk.
Fr
wow! ive been hoping a channel like this would show up for years! i really like all these lore videos based on horror and sci fi movies. it takes too long to read up on the wiki so i prefer being told via video. thank you! so much!
Think you could also cover the virus/ infection from "Train to Busan?" It infects animals as well, which is a slight but welcome change to the zombie formula. It also has an anime film that acts as a prequel, I believe.
Maybe smell. It could be when they are infected and see another infected that they are the same and when they see someone not then they probably think its a monster or something.
Why is nobody noticing he got the title wrong lol. The movie he's showing us is 28 Weeks Later. Not 28 Days Later. 28 Days later was made with Cillian Murphy in 2002. 28 Weeks Later is made with Robert Carlyle in 2007.
The beginning of this video hits different during Quarantine
give us 28 Months Later!
Louie Jake dont forget 28 years later
Louie Jake human race dead by the
Gay Boi lonely planet filled with zombies
28 decades later?
Louie Jake or even 28 seconds later
This may sound crazy but if I could afford it, I’d absolutely invest in an underground bunker and food storage. Never know when something really bad could actually happen.
Don’t buy it from a vault company though built it yourself 😳 we know how that goes “fallout 4”
Bunkers dont work just look at the fallout games were gonna have ghouls and super mutants
@@BUDDAz1g that’s just cause they used them for experiments and not for the real reason
@@mobski who's to say they wont use those as experiments? I mean c'mon they're experimenting on use as we speak

This movie has scared me for 13 years! Ever since it came out and I literally started buying military gear because it seemed something like this could really happen and then covid! I have both movies and I sure hope they make a third movie!
watching this during corona virus quarantine
Angel Avalos quarantine because i am not isolating myself, its a quarantine
This movie is even more scarier now XD (Only 2020 peeps know)
You are saying this like people aren’t in 2020 and you are in the future 💀💀
@@shannonsavard7218 Gotta make sure them time travelers from 20200 know when they check youtube for history class.
Watching this right now is so disturbing.
Don's infection scene is seriously one of the most harrowing, heartbreaking, and brutal things I've ever seen in any media.
With most zombie type movies, I have a hard time understanding how a military could be overwhelmed by infected hosts. The rage zombies aren't immune to most damage like zombies, so they can still be brought down by gun fire, tank rounds, fire bombs, artillery, and cruise missiles. So I don't know how the rage zombies could have possibly dealt with tanks or APC's, or the British Navy.
Thanks again for this indepth explanation of the so-called rage virus !
Keep up the good work.
thanks Lorre!
Watching this for the 1st time during the COVID-19 outbreak.Haunting watching the intro.
OMG for real I was just cringing the whole time
The interviews at the start sure have aged well. 👀🦠
😔
By far the best “zombie” movie, imo.
What if i were to be a carrier and nut?...Is my nut deadly?
Skylinx Gaming Deadliest nut to ever exsist!
dont contaminate your hand
Yes always
If you were gonna be carrier your lucky
Skylinx Gaming it’s already deadly
All you gotta do is out last the infected so like hold up somewhere and let them all starve to death.
I think so too Brent :)
Agreed! This is the same method Jim, Selena, and Hanna used for the first outbreak.
Yeah man, I live in northern Finland so the "summers" are pretty much shit with only couple weeks of warmer weather and off we go towards winter. That's the only good part - in the heart of winter it gets as low as -30 C so if the outbreak reached our neck of the woods it would be a joke :D
Is that a fallout joke?
yeah, just wait like 3-5 weeks and they all starve just like we would and then be glad the rage zombies aren't undead because it is generally understood that undead zombies usually take 5 YEARS to die of starvation
The best "zombie" stories of all time. I hope the rumors about the 28 Months & Years Later movies respectively are true... Common Danny Boy!
