  • After 6 months of pure garbage content WH+ finally gave us something worth watching.
    The Exodite, the creation of NOT GW, but the ‪@ProjectMorningstar‬ and the ever so wonderful ‪@LegioSymphonica‬ has proven when GW has nothing or little to do with Warhammer40K (fan) animations, the quality immediately skyrockets.
    My hats off to the Lost Legion and Legio Symphonica.
    I have seen the full episode and compared to the H&B and Angels of Death, this is incomparable jump in quality.
    As a former Tau main in KillTeam, and the World's FIRST opne XV25 stealth suit modeller, I can tell you that the suit up scene when the Shas'vre gets her stealth suit, was awesome.
    Will be looking out for part 2, Yoho and Fiddle Dee until then Me Mateys!

    See this is what blows my mind. Assumedly, those projectiles are flying at multiple times the speed of sound yet they're taking forever just to reach their targets. The sheer space in which this battle takes place is mindboggingly huge not to mention the ships themselves.

    • @MrCoolguy425
      @MrCoolguy425 Год назад +6

      something to note in space battles which is never seen on any planet, is that even the speed of LIGHT is slow in comparison to ranges that are possible, and the inaccuracy of shots typically do not come from aiming (though in wh40k it might because ai is shunned) but from your target making random movements, making at range even lasers miss (even if they arent able to be seen and predicted where they will hit, random movements will make them miss)

    • @locarno24

      @@MrCoolguy425 imperial navy fights don't tend to occur at light second plus ranges for that reason, but even much closer in you get accuracy issues from delays because you're trying to precisely slew a gun the size of a small supermarket warehouse, which takes several seconds to point in a given direction.
      The effective gun range is still about 40-60,000km in open space, though.

    I believe the imperial ships being crippled (not destroyed, for imperial ships are mighty) are smaller escort vessels about 1 to 1 1/2 km long, Cobra class. Destroyers and such. That is why the void shields collapse quickly. The smallest warships. The larger ships are cruisers. Maybe a battle cruiser is in there. I see a light cruiser. The Tau wanted badly to copy the swole Lunar cruisers firepower and survivability, but failed. The entire Damocles Crusade only had these void ships - 1 Battleship, 1 battle cruiser, 3 crusiers, light cruiser(s), 1 strike cruiser, plus cobra class destroyers and escort vessels. They made it all the way to Dal'yuh a prime Tau world close to the homeworld of Tau itself. They simply had under estimated the Tau and didn't have the strength to continue.
