  • First part of naval battle scene from the Korean movie Noryang: Deadly Sea, 2023 (노량: 죽음의 바다) directed by Han-min Kim.
    (with english subtitles)
The Battle of Noryang, the last major battle of the Japanese invasions of Korea (1592-1598), was fought between the Japanese navy and the combined fleets of the Joseon Kingdom and the Ming dynasty. It took place in the early morning of 16 December (19 November in the Lunar calendar) 1598 and ended past dawn.
On 15 December, a huge Japanese fleet was amassed in Sach'on Bay, on the east end of the Noryang Strait. Shimazu was not sure whether the allied fleet was continuing the blockade of Konishi's wajō, on its way to attack an abandoned wajō further east, or blocking their way on the western end of Noryang Strait. Yi, meanwhile, knew exactly where Shimazu was after receiving reports from scouts and local fishermen.
The Joseon fleet consisted of 82 panokseon multi-decked oared ships. The Ming fleet consisted of six large war junks (true battle vessels most likely used as flagships) that were driven by both oars and sails, 57 lighter war ships driven by oars alone (most likely transports converted for battle use), and two panokseon provided by Yi. In terms of manpower, the allied fleet had 8,000 sailors and marines under Yi, 5,000 Ming men of the Guangdong Squadron, and 2,600 Ming marines who fought aboard Korean ships, a total of almost 16,000 sailors and fighting men. The Ming fleet was divided into two squadrons, the larger of which was commanded by Chen and the smaller by Deng Zilong. The allied fleet was well-equipped with cannon, mortars, archers, and arquebusiers. The Japanese had 500 ships, but a significant part of their fleet consisted of light transports. The Japanese ships were well-armed with arquebuses and also had some captured Joseon cannon. The allied fleet was outnumbered, but made up for it with ships which, on average, had superior firepower and heavier, more sturdy construction.
The allied fleet waited for Shimazu on the west end of Noryang Strait. The battle began around 02:00 am on 16 December. It was, from the very beginning, a desperate affair with the Japanese determined to fight through the allied fleet and the allies equally determined to keep them from breaking through and advancing.

My dudes, the Koreans have "silently" released a third movie from the Imjin War period about the battles of legendary admiral Yi Sun-sin. And as always, Western audiences have no idea.
    But not on my watch!
Here is the opening part of the naval battle of Noryang. The entire movie battle is almost an hour long and it gets better every minute. So, if you have the chance, go see it now.
    It's epic!
Historical note as always in video description.
    Enjoy.

In the actual Japan-Korea War, Japan captured the capital of Korea in three weeks, and Korea sought help from its suzerain, the Ming Dynasty, and was able to win.

Hello, I'm a Korean. The sinking of the turtle ship in this movie's battle scene is a historical error. The turtle ship never sortied in the Battle of Noryang. Before the Battle of Noryang, the Battle of Chilcheonryang, led by General Won Gyun, not Yi Sun-sin, resulted in a crushing defeat due to lack of use of the turtle ship. During the battle, Japanese naval forces infiltrated the turtle ship and burned it at sea. Japanese ships were small and light and not strong enough to carry artillery. This is a complete historical error. There was a lot of controversy when this movie was screened in Korea.

    • @neo_ericjuarez61
      @neo_ericjuarez61 2 месяца назад +87

Then he proceeded to just continue winning battle after battle.

Within three weeks, Seoul had fallen, and within three months the Japanese army had advanced into what is now Pyongyang, North Korea. The Japanese army attacked with only 150,000 out of a total force of 600,000. This was equivalent to 25% of the Japanese army at the time. Do you know of any small country that couldn't protect itself from this 25%? lol...,.

☝️THE GOSPEL OF THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD "the Salvation of the last day that Christ brought in the second and last incarnation of His new and holy name"
"The Work of the Holy Spirit and the Work of Satan" ... (How does one come to understand the details of the spirit? How does the Holy Spirit work in man? How does Satan work in man? How do evil spirits work what are the signs? In the actual practice of men, many appear from the will of man which men always believe to come from the Holy Spirit. The work of the Holy Spirit is a kind of proactive guidance and positive enlightenment. It does not allow people to be complacent. It brings them comfort, gives them faith and stability, and enables them to pursue God's perfection. When the Holy Spirit works, people are able to actively enter; they are not coerced or coerced, but act of their own free will. When the Holy Spirit works people are happy and ready, ready to obey and happy in humility. Those who possess the work of the Holy Spirit carried out the love of God and the love of their brothers; they rejoice in the things that please God, and hate the things that God hates. People who are touched by the work of the Holy Spirit have a normal personality and they continue to pursue the truth and possess character. In such a state, when they eat and drink the words of God, they have faith; when they pray, they are inspired; when something happens to them, they are not sure; and as things happen, they are able to see the lessonsin those things that God requires them to learn. What effect does the work of the Holy Spirit achieve? When the Holy Spirit works in you, you still experience real difficulties: There are times when you will cry, and there are times when there will be things that you cannot overcome, but it is all a just a phase of the usual work of the Divinespirit Your insecurity cannot prevent you from having normal experiences, and no matter what other people say, and how they attack you, you still manage to love God. This is the normal state of the work of the Holy Spirit.)
      Almighty God said
How does one COME to UNDERSTANDING the DETAILS of SPIRIT? How does the HOLY SPIRIT WORK in PEOPLE? How does SATAN WORK with PEOPLE? How do EVIL SPIRITS WORK on people? WHAT are the SIGNS? When something happens to you, is it coming from the Holy Spirit, and should you follow it or reject it? In the actual practice of men, many appear from the will of man which men always believe to come from the Holy Spirit. Some things are from evil spirits, but people still think they are from the Holy Spirit, and there are times when people are guided by the Holy Spirit from within, but are afraid people whose guidance comes from Satan, therefore they do not dare to follow, whereas in reality that guidance is the illumination of the Holy Spirit. ☀️
So, unless one looks at the difference, there is no way to experience it in his practical experience; if the difference is not looked at, there is no way of earning life. How does the Holy Spirit work? How do evil spirits work? What is the will of man? And WHAT is the GUIDANCE and LIGHT of the HOLY SPIRIT? If you penetrate the consistencies of the work of the Holy Spirit within man, you will be able to grow your knowledge and see the differences in your daily life and during your practical experiences; you will know God, you will be able to understand andunderstand Satan; you will not be confused in your obedience or claim, and you will be a man whose thoughts are clear, and who follows the work of the Holy Spirit.
The WORK of the HOLY SPIRIT is a KIND of PROMPT GUIDANCE and POSITIVE LIGHT. It does not allow people to be complacent. It brings them COMFORT, gives them FAITH and STABILITY, and gives them the ability to PURSUE GOD'S PERFECTION. When the Holy Spirit works, it MAKES people ACTIVELY ENTER; they are not reluctant or FORCED, but ACT with their OWN VOLUNTEER. When the HOLY SPIRIT WORKS, PEOPLE are JOYFUL and READY, ready to OBEY and HUMBLE. Although they are HURT and FRAGILE INSIDE, they have the FORGIVENESS to COOPERATE, they SUFFER with JOY, they are ABLE to OBEY, and they have NO taint of HUMAN WILL, NO taint of HUMAN MIND, and certainly no tainted by HUMAN DESIRES and MOTIVES. 🌷🙏
When PEOPLE EXPERIENCE the WORK of the HOLY SPIRIT, they are especially HOLY WITHIN. Those who HAVE the WORK of the HOLY SPIRIT LIVE the LOVE of GOD and the LOVE of their BROTHERS; They REJOICE in the things that GOD DELIGHTS, and HATE the things that GOD HATES. People who are TOUCHED by the WORK of the HOLY SPIRIT have a NORMAL PERSONALITY, and they constantly PURSUE the TRUTH and HAVE a PERSONALITY. 🙏🌹
When the HOLY SPIRIT WORKS WITHIN PEOPLE, their CONDITIONS GET BETTER and BETTER, and their PERSONALITY becomes more and more NORMAL, and although some of their cooperation may be foolish, their motivations are RIGHT, their ENTRY is POSITIVE, they do NOT TRY to DISTURB, and there are NO BAD thoughts WITHIN THEM. 🌹🙏
The WORK of the HOLY SPIRIT is NORMAL and REAL, the Holy Spirit WORKS in man ACCORDING to the RULES of NORMAL HUMAN LIFE, and He realizes LIGHT and GUIDANCE within PEOPLE in accordance with the ACTUAL PURSUIT of NORMAL people. When the Holy Spirit works in people, He guides and enlightens them according to the needs of normal people. He provides for them according to their needs, and He positively guides and enlightens them according to what they do not have, and according to their deficiencies. 🛑🙏
The WORK of the HOLY SPIRIT is to LIGHT and GUIDE PEOPLE to TRUE LIFE; only when they EXPERIENCE the WORDS of GOD in their ACTUAL LIFE then they are able to SEE the WORK of the HOLY SPIRIT. If, in their daily lives, people are in a positive state and have a normal spiritual life, they possess the work of the Holy Spirit.
In such a state, when they eat and drink the words of God, they have faith; when they pray, they are inspired; when something happens to them, they are not sure; and as things happen, they are able to see the lessons inthose things that God required them to learn. They are not timid or weak, and although they have real difficulties, they are ready to obey all God's arrangements.
WHAT EFFECTS does the WORK of the HOLY SPIRIT ACHIEVE? You may be foolish, and you may not have a clue, but the Holy Spirit only has to work for you to have faith, and you will always feel that you cannot love God enough. You will be READY to HELP, no matter how severe the SUFFERINGS that come. Things will happen to you and it will not be clear to you whether they are from God or from Satan, but you will be able to wait, and you will not be uncertain or careless. This is the normal work of the Holy Spirit. ☀️
When the HOLY SPIRIT WORKS within you, you STILL EXPERIENCE real SUFFERINGS: There are OCCASIONS that you will BEAR TEARS, and there are OCCASIONS that there will be things that you CANNOT OVERCOME, BUT ALL of this is just a PHASE of the NORMAL WORK of Holy Spirit. Although you did not overcome those difficulties, and although at that time, you were weak and full of complaints, you still managed afterwards to love God with full faith. Your indecisiveness CANNOT STOP YOU from having NORMAL EXPERIENCES, and regardless of WHAT other people SAY, and HOW they ATTACK YOU, you STILL do LOVE GOD. During PRAYER TIME, you always FEEL that in the PAST you OWE GOD too MUCH, and you DECIDE to PLEASURE GOD and AVOID the FLESH whenever you are faced with such things again. This POWER SHOWS that the WORK of the HOLY SPIRIT is PRESENT within you. This is the normal state of the work of the Holy Spirit. 🙏

Korean clowns always make me laugh. Yi Sun-sin, the most worthless hero in history, of whom South Korea is proud, was ultimately killed by Shimazu soldiers and had little impact on the war, merely attacking Japanese convoys as guerrillas. In the invasion of Korea, the Japanese army attacked South Korea with 150,000 troops, but the total number of Japanese troops was 600,000. The number of 150,000 people corresponds to 25% of the total military force. Don't forget the fact that these 25% captured Seoul in 3 weeks and advanced to Pyongyang, North Korea, within 3 months. The power relationship between Japan and South Korea has always been one-sided and has never been an equal power relationship. It's not a relationship between Germany and France, it's a relationship between Germany and Poland.,...,.,

The Battle of Noryang was a naval battle that took place on the night of December 16, 1598, in a small strait called Noryang on the southern coast of Korea. The meaning of the word ‘Noryang’ is ‘angry waves’. This battle was the final battle of the seven-year-long war between Korea and Japan. In this battle, the Japanese army suffered massive losses and fled to the Japanese mainland.

Yi Sun-Shin, said to be one of the best naval commanders in the world, even said to be equal or greater than the English naval commander Nelson. The Turtle ship was based on a earlier ship design. In one of Yi's most famous battle, Yi with only 12 or 13 ship (none of them are turtle ships) fights a Japanese navy group of 133 combat ships and 200 support ship, Yi came out victorious with no ships lost with Japan losing several of their combat ships. Also due to corruption in the Korean government before and during the war, Yi Sun-Shin was almost always understaff and insufficient resources for war, thus he mainly relied on Naval tactics, some of them Yi invented himself like the crane formation to win the battles Yi fought in.

I would say that both were the greatest commanders of their age.
Nelson too creates fascinating tactics that testified tradition and simply established British Naval Dominance not just for the Napoleonic Wars, but for the next 100 years.
Yi Sun-Shin is a fascinating naval commander himself, fighting miracles and changing the odds and establishing Korean naval superiority for the War.
Both men although from different times, are true naval legends that are equal.

At least 30,000 Japanese soldiers were killed in this one-day battle. This is the battle in which the largest number of Japanese soldiers died throughout Japanese history, including World War II. As a result of this battle, the Imjin War between Korea and Japan, which lasted for seven years, ended in Japan's defeat and led to the collapse of the Toyotomi shogunate within Japan. After this battle, the sea in this area was covered with the bodies of dead Japanese soldiers, and it is recorded that the entire sea was red with the blood shed by the dead Japanese soldiers for about 10 days.

Now, some Japanese people here are laughing at the fact that the Joseon Army was extremely weak regardless of Yi Sun-sin, and that's true. But, to use an analogy, if the entire modern Korean Army and the entire Japan Ground Self-Defense Force were to fight, who would win? Then the Japanese will make excuses like this. Currently, Japan is an island country and has not developed the Ground Self-Defense Force because it is defending itself.
That's the point. The military's combat power is a product of the country's environment and has nothing to do with concepts such as national character. At that time, Joseon was in a period of 200 years of peace and specialized in fighting against the Jurchen tribe in the north. The Joseon navy traditionally prepared for Japanese pirates and paid the price. Moreover, there were no clearly hostile countries before Japan invaded out of nowhere. Ignoring that and insisting that the Japanese military is great is a nationalistic samurai fantasy. Just enjoy this video as the story of a dedicated hero from the past.

t was early in the war. This was the end of the war, and the war lasted for seven years. The Japanese also knew about the Joseon army's tactics, and they reinforced their ships and used cannons in some cases. Also, since they could not hit Joseon ships with regular muskets, they used large muskets called dagger guns to attack Joseon soldiers.
Above all, the accuracy of firearms at this time was low and it took a long time to load, so Joseon soldiers actually fought at close range with the Japanese army, within 200 meters.

Even if You lived in Japan for a long time, he would not know that the first emperor of Japan was a descendant of the royal family of Baekje, one of the countries on the Korean Peninsula, because it is taboo in Japan. As someone who studies East Asian history, I would like to briefly explain the relationship between Japan and Korea. Japan was a blessed island nation that accepted many cultures from China (mainly the Tang Dynasty) and the Korean Peninsula (mainly Baekje and Gaya) and was not invaded by continental powers.Even the only Mongol invasion failed by storm ("kamikaze" as the Japanese call it).Historically, Korea people fought many great wars in which hundreds of thousands or millions of troops invaded, but the targets were northern people groups such as the Sui, Tang, Khitan, Qing, and Mongols, and were generally friendly to the Chinese dynasties of Song and Ming etc... Japan's a bit more complicated, although there have been hundreds of small raids along the eastern seaboard by Japanese pirates called Waku. Afterwards, there was a great invasion by Yamato's toyotomi unified shogunate with hundreds of thousands of regular troops, and the background to the Seven Years' War, which was called the Yamato rebellion, was that the carelessness and arrogance of Joseon (Korea), which enjoyed only peace and culture for 200 years, treated Yamato (Japan) as a barbaric pirate group rather than a country. However, Yamato had a high level of tactics through clan battles for 100 years, and the 170,000 troops of Toyotomi, who unified the whole country, armed with Portuguese matchlocks and attacked Joseon. Historically, Japan has waged a surprise war without a declaration of war.The 16,000 Elite heavy cavalry that Joseon was proud of, which had suppressed the cruel northern peoples, was defeated by the Yamato Matchlock unit, and 70, 000 Joseon Army was pushed back all the way to Pyongyang. Yamato, which was a medieval feudal lord era, gained land and people if it won a war, but in Joseon, which was a centralized country, the king fled to the north, but the people and monks formed a militia and fought to the end , the Japanese army was embarrassed by the existence of the Militia.Admiral Yi Sun-sin of Joseon defeated the Japanese navy by winning all 33 naval battles despite overwhelming odds.
The basic weapons of the Joseon army were bows, spears, and swords, as well as gunpowder bombs and various cannons of different sizes..The Ming Dynasty (China) sent reinforcements to help Joseon, but instead harassed Joseon by plundering and engaging in internal communication with Japan, but helped Yi Sun sin in the final naval battle.Yamato, who did not have the technology to make pottery, Taken in hundreds of Joseon pottery craftsmen to make pottery and exported the pottery to Europe, where it received favorable reviews. Joseon was unable to recover from the aftereffects of this war for 400 years and suffered the humiliation of being annexed by Japan, which it regarded as an uncivilized island, and being ruled for 35 years. This Great War was a symbolic event in which the international status of the Korean Peninsula with 4,800 years of history was reversed by the Japanese archipelago with 1,800 years of history. 300 years later, Joseon became a reclusive country with a policy of isolation, and Japan defeated the Russian fleet through the strategy of Yi Sun-sin, the great naval admiral of the country it invaded 400 years ago, and later joined the ranks of the great powers. Yi Sun sin's the world's top 3 naval admiral and the turtle ship is an invincible Korean Item in the Age of Empires PC Games.

Turtle Ships were tanks of the sea. Their task was to lead the vanguard and penetrate deep into the enemy front lines and smash them to bits with their cannons firing from all “four” sides. Its roof was ironclad with iron spikes and its front was mounted with a turtle head shaped iron ram. Once it gets inside the enemy fleet nothing could destroy it. By the way this final battle never actually deployed turtle ships, the director just added them to this movie scene for dramatic effect.

      @junpark8078 2 месяца назад +12

The inaccuracy I saw as a Korean, is a turtle ship. Historically, Admiral Yi couldn't construct turtle ship in the battle of Noryang. So I think turtle ship is just added into the movie because most people who don't dig deep into history would think like: 'Hey, where is Turtle ship? Admiral Yi always had a turtle ship with him'
Also turtle ship was always portraited as a final solution in the media portraying Admiral Yi. So Admiral Yi without turtle ship could look like a cake without a strawberry on top. So I guess the director focused on folk-tale friendliness than historical accuracy when he was creating the movie.

    • @junlee8407
      @junlee8407 Месяц назад +5

@@junpark8078Bit late but here is my opinion on the turtle ships being depicted here as a Korean.(the korean part is important says no one)
first of,its a night battle. you know how chaotic night battles can get and with so many ships in combat with one another it's going to be quite hard to distinguish which ship is which though I believe Yi's diaries will state how much and what type of ships were to be used.
Second,if I guess correctly I believe the Joseon shipyards could crank out turtle ship in 10-13 months period if they worked really quickly and efficiently given Yi ordered the construction of turtle ships around early 1591 and used them in Sacheon in mid 1592 and given he gained full control of the Korean navy again in 1597 and battle of Noryang being around 10-14 months away gives them enough time for turtle ships to join the fray by Yi's final battle.
Now the most likely answer is that those turtle ships are just makeshift turtle ships where panokseons are converted into turtle ships by just adding a roof to it after some modifications are done and those dragon heads where just hanging around collecting dust after the construction stopped or something due to the war slowing down.
Anyways this argument is going to be absolutly obliterated by those who actually knows naval history and avid Yi sun sin fans who actually researches their stuff before arguing. And of course the Diary of Yi sun shin that I haven't read yet.

Sometimes the Japanese right wing asks,
"Why are you proud of Yi Sun-shin, who has already attacked and won an enemy that has lost his will to fight?" Korea has long been under threat from the Chinese dynasty, and unified nomads tried to stabilize the rear by attacking Korea first before attacking China. Korea's enemy always overwhelmed Korea in every way. So Korea had two laws of war. First, it should not go head-to-head. Korea's enemy always had a large number of troops, so the damage to our military had to be small. So Korea built many fortresses in Manchuria and the Korean Peninsula. The enemy gradually lost its fighting power through many fortresses and battles, and soldiers from unoccupied fortresses came out and cut off the enemy's supply. Second, we had to kill as many enemies as possible who were retreating after the war was over. The Korean Peninsula's terrain is mostly mountainous and environmentally barren, so it takes a very long time to recover from the war's damage. So, from ancient times, countries on the peninsula had to wage unnecessary final wars, regardless of victory or defeat. If you think about it, it's like gambling on our country's fate. If you lose an unnecessary war, the result is ruin. However, whether you lose an unnecessary war or the enemy recovers quickly and comes back, the result is ruin, so you can't help but gamble.
Thanks to this unnecessary war, Joseon was not threatened by Japan for nearly 300 years. This battle dealt a decisive blow to Toyotomi Hideyoshi's power, and Tokugawa Ieyasu, who did not send troops to Joseon, started a war to take over the shogunate.

TMI :In the movie, the power of the cannon is depicted as being very large, but historical researchers analyze that smaller caliber cannons would have been used at closer ranges. In addition, it is presumed that many small firearms and fire arrows were used to suppress the enemy crew and then set the ship on fire.
The Japanese Navy was aware of the existence of cannons, but did not choose them, due to its traditional fighting style of fast ships boarding enemy ships. The cannons of the 16th and 17th centuries were not decisive in victory or defeat due to their limited performance. In fact, the Japanese Navy was victorious in battles with armies that had similar fighting methods that were not commanded by Yi Sun-sin. (Battle of Chilcheonryang, Battle of Waegyoseong) The reason why Yi Sun-sin's strategy is highly regarded is because he fought the battle with a good understanding of the army's fighting style and won the battle without losing a single ship.
The fact that the Joseon Navy loaded cannons on ships and increased the size of their ships was a result of their response to the long-standing fight against Japanese pirates. The inferiority in close combat was overcome by superiority in firepower, and the ship was used as a moving castle.

This battle of Noryang captures very well both the new and old weapon technologies of the middle ages and exploration era. Koreans had much superior admirals and naval officers, better built warships, massive long range cannons, cannon fired giant missiles, multiple rocket launchers, explosive grenades, and composite horn bows. Japanese had smaller and faster warships, matchlock muskets, handheld rockets, better personal armour and swords, better hand to hand combat experience, and numeric advantage. But ultimately the sheer genius, strategies and tactics of Admiral Lee won the day and totally crushed the Japanese fleet and sent them to the bottom of the ocean.

According to historical records, the general trend is accurate. Qin Lin, the commander of the Ming Dynasty, received a bribe from the Japanese military and allowed one of Konishi's ships to escape from the siege. As a result, a large-scale night attack was attempted by the Japanese navy in cooperation with Konishi's fleet, aiming to encircle the area. Anticipating this, the battle began at night with the ambush of the Joseon and Myeong fleet, and the Japanese ships were burned by fire, and the Japanese soldiers were chased into a bay called Gwaneumpo, trapped, and massacred. The number varies slightly depending on the record, but it is said that a Japanese fleet of 300 to 500 ships came and only 50 escaped alive, and Shimazu also lost his flagship and fled on a small boat. Meanwhile, Konishi's fleet flees. It appears that Yi Sun-sin was killed by gunfire during the chaos of the night battle. The ship that the Joseon Ming combined fleet actually lost was one that was attacked by the Japanese army by taking advantage of a gunpowder explosion on the Panokseon that had been given to Deng Zilong, a deputy commander of the Ming Dynasty, and was taken away after Deng Zilong was killed.

@@rambo-cambo3581 I think the reason being for ships moving so fast could have two reasons. One being somewhat geographically understanding that currents in narrow paths like Noryang strait, where the battle in this movie takes place in real history, are way faster than a vast open sea, but I'm not 100 percent sure about this one, but considering the fact that there are hundreds of small isles all around the southern sea of Korean peninsula, pretty much all of southern coast has a strong current. The second reason is because Japanese ships had v-shaped bottom so they could sail as fast as possible to close in to Korean ships and fight in close quarter combats, which was the type of fight that Japanese preferred since they were way more experienced in it after going through Sengoku Jidai.

His most famous words, which were also his last words, were 'The battle is urgent, so do not let people know I am dead.' Because of this, neither the Joseon army nor the Japanese army knew of his death, and the Joseon army was able to win the battle without their morale dropping.

So in order to fight that, i mass produced the Western Black ships which even the tables.

It's not a relationship between Germany and France, it's a relationship between Germany and Poland...,,...,

Many Joseon generals died and Japanese daimyo-class samurai did not die well, well, there seems to be a difference in perspective between countries at the time. In Japan, daimyo was a monarch, and when daimyo, a monarch, died, most of the samurai under his command became Ronin as a general who failed to protect the lord, and while Joseon, which was a central government bureaucracy, had one king and the chief ministers were a servant and a general, no matter how high they were, so the Japanese military tried to save the monarch, Daimyo, and Joseon and Ming did not have the lives of major generals as precious as Japan, and they could seat someone else. Representatively, even during the Toyotomi period, the names of families such as Shimazu, Mori, Tokugawa, and Uesugi, respectively, but Joseon was called the Joseon Army, and the difference was not called by name alone, although it was only by soldiers such as the Army and the Navy.

The total strength of the Japanese army at that time was over 500,000, and 150,000 were sent to Korea. Don't lose sight of the fact that a third of the total military force captured Seoul in three weeks and most of the cities, including Pyongyang, in two months. In this war, Korea was only a supporting player, and only Japan and China fought mainly. Korea was weak and had entrusted all authority to China, its suzerain, so it was China that negotiated with Japan, and Korea was refused participation in the negotiations by China, its suzerain.
