This is like the guardsmen version of Astartes because it looks so dang good

I like this and the people are definitely dedicated and talented. But Astartes was very lore accurate with the designs of everything. This screams "no can't copyright strike" because the tanks and aircraft aren't of any standard Imperial designs. Even the space ship they drop from has a similar but noticeably very different prow and ram.
Shhh not so loud.
Guardsmen are always more interesting than those armored freaks :)
the tanks in the animation do they have a name? havent seen any imperial patterns with oscillating turrets
It's the Echidna recon tank. I made it up, but I'm thinking about making some lore posts about it (and other things) in the coming weeks/months

This looks awesome, though I do have one question: Why does the landing craft look so Astartes? Is the design canon? The only thing I recall looking like that is the Space Wolf flying brick thing.
So, I do not recognize the battle tank. Someone here know what type/pattern is it?

After the Astartes fiasco and the loss of TTS, I thought we'd never see another production of passion on that level ever again. I am pleased to know I was wrong.

What was the Astartes fiasco? I've seen the five part series, which was incredible, but was unaware there is controversy surrounding it?

@@anon5252 I'm not in the loop but I know that the GW guys bought out the dude that made the Astartes series and now he's probably in development hell. Legit GW should have to pay royalties to AD2000 for ripping off like half of their material, and yet they're stingy with other people. Bizzare. Remember that these marketing people and CEOs make more money than you ever will as a white/blue collar worker, for costing themselves money and shuting down fan projects.
@@anon5252 Maker of Astartes got offered to work directly with GW. Which, for all intents and purposes, and even though he says himself it's a good deal, likely will reduce the quality of his work because GW eventually will come with a "voluntary suggestion" he can "choose" to follow or not.

@@62sy GW takes down warhammer related fan content which really does them more bad than good, and other warhammer fans don’t get to see those fantastic animations cause they got taken down.
I love how this both resembles and differs from the Astartes short film. Both feature an insertion from a spacecraft, but where the Astartes are silent but immediately drop into extreme action, the Guard are slower to deploy and in their own way more methodical, but actively chatter and act far more human.
The Guard also deploys tanks of course, because they're the goddamn Guard.
It really feels more like the Hammer of the Emperor winding up for a devastating blow. Fantastic work, both the animation and the voice acting.

The worst part is they dont even need to dream about it they hired Syama Pedersen. They could do it and easily but GW wants to do it on a budget smaller then my mortgage payments.
honestly i like 40K i really do but with how GW is behaving and its getting worst not better im slowly finding my self shifting to Battle tech.

I am interested to see what enemy these tankers will face, noticing as the Imperials weren't intercepted by air or AA accets and lack infantry support for their vehicles.

Emperor's holy hair gel this was some of the best work I've seen to date brother, are the tanks "realistic" leman Russ with a cannon barrel that actually kinda represents the 120mm smooth bore size? Also the oscillating turret-ish design was a cool choice
Edit: saw comments saying was french, i was wondering about that because of the turret design lol, but excellent work sir/maam
I think they're Chimeras, but ones based on conversions you can find online that move the turret back.

you just know this is imperial Propaganda because it shows a proper fighter escort for only a single fairly small landing craft and a genuinly happy crew with nothing shooting at them LOL. ALSO i've seen that tank on DA its basically a Light Tank/Scout version of the Chimera.

I sometimes worry that GW has forgotten the Gothic aesthetic and feel that made 40k so unique and enthralling. The setting being a combination of Science fiction and Gothic horror is what makes it so unique.
I'm glad to see the fans haven't lost that spark.

2. I made it up, but it's inspired by existing imperial dropships.
3.Its the classical cinematic 2.39:1 aspect ratio. I uploaded it with the black bars at 4k resolution, because it was much easier for me in some aspects

Wait what ship is that? I dont think its a Stormraven since its too big. Its not a Thunderhawk or Thunderhawk Transport because it would have a cannon or the tanks would be underslung. Its definetly not a Stormbird and I'm pretty sure it isnt a standard Militarum Troop Transport because those have a catmaran-like hull design.
What are these transport vessels?
People on here talk about GW taking down fan animations but as far as i know they haven't done any of that.
Most of the taken down animations are from the creators themselves.
Meanwhile there are plenty of animations coming out with hundreds of thousands of views and not being taken down.
Hell, one of the SODAZ animation reuploads has almost a million views and is over 2 years old and hasn't been taken down.

Mainly Blender, but the rendering is done in Unreal Engine.

Also wanted to ask what is the transport the recon unit was being moved in is it something you created yourself or is it an actual aircraft?
I created it myself, but it was inspired by preexisting imperial dropships
