I llike the TAU so much. Appart from the Space marines, they are my secondary got faction. I kinda like their social approach, at least partailly.

To me all the grimdark of 40k can get really REALLY boring after a while so having a race like the tau with hopes and dreams is a really nice thing
@@Counterpoints40k is only cynical until it's about ultramarines or guardsmen doing something cool, then it's all treated as noblebright and nothing but Ws the entire way through.
I do like they’re mixing the leader with a X-25 suit and the others with the older X-15 suits, gives hope they will rerelease the x-15 model
As someone who hates the XV25, yes. A modernized XV15 would be awesome, but I doubt we’d get one. The tau are all about progress, and it’s reflected in both their lore and their kits. The XV25 replaced it :(

From the Exodite's opening statement, I really feel like the Eldari are just ignorant of the entire idea of teaching. You want them to learn the lessons from your own people? How? Have you ever taken a moment to talk to them about it? Any of them? I mean, the Imperium probably wouldn't listen, but the Tau almost certainly would.
Let's put it this way, the Eldari is one of those high IQ aliens that if they talk to Humans or Tau is like me talking to a new born baby ape. Tau to Eldar are somewhat lesser beings to them and they too are very judgemental to teach or trust them to know their ways, even if their ways of teaching them these lessons are very trivial, ambiguous and confusing. Heck even if they do take a moment to talk to them like a normal Tau or Human, its more likely they just want to manipulate them for whatever purpose they see fit in the moment.

That’s stupid , what is there to explain no talking will convince a species to stop expansion , but the only way to learn from arrogance is from suffering , every empire in human history has proven this , assuming aliens are like humans there is no talking , it won’t change
Kinda the point. The Eldar embody the stereotype of racist and elitist elves. They call humans monkeys and view the tau as a naively young race that’ll die out relatively soon
The space battle scenes are shot in a way very reminiscent of Battlestar Galactica, and that’s awesome.

Maybe because I'm a big Halo fan, but this one is my favorite. Tau look like Forerunners, and the battle in the orbit of the planet looks amazing.

For the Greater Good is a phrase that always leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
It is a Chinese communist sentiment so that makes sense
It's also and more know to be said by many extremists kind of people. Not only communists.
Like scientific doing atrocious and mortal human experiment "for the greater good of all", and other like that.
It's almost a sentence used in Human History to "explains" atrocity to be "necessity" for the betterment of all, and so, not so bad, because for a good goal.
As much as I prefer the original stealth suit design, the 'newer' model one definitely mounts the weapon a lot more logically. You can see how awkward it is having one arm thats literally a gun.
Too bad GW didn't want the Tau alien language to be spoken in this entire series like the old trailers set it out to be.
The original product was allegedly much more ambitious. I’m sad they cut it down so much.
It's especially disappointing, considering how much more funding GW provides vs. being completely independent.
Their media office populated by a bunch of chimps just throwing shit at the walls.
Imagine: Rick and Morty, after one of their numerous exhausting adventures taking a day off and sitting on the couch in front of their inter-dimensional cable. Randomly coming across Counterpoints40K Warhamner breakdowns, but it’s from a parallel universe narrated by Necron-Connor. Instantly getting soaked in, binge watching all videos and lore (like me) and getting ready for an over-the-top 40K Kill team mission as Comissar Rick & Ogryn Morty, with family, Birdperson, Squanchy and Mr. Poopybutthole bringing Da Ruckus to the grim dark future, where there is only war…and Rick and Morty.

I like how they still have the right of allowing humans to fight sometimes for the greater good.
I am conflicted, I think there is merit in these animations and stories, but I am loath to give money to Games Workshop for the way they treat people and the iP in general, you do good work

What is the resource consumption to create a space marine or at least the massive genetically created beings that are space marines?
