I KNOW YOU WERE HAPPY TO HEAR IT RUN YOU HAVE PUT IN A LOT OF TIME AND WORK IN TO IT AND STAYED WITH IT AND NEVER GAVE UP ON IT SOUNDS REALLY GOOD TO
After watching your videos on the kit I decided to get it for my 2v. Pushing 8 pounds of boost and playing it on the safe sound since I don't want to touch the engine for now. However the car has been absolutely transformed and love it. From the noises to the power band it's just awesome now. Thanks for all the help and so excited to see the 2v on the streets again.
That's awesome glad to hear it! How much HP/TQ you putting down on 8lbs? Yeah the sounds of the turbo and the exhaust you just can't beat it! Thanks I can't wait should be ripping after the tuning session
In a world of turbo BMW's, hellcats 5.0's etc, it is so satisfying to absolutely wax ass with a turbo new edge. Thats why I follow these guys, keep my myself and others motivated to follow thru with their new edge builds. These cars are the old heads of hauling ass.
@@RatchetWrenchesmaking 368 wheel horsepower and 389 lb/ft torque. Nothing crazy but so much fun
So hyped to finally see this thing almost on the road again!! Cant wait for regular content on the car!
I can't freaking wait either should be road ready right after the dyno tune
Glad to see your back. I just finished my install of a vortech v3 for my 1999 Gt.
Glad to be back myself it's been too long! And that's awesome I'm sure that'll be a blast I've heard great things from the Vortech V3
I'm pretty happy with it . On 91 I made 432 whp and 422 torque on 12psi. there is definitely more in it. I just don't want to push it on stock bottom end. She'd be around 500 to the crank. Looking forward to seeing what you put down
@@tylerstallmann8803 those are some great results! Definitely play it safe and have fun with those numbers
As far as the catch can set up goes are you using the kit they have for coyotes?? I’ve been wanting to convert my PCV to AN and noticed the coyote and 2V twist PCV’s are very similar but never knew they actually were compatible with our valve covers till I saw this video
IT'S ALIVE.......and sounds very very good!
Thank you!! Heck yeah it does
On your fuel sending unit. I replaced mine after upgrading the pumps with a new factory unit and was told the car has to “relearn” the fuel level. It did to a point but it’s not accurate. I just fill up every 125 miles.
Interesting. Thanks for the input it's been driving me nuts. I'm definitely going to keep the tank always half full at all times due to the dual pump set up and they'll produce a lot more heat
Beautiful.
Thanks
Looking good brotha!! You need some rear lower control arms, especially with the extra power..
Thank you! And haha I need a whole new rear end 🤣 that's next up
Can you guys do a video of the cost for the built engine? Love the 2v platform and great content
I definitely can yeah and thanks appreciate that!
Do you have the build list of parts to beef up the bottom end?
Good thing you caught that dogg. Do you have an OP gauge? Good catch, that can be expensive!
I don't, but plan on getting one!
I only came back for this car
Thank you 🙏🏼
@@RatchetWrenches what’s the hp and how many lbs of boost?
Watch those afr's running a little lean 😬 hopefully your tuner can sort that out
Yeah this is just a base start up tune so I'm sure he'll dial it in
Chop chop movie man we don't got all day
I know I know! It's coming
I wanted to turbo my mustang using your kit just cuz I want a turbo but then that happened to your car and I was scared Asf to get it turbocharged. Plus my engine has a lot of weird crap done to it by the previous owner like a egr delete and for some reason he removed the PCV hoses. Idk don’t think I should turbo it until it’s up to date on everything.
I was pushing the limits on the stock bottom end and paid the price. If you decide to turbo it eventually you'd be removing the EGR and PCV hoses btw! EGR isn't necessarily required even N/A
Go with a supercharger, the kenne bell kit is made for a stock 2v it’s completely safe, looks awesome and gives these cars the low end torque they need, superchargers running 10-11 pounds of boost are tried and true on these cars to be reliable and effective.. If you don’t like the kenne bell there’s the torque tech kit and a Whipple set up.. I gave Ratchet here the same spiel before he blew his engine, I’m sure he has no regrets because this looks like a fun build, but think of the time and money that could have been saved going with a quality set up instead of some mid grade turbo set up..
@@RatchetWrenchesi appreciate you guys feed back on this much love 💪🏻⚡️
🤘🤘
Ill!
When we getting a dyno video??
Waiting on my tuner to free up an appointment for me so not sure
@@RatchetWrencheswhat’s his number? I’ll tell him to hurry his ass up
Anyone trying to do the on3 kit do your self a favor and throw the relocation kit away and buy a quality piece
You're not wrong it sucks! Problem is there aren't too many other options. MMR and one other if I'm not mistaken. Both are better though
😂
Here Early lol
need new tires, those shit nittos arent good for anything over 300hp
Mine did good when the car was running at almost 450HP before but yeah the power level I'm trying to hit I'm gonna need better ones for sure!
