Rear suspension geometry is what you are going to have to do your homework on, there is no tire on earth, even 315's that is going to keep your tires from spinning @ 500+ whp. Im by no means an expert but i am dabbling into that as well. You are going to have to get rear lower control arm adjusters so you can adjust the instant center on your car, or anti squat as ive heard. Look into it, from what ive started learning thats the way to go. It basically forces your tires into the ground for more traction.
Not to detract from the point youre making but ive had great luck with r888r and tq's by toyo, held 600whp with ease on a stock rear suspension setup. The 555R2's are not a bad tire either, identical to toyo with bit less cornering ability. Dont forget your panhard bar!
Hey man, I never post comments but I love it! Ive seen your channel in the past but I'm gonna follow! Im tuning on a megasquirt and i love it. Thanks so much! Yeah detonation truly sucks! If megasquirt works for you that's awesome! I still have some time to think and research but I'll probably still go with a Holley ECU when the time comes.
Turbo is the ultimate muffler. I went back and forth between bassani and borla catbacks through out my NA/supercharged and turbo setup. No muffler will sound like a tractor
Haha yeah I'm worried the drone and rasp is gonna be too much with straight pipes or a bumper dump. It sounds pretty good as it is now but I want it a little louder
@@RatchetWrenches I have had pypes viloators and tail pipes and now magnaflow straight through mufflers with dumps. I hate them all. My setup sounded sooo much better NA. The turbo really quieted my 278's down :(
@@RatchetWrenchesstraight exhaust with a turbo is similar volume to na or supercharged with straight exhaust into high flow mufflers. The turbo muffles it which is likely why you want more sound. @@RatchetWrenches I got a 97 2v third and I’ve been thinking about boosting and building the motor and I was curious what the ballpark on the built motor was for you?
@dylancompton4024 that's awesome! I'm gonna be doing a cost break down video soon since it's such a requested question so keep an eye out for that video!
If you can justify its cost, the MegaSquirt pro for our cars allows you to switch beteeen pump and e85 on the fly, no draining. Itll detect the ethanol and adjust the tune accordingly. Great investment if you want an e85 capable car that can auto-switch on the fly
I'm definitely in the market for a standalone ECU in the near future! I'm gonna try straight E85 for the summer and see how it goes and then depending on that I may upgrade to a Megasquirt or Holley

I'm at 700hp and 850tq at the wheels with e85 @15lbs running terminator x. Im still on stock rearend. And its crazy on street tires. I can't wait to build the rearend and get some sticky tires cause these mt radials don't hook 😂 go 2v gang
Shewww those are some serious numbers! I really have been wanting to do a terminator and think it's needed at that power level. Hahah yeah that power on stock rear end and street tires is probably like a roller coaster. 2v Gang 💪🏽
The car sounds and looks great! An idea for fuel could be a doing meth injection. E85 is great but definitely hard to use when you don't have it around you and abundantly. My cousin's big turbo 5th gen Camaro was built and tuned on 93 + Meth as the previous owners lived way out in the country. We'll be putting it on E85 soon since we have a ton around us. The benefits definitely out weigh the drawbacks though when it comes to performance. Naturally occurring cooling effect which means cooler cylinder temps, able to run up a higher air charge temp before retarding timing, and more timing/boost overall while being safer. Essentially 109 octane fuel. But I'd definitely look into a meth kit, it maybe be solution for you. And the best part is, it's boost operated and you can usually set the boost requirement before activation. Depending on how you drive, you can easily make a 2 gallons of meth last a month or more.
Damn that's tempting! Yeah I'll have to way my options out. I haven't committed to E85 besides buying some VP racing cans so far. I've heard great things about meth injection from some people
