How to use Elgato Stream Deck with Logic Pro: Setup Stream Deck Hotkeys with Logic Pro

In this video, I walk through my Stream Deck settings to optimize my Logic Pro workflow. Using the hotkeys, I'm able to quickly access certain settings and actions with a push of a button.

Another cool command for the file Folder would be the Bounce command!
To export the final mix in mp3/wav
It would be Command B.

The real magic starts by using the Streamdeck as a Midi controller - far more useful than just calling keyboard shortcuts!

You can use MIDI too and it will be no necessary to have logic x at forefront to use the SD.

Great video, but could you explain how to get Streamdeck to connect with Logic in the first place? Logic is not one of the choices in the Companion GUI when you are creating instances. Anyone have insight?

At 1:55 he is adding Logic to Stream deck, so one can launch Logic by pressing the icon on stream deck. Once Logic is launched stream deck will then interact with the programme in the same way as any keyboard . One can use The Stream-deck programme to add the hot key shortcuts. Hope that helps.

I checked it twice, and it's missing this step. He goes straight from copying the icon to opening logic, and that's not how this works.
Once you have the icon in place, give it a name, then click the box below the title, open your applications folder, highlight Logic and click open. That will do it.

i have the elgato and for a long time now and the uses have dwendled down, however just got logic pro, i need a work flow for a recording engineer like hot keys for add a track , loop, audition, return, quantize, etc..... but i guess i need more time learning LOGIC... don"t know if you done a video on stuff like that yet meaning specifically, because this one may be saying something similar, just would be blanket answers instead of direct to personal usage, none the less i need help, what ever you can do thanks,, but yeah great video.
