I'm really glad she's ok.
I'm crying for her. That 40 mins of just knowing that you are going to either die or get rescued. But the thought of sitting there for 40 minutes thinking about your son being left alone in this world is insane. I would have just faint and just hope for the best.

Retired driver here FYI the only thing keeping the cab of the truck connected to the trailer was the kink pin ,A 1.5 inch thick steal pin that hangs under the trailer and locks into the 5th wheel the cab or truck weighs almost 16,000 lbs .and a steal tongue lever hold's that pin in place with spring pressure .
That held long enough for her to escape death. Wow. Thanks for the detail sir.
I was gonna say! Not that i knew that, but I'd be trying to climb out and up, not trusting that my cab is stable. I'd be too scared to trust anything in 40min+ to wait for rescue 😅 She was lucky indeed!

I'm not so forgiving as a retired trucker of 45 years i have seen more than my share of scary wrecks and deaths .he has a record already .he needs jail time .And permanent loss of his license a lot of community service hours and counseling .And after all that a long time on probation .but would never forgive him but would give him 1 only last chance to change his life .

That is absolutely it I’m a truck driver myself and knowing that the lock jaws holding that kin pin which connects the trailer and tractor together is just amazes me that that kept that poor woman alive I’m crying watching this video God was rt by her side

She's a kind hearted and thoughtful woman. I'm really glad she survived and is progressing thru the trauma. To God be the glory.
I’m in tears for her; with the thought of dangling there for almost an hour is absolutely terrifying. I am so grateful that she is alive and I hope she will be able to work through the trauma that this situation may bring.
I am enraged for her. That man was reckless and put everyone’s life (that was on that bridge) in danger or dying. He needs to be put behind bars. Thankfully she had survived but she could have. He would have destroyed her family and her son would have grown up with knowing his mother. This is absolutely horrendous. Regardless if he has any remorse, he needs to be punished. He would be facing involuntary manslaughter charges if she were to pass. So, 🤷🏼♀️ he needs to be charged definitely for reckless endangering and disregard for human life. It’s a miracle that no one lost their life that day.

The truck driver didn't swerve to avoid the stalled car, he hit it! And then he caromed off of it towards the oncoming semi.
When he hit the car the steering linkage to his right front wheel broke, and that's why he couldn't steer away from the oncoming truck. You can see the wheel pointing the wrong way in the video.
Witnesses said he was driving like a jerk, swerving, and cutting people off. He was probably so busy doing that that he didn't even see the stalled car.
Yeah I noticed that too and was trying to get a closer look at that because that's what it look like to me too and hw broke her steering linkage too causing her to have no control over her truck.
He was driving wreckless. And who knows if he was sober or not
Within 3 seconds your life can change drastically. Glad she made it out unscathed.

Hopefully you have something like this happen in your life so you can see how good he is. I’m a ex military and I’ll say this. Firefighters don’t get enough credit and they’re not paid enough. But I’m truly happy she’s safe.

went across the non toll bridge on my way from Florida to Chicago and back a week ago, and that one is a 2 lane, it was super sketchy especially for it to be part of the highway/?Interstate?. Both times crossing I was nervous asf because i knew I wouldn't swerve over but what if someone else did? A week later it happens on the other bridge, craziness. Glad she's safe.

If it were a man even with the swerving or bumping car he would not have ended up over the rails. Men are so much mentally and physically stronger and smarter than us. I could never cross a bridge again. That fire fighter is a true Hero. I am so afraid of heights I would not be cognitive enough to help him rescue me. She also was amazing for how she handled that whole situation. The entire Rescue crew are Heris. The guy who caused it shiuld never get his license back m although that did not matter to him then.

What people don't understand is Black folk are a forgiving people. She said she forgave him and I believe her. Now, let's pray the justice system makes him pay for his crime. He has not learned his lesson and continues to drive on a suspended license. He needs to sit in prison and think about his actions and have his license suspended for at least 10 years after he gets out. He also needs to pay for the rescue, medical bills, damages to the bridge and to the truck (along with the inventory in the truck).
She said she was guilty of praying but not thinking God was listening . God certainly got her attention that day. He showed her that He WAS listening all the time.

But, what you don't see in this video, is she was driving with her chin resting on her hand propped up on one knee, she obviously wasn't paying full attention to her driving.
