  • Earlier this month, the brave men and women of the Louisville Division of Fire performed a daring rescue when a semi-truck was dangling over the Ohio River with a driver trapped inside. Sgt. Joe Berrow, Cpt. Michael Renn and rescue firefighter Bryce Carden reflect on the harrowing day, and share how their team was able to do something they've never done before to get the driver safely out of the truck. Watch till the end for a special message from Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear to the brave firefighters.

Great story how everyone avoided panic. That truck was hanging on by a thread. Rather amazing it didn't fall to the river, not to mention how odd that it managed to turn sharp enough to fit through the bridge members.
What ruined it for me is that attention seeking politician calling in, he had nothing to do with the brave action of all involved, but he had to be a politician getting his face in front of the public even if he had to shoehorn his way in. Still, that politician being a typical slimeball politician takes nothing away from the folks involved in this.

If and this is a big IF all of us around the world would just realize that working together to help each other is how we are supposed to be. The bickering, hate, killings for no reason at all, bitterness without forgiveness is tearing the human race apart. The brave and unselfish actions of everyone involved is the greatest gift that anyone can give. First responders have big hearts and give of themselves on a daily basis with little regard. Acts like this rescue are not for show, this was a God given command to do one thing right. All of the rescuers were placed where He wanted them to be. Allowing this woman to survive so that she would be able to find at a time in her life when she will help that one person.
